By this, I mean the categories like Roman Catholic, Baptist, Protestant, etc. I was kinda wondering which "label" I would best be placed in, because I honestly don't know and I'm not quite informed enough in the world of Christianity to be able to label myself accurately.

I was baptized in a Catholic church, but currently attend teen youth groups in an evangelical/Protestant church. My work and school schedules leave me unable to attend other church sermons or masses. I don't pray as regularly as I should. I pray guaranteed twice a week at my youth group meetings, and during emotional times in my life.

I believe that God loves everyone, and that everything happens for a reason. I love and support homosexuals with every fibre of my being. I don't validate God any more than any other deities of other religions. I'm pro-choice. I validate and understand science and evolution, but am a little skeptical about the Big Bang Theory (but I do love the TV show).

So, um...I think that covers everything. What do you think? Do I fall into a certain "category" of Christianity? Or can I just say I'm super liberal about it?

They are the denominations, that Christianity has broken into after the death of Christ. Each one holds something else in higher context than the others. I know Catholic's believe in saints, Virgin Mary. Beyond that much I am not to familiar with.

Baptist's believe in free will. This is why you can't go to two different Baptist churches and expect the same thing.

Protestant's believe in the power of baptism, (or at least the one I go to does.)

Gnostic believe that the snake in the story of the garden of eden. Was really God, or something.... Rob can explain that one better

I never... really... I don't know what I am. A Christian? That is good enough.

Chances are if you don't know, your non-denomination. Most Christians I meet belong to this group, or Baptists.

True Non-denominations don't hold anything above anything else, everything is of God's and should be looked at in the same light. Or at least that is my understanding... Take it or flush it down to the sewers

You need to ask yourself what you believe. I would say you should check out Belief-O-Matic, but I question the validity of the results. Below each question has a priority from High, Medium, to Low. If you want to try it, go ahead.

Most of the labels in Christianity has to do with what doctrines one holds to in Christianity. Assuming you hold to other teachings of the Catholic Church such as the Trinity, the Nicene Creed, etc... you sound like either a liberal/progressive Catholic or an Episcopal. Or you could be a liberal/progressive Christian. Without knowing Christological stance or other doctrines I don't know what branch of Christianity you'd categorize in. Though I wouldn't stress too much over it. If you're in a Church or setting you are comfortable and it's helping you grow and develop into a more Christ-like individual, you're probably where you need to be at.

Figured I'd bring this up if you're interested http://www.catholicsforchoice.org/

I'm non-denominational Christian. What I've been taught is to believe in Christ, read the bible and interpret what it says to the best of your own ability.

According to that site, I am either a Buddhist or a Humanist depending upon just a few answers that I put in. I also get Universalist. As if I would throw my weight in with that lot.
