[1v1] How about a spar? (Tori and Vanessa)

Tori was still frustrated with herself that she failed so much on the last mission that she had a hard time sleeping and decided after waking back up so many times in the night to just get up and hit the training grounds to work out her frustrations with herself. Walking out of her room it was really early in the morning so she quietly exited the dooms as she didn't want to wake the others just because she couldn't sleep.

Taking a brake as she had been here for a few hours working out and hitting the practice dummies.

That is true, but who. She replied and thought of who could be good and then she had thought that Vanessa was a good choice since she hadn't seen her for a while and it was good to get to know the other Lifer too. Taking out her phone to text Vanessa as it wasn't too early in the morning around 10am and hope she wasn't waking her up.

Hi, Vanessa. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind a spar with me? I'm already out on the training grounds if you want to but you don't have to if you don't want to.

She text and hoped that she would come as it would be lot of fun.

When Vanessa recieved the text from Tori around ten in the morning, she was, in fact already up and had been for several hours. In the middle of a set of push-ups, as the Lifer was still trying to strengthen her arms again from that horseman incident, Vanessa looked over to her desk, on which her phone was recieving a text. "What could it be this time?" She mused aloud, standing and stretching as she moved to pick up the device. An eyebrow lifted when she saw that the text wasn't from any superiors, but from a fellow Lifer girl she'd met a few times. A slight smile flickered across her face as she read the contents, and the trainee was quickly punching back in a small response.

Sure, I'll be there soon.

The redhead pulled on her boots and quickly left her room. Soon after, she emerged into training grounds. She raised a hand in a wave and moved to where she spotted Tori. "Are you ready to spar?" She asked as soon as the other girl was in speaking distance. Volt's pendant winked out of existance and reformed into the large Tesla Cannon, which Vanessa slung over her shoulder. She wasn't in an attacking stance yet, having simply placed Volt there as it was the easiest way to hold the summoned cannon.

While waiting for a reply back from Vanessa, Tori was doing some stretches to keep limper from her early morning work out. Hearing that she had gotten a text and went over to see that it was indeed from Vanessa and she was coming to spar and the both weapon and hunter were excited.

Not too long of a wait when she spotted Vanessa coming and she gave her own wave back to the Lifer. "I'm total ready!" she replied back and watched Vanessa summon her partner and Aklin grew even more excited when he saw that the weapon was a long range one. Tori did the same and summoned Aklin grabbing the hilt in one hand and the chain in the other. Seeing that Vanessa didn't take a attacking stance but she took a slightly defencive stance just to be on the safe side as she tightened her grip on the sword handle in anticipation of what could happen.

Vanessa watched as her opponent summoned her weapon. So it was a sword... "Be prepared in case I need to stab with you." She mentally said to her own weapon, alerting him that his least favorite type of fighting could occur. She gave a nod to the other Lifer, stepping back. "Let's get this show on the road, then."

Volt gave out a happy crackling noise, his electricity chamber sparking as Vanessa slipped into a firing stance. One arm reached up around to the top, gripping the support bar spanning Volt's form to stabilize the the weapon's large bulk. Calmly, the Lifer took aim, targeting the center of the other girl. Volt sparked excitedly in her mind, ready to fire. She refirmed her stance slightly more, and then pulled the trigger.

The lightning bolt roared from Volt's barrel, arcing across the field toward the other trainee. Vanessa actually had to force her feet a little harder into the ground from the power of Volt's blast. Both weapon and hunter weren't afraid to show their strength, not even in the first attack.

You know, maybe this was why people didn't usually ask her to spar.

Tori gave a little smile as she and her weapon were excited for this as they hadn't fought or spared with anyone that had a long range weapon. "Sound good by me!" she called back nodding too. Aklin made happy noises as he waited to see what would happen and watched the other Lifer and partner carefully.

Hearing Vanessa charge up her weapon just make Aklin more excited as the both of the were just unsure of how the attack was going to feel. Just a few second before being hit by the lighting arching in her direction she brought up her sword in a defensive stance and it was Aklin that was murring in delight at the strong attack and Tori just smiled a little bit wider as she was total going to feel that one in the morning.

“That sure did pack a good punch!” Tori called out excitedly as she came out of her defensive stance and charged right up to Vanessa to answer with an attack of her own and swiped her sword at the other Lifer and the chain clanked in her other hand with the attack.
