There was a beach located a bit north in the region. Due to rocks, no boat could get close enough to dock there, and due to some difficult mountainous terrain, most chose not to come by land, but rumor had it that it was warm and sunny there all year round, no matter how cold the world was around it.

Like today for example. While most of the area was having a cold and blustery day with chilly rain and high winds, here at this stretch of sand very few ventured to, the weather was warm and the sea was calm and flat like a pane of blue glass, the rocks outlining a pretty pool for those willing to trek here to swim in. There wasn't a cloud in the sky, and the sun shown brightly.

The only odd thing, aside from the weather, was a sand dune that was smack dab in the middle of the beach. If one placed their hand on the sand, it would be hot to touch, almost too hot for some, and if they listened ever so closely, they could possibly hear faint snoring. For you see, this dune was Roswitha, the Groudon, who had buried herself under the sand for her nap.

“You were right Sasha; it is warm here!” Lexi exclaimed in shock. She had not been expecting to find a beach this warm, so far north and during this time of the year. The warm air felt nice on her skin, though she was sure to keep her parasol out, to shield her from the sun’s rays. For some, the mountainous terrain would be difficult, but for Lexi, well, she didn’t even need shoes. She just happily levitated the whole distance. Despite her initial shock at seeing the added ghost DNA, it did have its advantages. Levitation certainly suited her, it was like the very sky was carrying her and she certainly loved being carried.

“See,” Sasha gloated, “I knew what I was talking about!” She was excited; this would be the perfect place to go swimming. She didn’t know exactly what she was, but she was pretty certain, that she was at least partially a water type. She just loved the feel of water. She couldn’t wait to dive right in; Sasha wasn’t the type to slowly ease herself into the water. She couldn’t levitate, but the mountainous terrain wasn’t difficult for her in the slightest. Heck, even though she was the only one doing any actual walking, she was the one carrying the two chairs, the blanket, and the ice chest. She had strength to spare.

Scanning the beach, Alexis pointed to a large mound and said, “Lets put our stuff up there.”

Nodding in agreement, Sasha replied, “Sure! That looks like a good spot!”
Lexi led the way with Sasha close behind. Once there, Sasha unfolded both chairs, unfurled the blanket, and set the ice chest down. Not wanting to hold it the whole time, Lexi thrust the parasol into the ground.

The mound shook a bit as the parasol was thrust into it, not enough to remove any of the other items, but enough that the two girls would have easily noticed the slight shake. That, and a crimson hued head popped out towards the end of the mound. Yellow eyes blinked sleepily as they peered at the pair of girls. Apparently the lump was the Groudon's tummy with the way her head seemed to be coming out of the sand.

Roswitha commented with a yawn.

Lexi’s eyes widened in shock as the ground began to shake and a crimson head erupted forth from it. She almost screamed, but she, just barely, managed to hold it in. “Gi… gi…gi.. ant Pokémon under the sand?” It was far from her most intelligent statement, but it was all she could get out; she was taken a bit off guard.

Sasha, on the other hand, while not expecting this in the least, was better able to handle the situation. “Wow! You’re big! Why are you under the sand though? Is it comfortable under there? Would you like a sandwich? We brought more than enough to share!” Sasha was absolutely enthralled; she wanted to get to know this Pokémon.

Regaining her composure slightly, Lexi, who was now feeling bad about poking this Pokémon, as she was sure she had, apologized. “I’m sorry for poking you with the parasol… I didn’t realize anyone was there. Are you ok?” As large as the Groudon was, she was still worried that she might have hurt her.

Roswitha gave half a chuckle, as that was all she could manage in her sleepy state. The girl with the green hair was reacting how most reacted when she popped out of the sand, and honestly she couldn't blame the girl. The other one was reacting how few people reacted, with lots of questions, and while Roswitha figured they were like most humans not understanding her, she always would answer them.

she said as she yawned again before smiling a rather pointy smile. She then chuckled at the offer of food.

She was starting to wake up a bit more now, and as she blinked her eyes, she could see more that these girls weren't as human as she thought they were. Still, more questions to answer.

she said to Lexi.

“Groudon? Groudon….. Why does that sound familiar?” Sasha asked herself as she hopped off the Pokémon’s stomach and landed closer to her face. She knew she had heard of Groudons before, but she couldn’t quite place it.

“She is another legendary Sasha!” Lexi said, answering the question that Sasha had directed at herself. Lexi could hard believe what was happening. First they meet an Arceus and now they meet a Groudon. Neither of them had seen it, but, since they both had been transformed, they had also likely been near a Jirachi. Weren’t legendary Pokémon supposed to be rare?

“Really? Another one?” Sasha exclaimed, her eyes filled with excitement; it wasn’t every day that she ran into a legendary Pokémon. This was only her second, at least the second that she could recall meeting. Sliding her boots off, Sasha stuck her feet into the sand. “That does feel kind of comfy and warm,” she remarked with a smile. Her feet were all toasty. “Are you sure?” Sasha asked, “Lexi eats a lot, there is a ton of berries in there and like, um, I don’t know..... 25 sandwiches? There is also a couple liters of juice and water….”

Lexi eyed widening, she exclaimed, “I eat a lot? Most of those are for you! And it is only 20 sandwiches. The rest are just rolls!” She did have quite the appetite, but Sasha certainly ate more than she did. Shaking off Sasha’s comment, she added, “Well, I’m glad it just tickled and…um.. well, we are Pokémon, but we found this star. Well, at least I did, I think Sasha did as well, but she can’t really remember. The star, it changed us into this…. Well, actually, it changed us into more of a child like form, but we both grew. It was quite sudden actually.” Explaining it all, she couldn’t help but think it sounded a bit silly.

Seeing Lexi going on and on about their transformations, Sasha stepped closer to the face of the Groudon. Now was her chance. She would taste a Groudon. She moved in to lick!

Roswitha mused almost sadly. She shook her head and looked back to the two, not wanting to bother them with her random bouts of sad philosophy.

She chuckled a bit, the picnic shaking ever so slightly this time as she did so.

she mused, but her thoughtfulness became interrupted when Sasha's Lick connected with her face. She just stared at the girl a bit before laughing. she said with a pointy smile before taking a good look at her now that she was this close. She looked like a...oh what was the thing called...Unova wasn't her most traveled region, though she did spend some time in the desert there. Oh right, a Simipour, one of the monkey trio. It was the more armored bits that she found confusing.

PostPosted: Sun Mar 25, 2012 1:10 am

Lexi didn’t need to be able to sense emotions to tell that there was some sadness behind the Groudon’s words. “Why don’t you like that word?” Lexi inquired. She was genuinely interested in what the other Pokémon might have to say and, if there was something she could do to help, she would like to.

Sasha, on the other hand, was much more taken in by her sand comment. Sand was edible? Food is all around? Without thinking that this might be a good unsuitable for all but a Groudon, Sasha scooped up a handful of sand and dug in. She chewed for a moment, a look of disgust on her face. Closing her eyes tight, she spit it out. “No, that doesn’t taste good; that doesn’t taste good at all.”

Before Lexi could comment on the stars, she was silenced by Sasha’s lick. She had given up on trying to get the other girl to stop, but that didn’t mean she approved. “You taste better then the sand,” Sasha stated with a shrug, “and um, Ground Type? You are Ground type, right!” Lexi just shook her head at that; of course a Groudon was Ground! She was almost expecting the other girl to guess fire, though.

“Well, actually,” Lexi began, “Sasha was planning on swimming and I had been planning on lying about and relaxing, underneath the Parasol, of course. I am part ghost now! I can’t get too much sun. I might swim in a bit though…”

Roswitha sighed a bit.

She chuckled a bit at Sasha in her attempt to eat the sand. she explained.
she mused before chuckling. She then looked at Lexi again.
PostPosted: Fri Jun 01, 2012 7:01 pm

“Well,” Lexi replied, thinking out loud, “Pokémon are Pokémon. Legendary Pokémon are just rarer and more powerful. But, if you want to be treated like a regular Pokémon, then you are in the right place. Sasha licks everyone! She has even licked an Arceus. I still can’t believe she did that… Though I have a hard time believing that she licks anyone…. It’s so weird!”

“Hey! Just because you can’t determine a Pokémon’s type by taste doesn’t mean it’s weird.”

“It is, and you can’t. You thought that Arceus was a rock type, if I remember
correctly,” Lexi stated with a nod of her head.

“Well, he was an Arceus, he could have turned into a rock type, he just happened to be flying type right then… Anyways, he tasted dry.”

Giggling, Lexi added, “Everyone is dry compared to you!”

Sasha couldn’t help but laugh at that. They didn’t know exactly what she was, but they were both pretty sure she was at least part water type.

“I don’t really sink in anything,” Lexi giggled, as she levitated, ‘not even the sand. And well, as for um, what I am and wasn’t before, well, um, I don’t really know what happened.” Talking about it flustered her slightly, she had grown use to it and was coming to accept her ghostly half, but it still baffled her as to how it could have happened. “It all started, a while back, before I found the star, I was a normal Ralts. Then I found it and I looked like a cross between a Ralts and a human child. And then, well, I grew into what I look like now. I seem to be part Kirlia and well, I think part Mismagius… It fits with my abilities, and the three gems on my chest…. But still, I have no idea how it happened.”

Roswitha mused with a chuckle. These young ones were quite nice company and she found herself enjoying the chats they were having.

she said, thinking. She looked off, thinking before looking at Sasha again.

she asked the odd hybrid.
PostPosted: Sun Jun 03, 2012 10:33 pm

“Well thank you!” Sasha replied with a wide smile. She greatly appreciated the compliment of her unusual ability, even if Lexi doubted it.

“That’s the only thing I can think of,” Lexi replied with a shrug, “still, it seems weird and, well, it is hard to imagine a Ralts and a Mismagius in the same family, even if they are technically able to….” She couldn’t help but wonder who her ancestors were and how such a thing could come to pass. The whole thing made the teen shudder.

“Well, um,” Sasha started, for once almost at a loss for words, “I might be I guess? I don’t really know what I am…. I have no memories before my change…. I don’t know what I was or am… Probably part Water Type? Not really sure, other then that.”

The sand rumbled a bit, and slowly a massive Groudon hand emerged from the sandy depths. Roswitha wiggled her claws slightly, to gain feeling back in them to use them properly without risk of impaling her guests. While very slight, when this happened, the sun shone done just a bit brighter as well.

she started. she said with a nod before poking Sasha's tail very lightly.

she mused.
PostPosted: Mon Jun 04, 2012 3:02 am

Sasha was quite oblivious to the change in brightness, but Lexi, she noticed. “Wow, I knew Groudon could change the weather, but to see such a change by just moving your hand.. That is incredible!”

“Huh, what are you talking about, it’s still sunny? The weather didn’t change,” Sasha questioned, quite obviously confused.

Shaking her head slightly at Sasha, Lexi turned to the Groudon and replied, “Well, I guess, it still seems weird…” Despite the fact that her closest friend was a Ghost Type, she still couldn’t imagine getting close to one; they freaked her out.

“Really?” Sasha exclaimed, her eyes widening, “A Simipour? My tail looks like a Simipours? I could be part Simipour?!” She had never even heard of such a Pokémon before, but she was excited! She might actually learn part of her heritage!
