Ever since the last mission that Sasha had taken part in, she'd been a little worried about Candace - especially after the slapping that had taken place. Violence was never a pretty thing, and Sasha kept seeing those slaps over and over again in her mind. Not only that, but being reprimanded in front of a whole group of people couldn't have been very fun, either.
<At last, my sweet. This one we are going to visit, she is my favorite.>
Candace is really nice, Nona. Just... just behave yourself, pleeeease. Remember what we've talked about, okay? Please?
<For my Sasha, Nona will try.>
Thanks, Nona. I know you can do it.
After doing a little research and asking about a hundred different people where she could find Candace, Sasha finally made it to the other woman's room. She promptly lifted a delicate hand and rapped gently three times before clasping her hands behind her back. Sasha abruptly doubted the politeness of coming empty-handed. She hadn't brought anything with her... and she hadn't even asked if it was okay to stop by.
Worrying her lower lip between her teeth, Sasha started hoping really hard that Candace was out doing whatever it was that awesome and outgoing people did.

Unfortunately for Sasha Candace was indeed in her own room. She had been studying, needing to focus on things not fighting. Do all the divisions, make Aria proud. Perhaps she should suck it up and go see Caelius? She wanted nothing to do with Caelius if she could help it. But thankfully there came a knock at her door to draw her away from her studying. No one on the other side said anything, leaving her quite curious who was visiting her. "Coming!" Candace called out, closing the book she'd been reading and walking across the room to open the door.
...Well now, what did we have here? She looked surprised to say the least, not expecting Little Miss I'm So Cute I'm Going To Draw Your Man's Attention Away From You Because I'm An Adorable Little Slutty Snake Who Was Made To Make You Unhappy Because-- CANDACE! Atropos snapped to change her train of thought. Candace winced and rubbed her head. Sorry!
She quickly smiled again and held the door frame with one hand, leaning closer to Sasha. "Hey there, rose bud. What's up~?" How can I occupy you today and forever?

Sasha had taken three steps away from the door when Candace called out. So she was a coward when it came to this kind of thing, there was nothing wrong with that, right? Hermit-like tendencies were not such a bad thing to hold on to. You didn't have to be super outgoing to kick major bottom, did you?
When Candace did call out, Sasha muttered a soft, "Darn," before moving back towards the door.
Nona purred and Sasha tried so hard not to stare at Candace's breasts.
<They are magnificent, are they not?>
Immediate pink-cheek-syndrome. Let the wringing of hands commence.
"I.. I was just checking on you. You know, I was um.. worried. About you. After the last mission. I don't know. If you're busy I can come back later or something? I hate to be a bother."

Eh? Why was she blushing like that? And the hand wringing...what a shy girl she was. She really needed to keep an eye on her. But you know what they say, keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Candace tilted her head to one side and just watched her, chuckling softly at her words. She really was a sweet little thing..
"That's sweet of you, rose bud. Worried about someone whose first impression on you is a jealous b***h who's too protective of her ex." She was grinning as she shook her head, stepping away from the door and gesturing for Sasha to follow. "Wanna come in? We can hang out and stuff. I'll make up for stressing you out. How did you know my room, anyway? Ooooh is little miss rose bud a secret stalker~?" She was teasing.
Mostly.
It was with affection!
...Sort of.

Sasha inhaled deeply. She was going to have to get better at tuning Nona out or else it was going to be impossible to have any kind of friendly relationship with anyone who even kind of had nice physical attributes. And to be honest, Sasha didn't even think of that kind of thing when she looked at people.
Nona did, however, and the weapon had no qualms about blatantly cooing and twittering in the deepest recesses of Sasha's mind. At least she wasn't screaming and screeching about how she needed release. That had been a very, very frustrating moment for both of them.
"I-I asked for directions," the trainee stammered, shuffling slowly into Candace's dorm. Wrinkles creased her brow as she mulled over what Candace had said.
"Y-your ex? You mean husband?" Sasha was obviously confused.
In more ways than anyone could even imagine.

"Husband? Oh, no no." Candace laughed, shaking her head and smiling. She'd be worse off if she had been married to him and done it, she was sure. "Boyfriend." She shrugged as if it was no big thing, but it was a big deal. It was a huge deal. She wanted Sasha away from him...she was a sweet girl. Too sweet.
"Make yourself at home. If I could I'd offer you a drink or something but I don't have any of those things to offer here." She sighed, putting away the book and sitting down at the edge of her bed. "I apologize if I made you uncomfortable...I promise I'm not ever like that."

"Oh. Boyfriend." When Candace shrugged like it wasn't a big deal, Sasha nodded. She hadn't yet put two and two together - that would probably take some time. Or maybe she'd never get it, at least not until someone actually told her instead of simply alluding to it.
"Oh, it's fine," Sasha peered around the room before taking a seat on the nearest chair. "I'm not really thirsty. Or hungry." She tilted her head to the side when Candace spoke of making Sasha feel uncomfortable.
"Ohh, no, no. You.. you didn't make me uncomfortable. Not at all, I just.. you know. The slapping. It was kind of. Ah.. unexpected?" Sasha looked confused. "I'm not even entirely sure what happened. I just.. You know. Jerry, and the water. Clerise.. she said something that upset you. Sometimes I guess you just.. I don't know. It was so noisy. So noisy. Up here." Sasha gestured at her temple.
"Nona gets pretty... loud. And uh. She was really um. Excited."
That being said, Sasha folded her hands in her lap and just... stared at Candace.

<She has such nice skin, does she not?>
She really does. I wonder if she uses anything special.
<It looks so... soft.>
I know, right? Like. Sometimes I get oily around my nose but it doesn't look like she even has that problem.
<Touch her.>
What?! Nona, you promised!
<Just.. just a small touch.>

"Yeah..it's still strange to not be dating him anymore. I don't like it one bit." She laughed. So stay the ******** away from him. Candace stayed pleasant despite her jealous thoughts. She discreetly looked the girl up and down, checking out every little detail that she could see; shy, timid, quiet, beautiful long hair, a pretty face and from what she could see a cute little body. She was dangerous and either didn't realize it or was just very good at acting innocent. Something told her Sasha just didn't realize how pretty she was.
As Sasha brought up the slapping Candace groaned. "I regret doing that. I'm usually able to keep my temper when it counts..." Sighing, Candace played with Atropos' rings with a little frown. "She called Jerry something I know he isn't, but it's a touchy subject for him. I just...couldn't help but feel protective of him." Damnit. She didn't mean to be saying this much. Sasha didn't need to know. Her complaint about her head being noisy did win her a laugh and a nod in agreement, leaning back in her hands and looking up at the ceiling. "Yeah, you get used to it..." wait. Excited? She raised a brow and looked Sasha's way.
"Excited? Excited how?" Candace asked with a bit of a purr, far too amused by this confession.

Slowly, sloooowly, the little wheels in Sasha's mind clicked into place. Okay, maybe it had dawned on her a little faster than expected.
Candace and Jerry? The expression on her face softened slightly as she thought about that. Of course it made sense NOW. Candace was everything that Sasha aspired to be. Confident, capable, outgoing. It only made sense that Jerry would be interested in someone as awesome as Candace. Perfect sense.
Sasha nodded. "I hope I get used to it. And like. Jerry is a nice guy. Maybe you guys will uh. You know. Fix things." She brightened. "Maybe I can help!"
Stalling? Yes, but she didn't really want to talk about how Nona was lazily commenting on all of Candace's physical attributes. "I'm um. I hope that I get used to it. It's uh. It's not easy." Sasha's cheeks grew a little pinker.
"And.. excited. Excited excited. Like um. Like. You know." Sasha fidgeted nervously in her seat. Please don't make her say it. Pleeeease.

Jerry is a nice guy. Candace flinched at that. Sasha thought Jerry was a nice guy. She was totally going to steal him away from her she should be happy for him Sasha was right for him she was sweet and kind and pretty and no! ********! No! She wanted him! He was hers! She needed a chance. Just a chance. Come on. Please.
...They..could fix things? She'd help? Candace looked surprised now, having not expected that offer at all. Why was this girl offering to help her after having just said she'd was a jealous b***h? After her first impression was one of discomfort from being so close and then slapping someone during a mission? But..maybe this would work? Yeah! She could use this girl! She smiled. "You think so? How? Honestly I just want him to give me one more chance to make things right." She laughed, shaking her head a little. She wouldn't go into detail, not with this girl. If she knew what Candace had done to break them apart then she didn't see Sasha helping her anymore. Yeah, no. She needed to do anything she could. She had to try.
But why? You were happier with H more often than with Jerry. You even gave H so many reasons you wanted him over Jerry. Candace frowned again, rubbing her rings with her thumbs and looking away. Because as nice as it is sleeping with H, I don't see him committing himself to just one person. I liked having that...security... Atropos scoffed. Is that all? You can get that with anyone, you know. Jerry isn't the only man on this island who will love you. I hear you're popular. Candace couldn't think of an answer for that. Instead she chose to ignore Atropos and pretend she wasn't making very..valid points.
Candace watched Sasha's face, a brow raised. She was blushing..was she embarrassed? "Excited excited..?" There was a pause before it seemed to dawn on her. She laughed. "Oh my god you poor thing! Is she picky? I'm sorry, I'm just curious. Does she have a type?"

Really? Was she really being asked for advice? By Candace?! Sasha's eyes widened and a big, ridiculously pleased smile cemented itself on her face. Sasha really didn't have a clue as to what to say. She'd never even kissed a boy let alone dated one - honestly, she was probably the worst person to get advice from but it wasn't going to stop Sasha from giving it.
"You just have to.. um. You know, romance him. Like, write him a love note. Paint him a picture, or write him a poem. When my papa was feeling down, I would play my flute for him, or sing him a little song." Her forehead wrinkled and she suddenly looked very serious.
"Everyone has their faults. It doesn't mean that they're not worth loving, you know?" Her papa had been a fall-down drunk until the end of his days, but it didn't mean that she'd ever - for one instant - stopped loving him. "Maybe Jerry was just having a bad day or something. Like when he punched Rep in the face." Sasha's face squished up as she recalled that. "Maybe you just have to remind him that he can have a good day too?"
Man, she was pretty good at this advice-giving thing.
When Candace laughed about the whole excited thing, Sasha gave the other woman a rather... pained look.
"She likes you. A lot. And Clerise. Robert. The doctor - she likes his ..." Sasha fell silent for a moment as if there was some sort of internal dialogue going on, "mysterious ways. Are these types? I don't know. She doesn't seem to be terribly picky. And she has promised to try and ..you know. Tone it down." Sasha shook her head, pursed her lips. "Sometimes she's so distracting. "

Ha. Romance him with a love note or art. Candace tried to keep the bitterness out of her smile as she listened to Sasha give her advice. Sing him a little song...normally that could probably work but last time she'd offered he'd asked her to leave. Candace closed her eyes and shook her head, still smiling. "I don't sing. Ever." She said gently, a small lie that Sasha didn't need to have confirmed. She had only ever sung for Jerry, and even then only when she felt he needed cheering up. At the suggestion of Jerry having had a bad day she couldn't help but chuckle, raising her hands to rub her face. "I'd love to do that, but it's my fault he was having a bad day to begin with." She wanted to get off this topic now, please. It was starting to hurt all over again. Her life didn't center around Jerry. Her life didn't center around her love life. She had to think about something else. She had to.
Candace raised a brow as Sasha gave a list of people her weapon liked. "..So basically she likes good looks and sex appeal? Confidence?" She smiled again, a genuinely amused smile. "The doctor is certainly...something. I don't blame your weapon~. But you should be careful of him, okay? You're very pretty, and terribly innocent. Were I not a better person than that I'd be trying to seduce you right now or something." She stood and stretched her arms over her head a moment before swinging them back down and slipping her hands into her pockets. "You're sweet, Sasha. Don't ever change~." She hummed a bit and looked around the room, stopping at the tiny glass unicorn sitting on her desk. Candace fell quiet as she just stared at it, frowning.
"Poetry isn't really my style. I like having it recited to me, but writing it...ha. Nooo no. I'm not that artsy. I offered to sing for him, but he turned me away...it was a..rough breakup. Entirely my fault, too." She shrugged, looking away from the unicorn and instead out her window. "Hmmm..wanna get out of here? Go do something?"

The entire time that Candace spoke, Sasha just kind of tuned her out.
Instead, she was busy thinking about how awesome Candace was.
So pretty. <Quite beautiful.>
Talented. <Such a body.>
Nice! <Those lips.>
Helpful. <Those legs.>
Protective of her friends. <A wildcat, for certain.>
Sasha did perk up a bit when Candace called her sweet, a bright smile turning her lips upward. "You give me someone to look up to, Candace," she said breathily, almost a whisper. Kind of weird, but she was being earnest. She blinked about a billion times before she realized what she'd just said, and a blush tinged her cheeks.
"If you want to go somewhere. Um. We can. I uhh. Where?"

Candace didn't seem to notice Sasha wasn't paying any attention to what she was saying. When it came to Jerry she tended to fall into her own little world; he was a touchy subject for her still. Even if she had begun to notice she would have been very successfully distracted from it by Sasha's barely spoken words. She blinked, just staring at Sasha after she gave her little ********, Candace ruffled her own hair and looked away, her cheeks flushed and a grin on her face. "Aw, you're sweet. Come here." She gestured for Sasha to get up and come closer while walking up to her anyway, tipping her head toward her with a gentle touch of her fingers underneath Sasha's chin so she could leave a light kiss against her cheek. "I'm flattered, really. And we could go for a walk, do our duties together. I promised Robert I'd take up his load of duties for a little while in exchange for some information so I should get on that soon. You're a Life trainee so you should get to know the labs...I'm there a lot.."
But the only thing you work there is the doctor's-- Candace cleared her throat. "It's up to you~!" Shut up, Atropos. Now is not the time.

The pink blush on Sasha's face turned a horrid shade of red when Candace leaned forward and pressed a kiss against her cheek. Today was the best day ever. Honestly, Sasha almost felt like... well, like Candace was the best thing ever.
<She is.>
Gosh. She really is. Gosh.
<Oh, this one. Nona likes her.>
Sasha does too. She blinked a few times, a slight crease in between her eyebrows the only sign of the frown she was mentally directing towards Nona.
<Mmhmm.> Nona's purring chuckle rumbled around in Sasha's mind. Sasha cleared her throat, still blushing. Forever blushing.
"Robert is so nice. Like. He is so nice. Have you ever had a doughnut? He brought me doughnuts. They are so good." She beamed at Candace, staring at her for a long, probably awkward moment.
"Lets do our duties together. I still don't know much anything. Maybe you could... show me. Doesn't that sound so great?"
It sounded so great to Sasha.
