Molly felt ready today.
She had been practicing for quite a while ever since she official met Bix at the mall before Valentine’s, and learned that he loved Lord of the Rings. She also wanted to return the favor of the present he bought her. She just didn’t want to buy something…she wouldn’t know what to get him anyways…and who knew if he’d have it or not! So she decided on another gift idea…
The Mist trainee hummed to herself as she made her way down the hall, carrying her fiddle within its case. Quite a few times she happened to pass the door that hopefully belonged to the albino hunter, since it had his name on it and all…and oh! It was open! Molly stood off to the side, and cautiously poked her head in, looking around.
“Knock, knock!” She called out cheerfully. “Is anyone there?”

Bix was laying on his back on his bed with his head and shoulders dangling lifelessly off the edges. Besides the prone and pathetic form of the hunter, his room was impeccably neat. His books were in size order, stacked, his shelves the same. All his posters were at right angles and his bed was straight and made. Lord of the Rings action figures lined the top shelf of his desk and on his full bookshelf there were rows and rows of comics.
When the knock came Bix merely tilted his head. "Yeeaaaah.." he moaned. He didn't exactly look close before he responded. If he knew it was Molly he wouldn't have sounded so miserable.

Woah…Molly’s room didn’t even have that much stuff in it, and yet Bix’s room looked way neater. Amazing. Molly’s mouth hung open for a moment as she took in the room. It had quite the character! She liked it a lot.
What she didn’t like though, was the tone poor Bix had. He sounded like…like he was dying. Okay, maybe not that bad, but still, he didn’t sound good. Cue Molly fretting. Her brows knitted in concern. “What’s wrong, Bix? Are you alright? Did you get sick from the mission to the North Pole? Do you need me to get you something?” Still though, she lingered in the door way. Door open or not, she just didn’t want to march right on it.

"Oh hey Molly." He smiled, trying not to look like a drag, and rolled himself over and up into a sitting position. "I'm fine. Just uhh.. chillin." He was clearly lying but not wanting to be a whiney baby to a girl he'd just met.
"How are you? Whats up?"

Molly slowly nodded her head. Even as dense as she was, she didn’t believe it…but she wasn’t one to pry, either…well…too much.
“A-are you sure? If you want to talk about it, I’m all ears…but uh, if you don’t, that’s okay!” She waved her hand a bit before offering him a small smile. “I am doing alright, thank you for asking! I uh…I have a return gift for you…you know…for the comic! Do you have a minute?”

"Aaaaeeehhh." He made a disgusted noise. "Just did horribly embarrassing on Allan-taichou's mission and he's my division lead and.." He blew the bangs out of his eyes. "Stupid stuff."
When she talked about a return gift he waved his hands, "No it's not necessary. I like sharing comic love." He brightened a little though, just that she'd thought of it was nice. Suddenly his brain processed a couple thoughts at once. 'She's cute.' 'How old is she?' and 'Don't oggle her or act stupid or be yourself at all'. You know, typical guy thoughts.

“Oooh.” Molly made a sympathizing sound. She’d been in the back…observing…yeah…that’s it exactly. “It’s okay, Bix!” Molly tried to encourage. “It just means you need keep at it! It’s the effort that is important. You’ve only done badly when you’ve given up.” Eternal optimist, that one.
Lots of hand waving action, as Molly waved her hand back. “No, no, I insist! I really wanted to try and do something nice for you in return!” She lifted her fiddle case and pointed at it. “Uh…may I come in?”

"You are really positive." He said it as if he was amazed and couldn't help but crack a smile for her. He didn't have many positive people around anymore. Even his bestie Before was starting to pick up the taint that seemed to mark someone as a true hunter. "Oh? Well that's cool then." Bix eyed the case. She played? What could she possibly play for him. The idea was exciting actually. He hadn't heard much music since he'd come to the island. "Violin?"

Molly grinned a bit sheepishly at his observation, rubbing the back of her head. “ Oh…yeah, I’m told that a lot!” She paused. “… I just think…it’s always nice to hear good words, since more often than not they can be few and far in between…that’s just me though!” The mist trainee nodded her head vigorously at his question, and stepped into his room a bit, setting the case down and undoing the snaps before opening it up. It revealed a wooden dark red violent with a flower design along the neck. Molly took it out of its case carefully, along with the bow, and tucked it under her chin, getting into a playing position as she beamed at Bix. “ May I? I hope you’ll enjoy it!” She was rather excited herself.

At the last second Bix got up, hurriedly clearing things from her way. He moved his desk chair and put her case on it and he manuevered her in a bit more and closed the door to only a crack.
"Nice violin. Really neat.. the design." He nodded and sat himself on the edge of the bed. "Sor.. for futzing. I am ready now."
He couldn't wait actually!

Molly blinked as Bix suddenly sprung up and started to clean some things, watching as he set her violin case on his chair as well. “ O-oh, thank you!” She replied, and blinked once more as she was suddenly maneuvered as well, further into his room. She couldn’t help but giggle. Okay, that was pretty cute to her. “ Thank you!” She replied once more as he complimented her instrument, and gave a nod. “ That’s alright!” She took a small breath, and readied her violin, making sure her fingers were in the right position before she readied her bow as well. After a moment, Molly started to play a tune that hopefully sounded very familiar.

Bix was smiling, quiet and respectful as if he were at some sort of concert. His face seemed to shift as he played. His eyes widened and his mouth gaped a bit.  If he were any less of a man he'd be crying. BUT HE WAS A MAN. His lip did tremble a bit though and he seemed to be completely rapt.

Molly had been a bit nervous at first, but it seemed like all that practicing had paid off! She was able to play the song without a hitch, and once she was finished with a sweep of the bow across the strings, the young woman straightened and looked at Bix. “ Ta daaa—uh….a-are you alright, Bix?” His lip was trembling…did she do bad?

"That was.." Bix wiped at his eyes, "BEAUTIFUL!" The sulky hunter now couldn't help but snatch the other hunter up into a hug. He even gave her a kiss on the cheek because impulsively smooching her on the mouth was a little presumptuous. "That was the best gift.. ever."

Oh, yay! He liked i— Oh my. Molly looked rather surprised as she was suddenly snatched up into a hug by the Sun hunter, and then not only that, but had a kiss planted on her cheek. She couldn’t help but blush as her cheek tingled as well. Aww…that was…this was… so nice. As best as she could with her fiddle and bow still in hand, Molly wrapped her arms around Bix in return, and smiled widely now. “ I’m really glad you liked it!” Well, she just felt all kinds of special now. “ Oh, and um…if the offer is still up, I would love to borrow your books!”
