While the docks are one end of the hiking trail, the top of this mountain is the other. If one were to try and climb to this high altitude it would take at least a couple days to reach. Once someone climbs to the top they will find the top of the mountain to be flattened out in a wide smooth circle of rock just below the clouds, like an arena of sorts.

Karis Harkness
Tired, exhausted, words that could describe how Karis felt at the moment. She was more of a "Brain" girl, not so much a brawn. So, for her to make this long trek up the mountain, took alot out of her. But, she was here..and thus bringing a round of excitement to the surface.
"Hmmm..." She sounded, looking at the surrounding area. A flat surface, almost like an arena was around. "This could work.." she said to herself. She said this because, for her order of training...she needed a high altitude, which..she knew she was at. The air was thin up here, not enough to give trouble, at least..not for the training, perhaps though, for fighting or strenuous exercise..but she would not need that. No, definitely not.
Going to the complete opposite side, she noted that it took a steep dip, she knew that anyone to go off of there would be lucky to come away with there life. She shivered, thinking about the mangled-ness of her body, falling and pin-balling from rock to rock. Straight ahead.. was a great and fantastic view of the island.. clouds obstructing some of it, but she would imagine that on a completely clear day, it would be beautiful. Tossing her stuff off to the side, save her book , she sat down, crossing her legs over one another. Propping the book in-between, she began to read...and soon, after utilizing her photographic memory, no longer needed the book. Gently, she slid the book out to her other belongings, closed her eyes and put her hands on her legs, palms up.
Taking deep & calming breaths, she tried her hardest to clear her mind..which, for someone as smart as her, who used her mind more then anything..was a difficult task...but, within moments..the only thing that passed through her was open space(1/5) Space that quickly negated from her surrounding land, but surroundings space. Of the air that passed her in every direction. (2/5) Winds that whipped around, causing her great strain..not enough to physically knock her over, or cause harm, but hard enough to differentiate north wind, to south, to eat, from west..almost causing her to lose her concentration.(3/5) Taking a step back, mentally of course, she drew more calming breaths, utilizing her ki to feel the winds..an her senses, behind closed eyes she can almost separate them into different colors. No, not almost...definitely. (4/5) From the way she was positioned, she instantly felt North from her back, South from the front, East from the right, and west from the left...The color spectrum's raging behind closed eyes, threatening to bust froward, threatening to make her lost from within..(5/5) "Ahhh!" She cried, throwing herself out of her trance..it had left her sprawled on her right side, the winds blowing through her hair as she re-caught her breath. A migraine nestled into her brain..but alas, she was victorious..she had accomplished something people only dream of. (Stage 1: Four Winds/ "Learned" )

Karis Harkness

Migraine resting in her mind, making things almost unbearable, Karis knew that she had to keep going, to keep thinking, to learn not just the first stage of the four winds, but the first few techniques. (1/3) Standing still, and closing her eyes, she would admit, that this was a little scary..almost not coming out of the last time she deeply concentrated(2/3). Feeling for the winds came easier, the colors not so bright, but..any foreign objects or beings she could now sense, the little bug that flew behind her, checking her our but not getting in swatting distance. The piece of pollen that was to her left, everything in she could now sense against the breaking air. Soon, she was sure she could feel from a greater distance.(3/3) Learned: Wind Reading.
The next techniques, she remembered would not need such concentration.. she was thankful for that, for the headache seemed to get progressively worse. (1/3) Holding out her hand, right at the book she slid across to her other belongings. She felt for the release of Ki inside of her, feeling it react to the wind around her center self..the book began to shake.(2/3) Strands of hair blowing back from her head, she called upon the Eastern wind. Within seconds, the book came to her..right into her hand. (3/3) With time, she thought, that it would be less shaky, and just slip right into her hands. Learned: Eastern Wind: Pull
Ki, more then enough flowing about, she now would call upon the western wind, to push herself about. (1/3) Hand jutting out to the right, she felt herself skid to the left. Now, swinging her hand to the left, she went right..she would have to be careful, her shoes or whatever she was wearing at the time could quickly wear down, or she could easily trip .(2/3) Finally, flinging both of her hands at the ground, she felt herself lift skyward, bringing her about 5 feet off of the ground, doing so once more, she was not 10 feet. A childish dream of flying suddenly welled up inside of her, wanting to go higher and higher..but, she would not..she would perhaps save that for another day.(3/3) Learned: Western Wind: Push
Looking around, for something..small, perhaps round...she finally found it. On the other side of the mountain top, she saw a small rounded rock..unusual to her. Seeing as how it was completely round up here.(1/3) It made her think, that training for the "Four Winds" style, was..in particular, made for up here. She also thought, 'Was she the only one? Were there more users? Like her' She shrugged her shoulders, perhaps she would seek out more later. (2/3) Walking over to these flat rocks, she pointed her hand out. Fingers extended as she felt the southern wind, suddenly it picked up the one of many smooth rocks, and cast it up in the air..and for a few moments, she lost her grip on it...shrinking away, and moving to cover her head, scared about the falling rock. Looking up, she faced her fear and continued to hold it in place. (3/3) Learned: Southern Wind: Lift
Holding the rock in place, she shot it skyward , watching it go up and up until it came down once more. (1/3) Calling for the North wind, shifting her right hand down, the rock came plummeting down so swiftly, that it cracked the arena, the small rounded rock now imbedded into the top. (2/3) Getting tired, she wanted to try this move on a living object. Something that would put up a brief struggle..the sheer idea would make almost everyone look at her with worry, but she would not hurt the..well, whatever she used it on, but see the extent of her power. (3/3) The time would have to wait a little longer, she was tired of this mountain top, and had a killer headache. Learned: Northern Wind: Fall
Picking up her things, she went back down the way she came. (-Exit-)

FENRIR Only through howls of lust and fury
The hike took days but finally Fenrir made it to the top of the mountain. The first thing he noticed was how difficult it was to breathe in this high atmosphere. Why would his "teacher" bring him to such a place? With all of his provisions long gone, Fenrir stepped onto the flat surface of the mountain top without any further supplies than the clothes on his back and the weapons in his pocket.

A man of gargantuan proportions stood at the peak of this mountain. The jagged rock that was beneath him provided a place to balance, however that place was atop a part of the rock that was as thin as a pinhead. However, this herculean man, standing at six feet, eleven inches tall, and over three hundred pounds of pure muscle, managed to do this feat with relative ease. The man felt the boy come up to the top of the mountain. "Making it here is an easy feat, but making it to me is not. You have done well for yourself boy. You are Fenrir, correct?" The man spoke with a booming voice that let out hymns of wisdom and power that danced across the wind in perfect harmony. This was Mr. Fuu.

FENRIR Only through howls of lust and fury
"My name is Marcus." Fenrir replied, staring the man down. The man's size didn't intimidate him, but he was sure to keep himself aware as always. Being bigger was usually a strength for Fenrir in a fight because it meant his opponent had bigger pressure points, but their power also made them difficult to control. Still Fenrir got the impression that this man's skill went beyond his physical limitations. "Fenrir is just a nick-name, but you can call me that I guess. How do you know who I am?"

The beat of a man seemed to just vanish from his position in a flash, but blurs of movement could be noticed skimming across the area between the boy and the man's original position. After a blur would appear, the ground would be torn from its roots and then thrown all about. Eventually, the area was completely torn to shreds and dust filled the air. Behind Fenrir, about twenty feet, would sit this man. Around him was an entire camp, consisting of two tents, one three times the size of the other, an already lit campfire, and fish that were roasting on a spit. "Come sit with me, boy. I will speak with you. I urge you not to turn me down, for it will be nightfall soon and you will need to have lodging once the winds blow. A blow as small as yours cannot handle this place until you have properly adjusted." The man spoke the truth. Once realization about nightfall was made, the sky would seem considerably darker and the fire would appear more enticing by the second. If this boy wanted to find power, he would need to do so by listening to this mysterious man.

FENRIR Only through howls of lust and fury
Fenrir glanced around. The man was right, though nightfall never hindered him much, the steepness of the mountain would present a challenge. He could probably take it on, or at least he told himself that, but he didn't want to leave just yet with this man pulling such a stunt. Perhaps this man could teach him something. "Hmph, what've I got to lose?" Fenrir muttered to himself with a shrug and approached the man again. "I get the feeling you've had more time mastering your Gene-X skills than I have, but you're far older than any student here. Then again, this academy has only been running for a little over ten years now...or so I've been told." He crossed his arms over his chest and tried to figure the man out, but asked his question anyways. "What're you doing here?"

Gene-X.... That was the powerful that granted men the power of Gods. Or, at least, that was a pretty good description of what this thing did. "To assume that I have the Gene-X factor," the man would trail off and then look out at the sky as the sun was setting faster and faster. "To assume that is only an allegation, boy. Never assume." The man would see the fish were done and then grab the spit. There were a total of six fish on it, enough to feed a few people for the night. He would just grunt and just slurp each fish from the spit all at once, leaving nothing for the boy.
After chewing the meal and releasing a satisfied sigh, the man would stare intently into the eyes of Fenrir. "You ask about my presence here... My answer is simple; I am here because I am. There is nothing else that is needed to know about my presence. Maybe you will earn the right to interrogation soon enough..." The man would ease up a bit and then relax in the cool breeze. Soon, the wind would pick up and the elevation would mean that the chill factor would become significantly stronger. "Your training will begin now. You and I will sit through the entire night. You will not stray from your position, nor will you receive nourishment. Upon the coming of dawn, you may indulge yourself."

FENRIR Only through howls of lust and fury
Fenrir's curiosity peaked. Was this man suggesting that he'd amassed his power without using the Gene-X injection? It was a little too impossible for him to believe, even when he himself had tried to reach the same strength without using the injection. Regardless, this man's answers were cryptic. He didn't find it necessary to ask Mr. Fuu any further questions. Rather, Fenrir took a seat where he was and remained sitting. If this was meant to be a test of patience or self-control, he would find that Fenrir had already mastered it. In fact that was the one true skill he'd amassed in his life, and the one that eventually led him to this island. Despite all of his rage and ferocity Fenrir realized long ago that control and self-discipline was the key to all fighting. As for not eating, that was simple. Before the island there was a time when Fenrir was practically homeless. Not being able to eat was a frequent sight in the ghettos, even in a place as luxurious as Hawaii. "Very well." He simply replied to Mr. Fuu as he receded into his meditation. As he did so, he began purifying his Ki once more so that he could continue to use his lightning in the coming days. Sparks of electricity soon started to hum and jolt across his visible muscles.

As the lightning began to envelop Fenrir, the man's interest peaked. If this boy had the Gene-X within him, then that would mean... "The Inner Storm.... I see...." After muttering those word under his breath, the man entered the same state as Fenrir and focused his energy. However, unlike Fenrir's manifestation of the style, this man created change in the environment as well. As the lightning formed a tempest around his body, the air became distilled and a glow emanated from this body. "Seeing that you can use this power...makes me wonder exactly how powerful you can become through the help of the Gene-X."

FENRIR Only through howls of lust and fury
"Hmph," Fenrir audibly sounded, his eyes still closed in meditation. "I believe Akasun had the same fascination. Its the only reason for why he brought me here. So," He said in a calm tone as he opened one crystal blue eye at Mr. Fuu. "How powerful can I become?"

"Human will can only do so much for a man. On will alone, I have forced myself to become what I have always thought to be the ultimate weapon. No man has ever seemed to come close to being near my level. But then came the Gene-X, and I was shown that science now has entered the fray." The pressure would build and a tempest grew around the two of them, emanating from Mr. Fuu's power. "With the Gene-X, one can surpass a man such as I without nearly the same amount of training. If I teach you the iron will I have made for myself, then you can become no less than the greatest fighter alive."

FENRIR Only through howls of lust and fury
Fenrir's electricity quietly cackled around him as he listened to Mr. Fuu. His expression remained unchanging as he concentrated on his meditation. Meanwhile the storm around him started to whip around quite heavily, blowing his wild mane of black hair up and across his face. "You praise me with promises of such titles as 'the strongest', if you really can create such a thing." He said calmly but seriously. "And yet we've only just met. What makes you think I'm worthy of it?"

Mr. Fuu cracked a smirk as he heard what the boy had to say. "What makes you worthy? The answer is nothing. You have not yet proven yourself to me. But if you wish to seek the power of becoming the strongest, then all you have to do if have faith in your own power and then survive the training. After all, an oak will never grow tall if it cannot withstand a storm." The storm around them would stop and then the cloud cover would clear, revealing a bright sunlight. As they spoke, time had seemed to rush by in a flash. Was it a trick? Or maybe Mr. Fuu had influenced time itself. It was neither. The distraction created by the meditation and the inner storm abilities had provided an illusion in which time would have not seemed to move, but in reality they were letting the time go by ten times faster. "Now then, boy, can you withstand the storm?"
