Before had gone through all the necessary preparations for this little mission and was looking forward to it. One weekend in each month was all they got and he was going to use it for all he could! And the best part? He was going to spend it with one of his BFFs~ *w* <33333
He was dressed in casual clothes, surprisingly preppy casual clothes, but given where they were going he was planning on blending in. And toning down the idiocy if he could remember to. Vanna remained pinned on him but positioned underneath his collar. As much as he liked seeing her unsummoned form, most people would find her kitschy. He checked his phone, glad to see he was early and while anxiously adjusting his shirt for the Nth time as he waited for Tori.

The Lifer had gotten up early that morning to at least get a run in to where she could figure out what the hell she was going to wear since she didn't have much at all. But once she had gotten back to her room she still was clueless and Aklin was laughing at her for what she was doing.
Finally she had decided on classy casual clothing that was simmular to what she wore all the time anyways and she even wore her scarf that hid Aklin fully well knowing that he wouldn't be on any approved list of things she could wear. Quickly making her way to the portal room to were she was going to meet Before were they could go and have a fun time that didn't involved killing things.
"Heya, Before!" Tori called when she spotted him waiting for her in the portal room and walked up to him.

The Misty waved, eager to get a start on their day. He gave an appreciative whistle for what the Lifer was wearing, "Niiiiiice, something from the Spring line? Hopefully I won't look too dated next to you, but we are going clothes shopping, yeah?" he grinned, offering her his arm before they step through the portal.
A nearby Hunter rolled her eyes at Before.

Smiling as she waved back and Tori did blush a little when Before whistled at her. "Thanks, not really just something I had," she replied a little sheepishly. "You don't look too dated, but then I don't' know what the current fashions are right now. Yep we are," Tori added as she had been mentally keeping a list of what she wanted to get it wasn't long. Smiling a little more as she took the arm she was offered and stepped through the portal.

Before scratched his cheek in thought, "I don't think any of us are as up to date with what's the latest trend is. Unless they regularly go back to society." He was mid-sentence when they stepped through the portal and arrived in the parking lot of one of the trendier and more high end outdoor malls. "You ever been here before?" he asked.

Tori giggled slightly as it was true and she didn't even know how long she had been asleep, oh well at least she could make her own choices. "True to that, but at least that is something that we don't have to keep up with," She replied as they had gotten to the other side of the portal. Looking around as it was new in its own way without others making sure she behaved. "I think I have, but it has been awhile. Most of the time I didn't go out and when I did I always had lots of bodyguards with me to make sure I behaved," she replied.

Lots of bodyguards, huh? He mused on this, it made sense given how strict her upbringing was. "My parents let me be more covert when I go out. Said learning how to blend was part of life lessons. But that wasn't until I went through puberty," he wryly glanced down at himself, "Not that you can tell. A-anyway, what's first on the agenda? Ladies pick first," he smiled as they crossed the parking lot, heading towards the center of the outdoor mall.

"That sounds like a whole lot better than what I was aloud to do," Tori replied as for the most part she wore what ever her mother wanted to her to wear and very little choice in the matter.
Tori thought on that for a little as she wasn't sure were to go first, she did want to go book shopping but then thought against that since they would have to then carry them around so maybe towards the end of the trip. "That was nice of you, and lets go get some new clothing first then," she answered with a smile while they walked up to the outdoor mall keeping her arm around Before's arm.

The pair strolled up to the center of the outdoor mall, "Weren't you like, allowed any friends? I'd totes imagine you'd be given some leeway to go shopping with people of the same social standing?" Before hmm'ed in thought. "You strike me as a Gucci girl or a Dolce dame."

"I did have friends that I hung out with and did shopping but those were far and few between especially when traveling around the world a lot and there was always a bodyguard or two to make sure I behaved the way my parents wanted especially to make sure I didn't say anything about the shadows," Tori answered. "Also when I did hang out with friends for the most part it was at the house as they were always wanting to hang out at the house when I really wanted to do something outside," she added remembering that bit and she never could figure out why they liked doing that but then they had never been house bound at all she thought. "Both of them make wonderful clothing and other stuff. Is there anything you have in mind that you are looking for clothing?"

"You acknowledged seeing the shadows, too?" Before quietly asked as they headed for one of the designer brand stores. "My nanny Constance was the only one who believed me when I told her about the weirdo living in my closet who wouldn't go away when I was a kid."
He stopped talking about it when they entered the boutique and the attendant began to show them some of their selections. "See anything you like, Story?"

"I did as the house I lived was an old house that had been in my fathers family," Tori quietly answered back wondering really hard if she should tell him and then she listened to what his own nanny did for him. "That was really sweet of her, my own nanny..." she started a little nervous as she had once try to tell someone about this but was laughed at. "That really cared for me would have believed me but it was the shadows that took her from me," Tori finally said softly.
Sighing softly when they entered the boutique and watched to what was being brought out and thought to what she liked. "I do like that the outfit with the blue skirt and the jacket," she answered. "How about you?"

"You like blue a lot, huh?" Before remarked, "Personally, I think you'd look good in that white blouse and skirt ensemble, but you get whatever you like," he insisted, hoping Tori would go with her own preferences. He wanted her to feel like an individual whose opinions and choices mattered, ignoring how they were in a militaristic organization where they were expected to be a cog within the ******** god-machine. He himself had accepted his feelings and desires were irrelevant, well not to Vanna but she was a special case.

"I do, it was a color that my mother didn't like too much and proceded to make sure that I didn't get to wear it very often if she could help it," Tori replied as she looked over what he had suggested and found that it was good looking too. "Your right it would look good but put with it that little blue sweater jacket will match the skirt just nicely," she replied as she looked over more things as there was a lot of clothing to choose from. "Well I know that you look good in teal which is blue with green in it, so why don't you choose something with that color and I know black looks good with that color as well, but anyways what is your favorite color, Before?" Tori asked.

Before tilted his head in surprise, "Why wouldn't she approve of that color? It looks really good on you!" he exclaimed. Then quickly followed with a stammer, "U-unless, uh, there's some really bad blood between her and that color." He mulled over Tori's suggestion with the colors and choices, "Black does go with everything, truth be told, I wish I could properly pull off red but uh, I look like a lobster in it. My fav color's totes green," he answered.
"Why don't you put on the ensembles and I'll go pick something out for me in the meantime?" he proposed.
