It was another mundane morning at HQ. Outwardly things at Team Rocket seemed business as usual, but this really wasn't the case. Most everyone had been striving to continue their duties while making independent efforts to aid in the search for their missing teammates. Searching for signals, digging for leads, even using the web, their efforts hadn't turned up anything significant. It was looking bleak.

This bleakness finally lifted when the first breakthrough in the hunt occurred, entirely unexpectedly, where Faleen and Frost had been hard at work dismantling the stolen Galactic jet's engines. At approximately 8:30 in the morning the jet's radio systems received an emergency signal and flared to life. So far the jet's radio systems had been completely quiet. No doubt Team Galactic stopped using its frequencies once the vehicle was taken.

For roughly a minute, the jet received a transmission. The nature of the signal would suggest something disastrous had happened at Galactic HQ, momentarily scrambling their systems and sending out transmissions on disabled frequencies. Most of the message was scrambled, garbled with static, the sound of alarms and shouting.

The small blips that came through were:

"-ssive explosion in the rob-

"-ort side! We have to relocate! The plume of smoke will be spotted b-"

"-eard it was Sager. Nobody's see-"

"-et the power back on! We have to mo-"

After the minute of barely discernible shouting, the radio fell silent.

Noise.

Noise was different.

Frost appeared from under the engine, and a notepad appeared from his top pocket. As the garbled speech went on he scribbled in shorthand, a frown of concentration creasing his usually perfectly smooth features.

When the voices stopped the got to his feet, already reading over his notes again. "Well well," he murmured, "isn't that interesting?"

Faleen's job was finished here, but she had no intention of just leaving, instead she had chosen to remain with Frost and lend a hand with whatever he needed.

The blond Agent was crouched down by where Frost was working, keeping an eye on what he was doing, mostly out of curiosity and the deep love and desire to know more about Galactic tech.

It took a couple of seconds though when she realized that there was a strange noise coming from the jet's radio.
She become fully aware of it around the time frost did. and was on her feet and hurrying over to it as Frost was quick to grab his notepad.

"Interesting indeed..." Faleen looked across the room to where her data pad was sitting. "Porygon, contact the communications team, tell them to get to the hanger."
There was a soft flickers of the pads screen as her Porygon got to work.

Faleen looked over to Frost, stepping back over to him to see what he had managed to get from it, her brow furrowed.

Getting to his feet (and rolling the skateboard he had been lying on safely out of the way) Frost held the notepad where Faleen could see it too. He then realised that she might not be able to read shorthand - it was a rather archaic skill - and cleared his throat to read aloud. "-ssive explosion in the rob-. Well obviously that's massive explosion... do you supposed 'rob' was the start of 'robotics?'" He couldn't think of anything else off the top of his head that it could have been, but perhaps that was just because he was rather fixated on such things at the moment.

"-ort side - port side? - We have to relocated. The plume of smoke will be spotted b-. -eard it was Sager. Nobody's see-. -et the power back on. We have to mo-." All of this, naturally, was read in Frost's clipped and neutral tones. Something had gone wrong for Galactic. Very wrong. That was good for them, at least potentially. "Who do you suppose 'Sager' is? Or is it a 'what' not a 'who'?" the small blond said after a moment with a small frown, still studying the quickly scribbled shorthand phrases.

She was surprised at first when she realized she couldn't make heads of tales of what Frost's notebook had written on it, but quickly worked out that it was shorthand when he prompted to read it allowed to her. Nodding in agreement to the suggestion he made to finish some of the words.

"Sager." she repeated, trying to shuffle through her memory to see if that name rang a bell, but she couldn't recall anything.
In reply Faleen shook her head with a soft frown
"We'll have our systems and other Rockets run it through and see if anything comes up..."
She looked at Frost, her hazel eyes set, and serious though her heart was pounding in her chest.
"If it is Galactic, and I don't have doubt that it is, then either this is an SOS from one of their ships, or its from their base..."
She spoke absently, bouncing these conclusions off of Frost as if to help herself sort them out in her own mind, and get Frost's input if he felt she was wrong or mistaken about something.

The engineer glanced over to the radio. "If we're right and that explosion was something to do with robotics, or one of their robots, then its looking in favor for their base."
Her face flushed pink
" 'plume of smoke' ..." she added her eyes growing a little wider.
"We need to get severance, every TV our informants and infiltrators, Rockets on the field, everyone needs to be aware to look for any hint or news of a large source of smoke"
With that she was striding over to her tablet, snatching up a glove from next to it and working it onto her hand before she slid her fingers across the screen.

At the same time she grabbed up her Rocketdex and contacted the Elite's. Most prominently, Seth, who was back on base helping work with the Tech department.
"We have revived a radio broadcast from who we believe is the Galactics from their jet, A communications team has been called to look into the radio. We think this is important, please come to the hanger, Agent's Frost and Faleen are on sight."

Within moments Faleen had a reply from Seth.

"Understood, I'm on my way."

"Agreed, if I were to bet I would bet on their base." Perhaps that was just wishful thinking though. He wanted, needed to find it and recover Xander. Oh, and the rest of them. "We have no time to waste," he went on, "we can assume they will be swift with repairs. Anyone with a swift flying type should be out looking for this, once we create a suitable search pattern of course." He did not have a fast flying type. Well, he would just have to rectify that; he was quite sure that his service warranted a pokemon from the lab when he required it...

"Social media," Frost murmured after a moment, "people do share the most mundane aspects of their lives over the internet these days. Chances are good that if somebody spots a large plume of smoke they will post about it somewhere. As well as our own aerial search teams we need people searching online."

Frost was on the same page as her, she was relived, and impressed with the number of suggestions he offered that would definitely be helpful.
Faleen personally knew that there was at least one Rocket who had been taking tot he skies in hopes of finding any tiny hint of where their team is.

Another message went out as quickly as Faleen could word it.
"Agent Claire, if you are out, please be looking for sight of smoke and report any as soon as possible, If anyone else is out there with you please forward that message"

And then Frost's suggestion of the internet, Social Media. "That's a good idea."
"I'm certain Izaya'll be all over that." She replied absently as she seemed caught up in her thoughts.
She tapped about her tablet, sending her partner a message through their linked hardware.
He was a skilled informant, and she intended to use his skills to help the others search the web.
Getting him updated on what he needed to know to start his searching, and giving him the name "Sager" to see if he could come up with anything.

Once she was finished she turned to Frost. "Elite Seth is on his way."
When they got him informed, he would have a much more efficient way of getting the word out to the rest of the team about what they all needed to do.

It didn't take long for Seth to arrive. The tall man came through the doors of the robotics hangar as promised, now wearing his elite uniform once again. A little odd after having sported an executive one and then a business suit for the past couple of months.

Blue eyes immediately shot towards Faleen as he approached at a quick pace, his arms folded across his chest. "What's your report?" he demanded, glancing up at the jet before taking note of Frost as well. An agent he barely knew really.

Ah, and here was the elite. Frost acknowledged the tall man with a small nod but no more than that before launching into his own account of the situation, paying no mind to whether he had been addressed or not.

"The messages over the radio are as follows: '-ssive explosion in the rob-.' '-ort side. We have to relocate. The plume of smoke will be spotted b-.' '-eard it was Sager. Nobody's see-.' '-et the power back on. We have to mo-.' That was all we heard. Faleen and I agree that it is most likely the Galactic's base ship that has been damaged, and that their robotics department or one of their robots is somehow involved. As I have no doubt they will make their repairs swiftly we need to contact all operatives currently off base and alert them to the situation. Additionally I believe we should send out search teams on swift flying types, and carefully monitor social media for mentions of large plumes of smoke."

He thought that more or less covered it.

Oh.

Yes.

That.

"Sir."

Faleen stood up straight, taking a step forward to greet the Elite as he walked in and over and asked for a report.
She didn't answer though, Frost took the lead with this one and she stood by silently, as he read off the notes to Seth, and gave him the rundown on what they discussed.

"Some of the departments have been given the heads up, as well as some Rockets I knew could start right away on the search, but that's about it."
She finished.

She nodded to Frost, then looked back to Seth "Sir, your orders."
PostPosted: Sun Mar 04, 2012 11:51 am

Seth took this in silently, not so much as flinching as Frost put in the "sir" as an afterthought as he normally might have.

"We don't have much time. Even if we wait for the local media to do coverage, they might be gone by then." After all, they said themselves that they needed to relocate because of the plume of smoke.

"Faleen, see if you can trace the signal to its source. Agent Frost, fill in the communications department and tell them to watch the media. Also tell them to alert any field operatives you haven't yet."

It was about this time that the communications team that they had requested, arrived. Several Rockets filing in and ready to assist.

With that, Seth pulled out his Rocket Dex. "I'll contact the Boss."

The elite took a few steps away from the group and pressed a button that opened a link to the Boss himself. "Sir, I have a report regarding Team Galactic."

Frost gave a slight nod of acknowledgement. "Faleen has already summoned them, I shall inform them of the situation when they arrive...." Ah, and there they were. Nodding again to Faleen and Seth Frost walked quickly over to the small group and passed on the same message as he had to Seth, along with the elite's orders.

"Yes Sir." Faleen replied once given her task, glancing around at a couple of the grunts from the Robotics team she gestured them over, grabbing up her uniform's over shirt and slipping it back on as she hurried her way back over to the controls for the Galactic Jet.

Taking a few moments to get her tablet hooked up to it as well as a few other devices the other Robotic's rockets brought.
she hoped they could get a trace, but she wasn't sure how likely it would be.

She tried to focus on her task, staying with the moment, but she couldn't really deny that she was both anxious and excited.

The boss's voice came over Seth's radio, "My office."
