 The time of day was mid afternoon, and the trees were silently siting near his location. He sat near the edge of the pridelands border with his paws crossed over one another on the ground. His mind was deep in thought as he sat there. How long had it been since he had had is heart broken he wondered as he walked. Was it months or even years ago, his mind couldn't remember but his heart definitely could. He fell for her and ever since then he had closed his heart off to females. "females," he whispered under his breathe with a deep distaste in his mouth.Finished Word count: 1,361

Hasha huffed and puffed with his paws heavy as ever. The lands had gotten harder and harder to wander lately. The heat probably was a huge factor in that. The day in general was just not great standards at least with this hood on. Though that wasn't the problem, right now his problem was a female. For she was different and he believed he may have been captured by something. Since no matter what h e did he could not stop thinking about her.
"Her...only her...." he whispered into the wind.

Seizken quietly turned around as he heard the word her. Just at the sound he growled, her her her. The her in his life just left. He was deeply wounded beyond believe and for that he couldn't help but think females were all like that. All females probably just do that, make you fall in love and then leave you flat on your face. That had to have been it.
Luckily he had been lucky he quickly learned his lesson and locked his heart. No female would ever capture it again or at least he thought that.
"I hope your she is better than mine was," he yelled back at the wind. Not really knowing that he was actually answering someone else not to far away from his own being.

Hasha stopped and listened to the voice that had answered his whisper in the wind. he paused for a moment listened to the direction it came from and then he walked towards it. It only took a few minutes before he noticed a white lion with black stripes. He was so white it almost surprised him. Especially since he himself was so full of color.
"Well she is definitely very interesting," he said with a chuckle as he walked up beside the lion. "She captured my heart I can say that in the least. I feel happy unlike how I used to be when i was just a wander having to make my own happiness," he said as he continued, "Oh and my name is Hasha! You are?"
He had no idea why he was being so social though he was completely fine with it. As long as it lasted long enough to have some good company.

All the feelings had been taken out of him. So he didn't even bother reacting when the male lion came up upon him. Instead he just listened and nodded.
"I see well I know that feeling well, it's he feeling of love," he said with a sigh. Just saying that word reminded him of all he had lost.
"The moments of laying by their side at night, wanting to see the world with them, never wanting them to leave, always with them. Those are just a few of the small things that come along with that feeling," he spoke as if he was trying to give advice but in reality he just wanted to share his experience of it. He had never really talked it before now. Up until now he just bottled his hatred and hurt.
Though he was done right now, and what was the best way to get rid of something like that. His idea was to tell it to a complete stranger and then leave. It would work, he hoped.

Hasha listened and almost didn't believe his words. They seemed like a fairytale to him, especially the word love. Love was one emotion he never expected he would ever have. He had never had any himself though, he had never before really had this emotion surrounding him.
Though the more he listened to the lion speak the more he could feel his heart begin to race. Just thinking of getting to stay by her side made him light on fire inside. It was as if some unknown source was inhibiting his body. It moved at the speed of light and before he knew he was smiling.
"So this is love huh?" he said with a laugh, "I guess even I can catch it. Have you before?" His question was completely serious. So serious that he hadn't even noticed that the lion never gave him his name in return.

Seizken nodded and looked at him, "Yes it is and I have." The second he spoke those words he felt his heart ache. An Ache like a stabbing pain most would call unbearable. "Mine was long ago, but I felt exactly that. I felt the warm the heart can give off and the happiness one can feel. Its almost like a miracle," he said with a half grin.
"The times were like a fantasy, it was like I lived in a fairytale with my heart on wings. So free... though we spent all our days together until she left. I woke and she was gone. That was all there was to it, no goodbye no anything," he said his face changing from a half grin to a frown. The more he spoke the more pain you could see throughout his being. "Love is beautiful though when you have it, but once its gone it's gone forever," he whispered quietly as he stood to his feet.

Hasha listened once more and he slowly began to understand. The only thing he couldn't understand was why this lion was so hurt.
"I see well I am sorry for your loss," he said before gathering all his thoughts into one. "Though maybe she walked out because she wanted you to be able to find true love. She may have not been able to give you what you needed, and I know it may be hard to see but I think there is still someone out there searching for you. Someone who is searching for your heart when you have given up, and they may never find you if you give up that hope," he said with a burst of wisdom. He ad no idea where it came from though maybe it came from the belief of how he had nothing before, no one to cling to but himself. Though now he had her, almost like his other half.
"After all if I can find someone I'm sure there is someone out for a kind soul like yourself," with that he smiled heartily and hoped what he had just said made sense.

This stranger had said something he had never thought of before. Yet it all made sense, maybe she hurt him to help him in her own way. Though if that were the case he needed to begin that search. It was the only way he could show she had not done what she had in vain.
"Thank you my friend, you made me realize something and with that I bid you farewell," he said as he began to walk off. Though before he completely vanished he turned to the stranger and yelled, "My name - it's Seizken and I would love to run into you again sometime!"

"We will, I'm sure of it!" He yelled back as he laid down where he stood. One stranger in a short time period had shown him what he could not see before. While he wasn't completely convinced, he was definitely willing to find out if it were true, and he would do that with her by his side.
If this is what love feels like, he was determined to never let it go. No matter he would hold onto it for dear life or until he could hold no longer.
