Akela' Tsagi stirred in his sleep. It was nothing out of the ordinary for the dark blue-eyed cub but the young lion’s current dream made it all the more interesting. In his mind, Tsagi was running as if his life depended on it, trying his best to win a race against one of his sisters. And back in reality, the cub’s little legs were running as well which was rather comical as the cub was lying on his side but not so amusing if one were to take into account the fact that Tsagi was throwing kicks at anyone who was close enough to feel them .
“I’ll get you…” the cub mumbled in his sleep, growling playfully under his breath.

The female had been sleeping rather restfully. She was happy to be curled up next to her many siblings. They always made such a warm, cuddly nest. She breathed deeply, and let the dreams fill her head. But she was not expecting Akela to go and have himself such an interactive dream. She smiled in her sleep just as a well placed paw kicked her in her head. She leapt up from her sleepign position, her paw rubbing her forehead and frowning.
"What in the world.. Wake up Akela." She said, and put her paws on him and started rocking him b ack and forth.
"WAKE.UP." She said in a loud whisper.

The dark boy woke up with a startled expression that quickly turned to annoyance when he realized his impressive race had been nothing more than dream and that his darkest sister had just woke him up in the middle of the night.
“Why did you wake me, O’ahu?” he asked with obvious annoyance, his voice a muffled whisper as the cub let out a deep yawn before his head dropped to the ground and his eyes closed once again. “You can go outside on your own. You don’t need to wake anyone if you want to pee, you know?”

She blinked a bit, and when he closed his eyes she popped him over the head with a well placed paw. She frowned and narrowed her eyes irritably.
"What? I wouldn't wake you up if I had to do that.. Why would I wake you up for that?" She asked, as if he had just insulted her character. She would never have woken had he not kicked her in the head!
"If I have to wake up to you kicking me in the face, then I'm going to wake you up to apologize." She said, and her tone had that annoyed sound. Though it also had the 'apologize or Im telling' tone to it.

“Ow…!” Akela’Tsagi looked up but did not move from his spot, trying to make sense of his sister’s words. He was still fairly sleepy – even after her little blow – and the slow thought process did not mix well with the amount of words she was spouting. After a while, he finally realized what she was trying to say – or at least he thought he did.
“I didn’t kick you. Why would I kick you?” he yawned again but finally stood up and shook his body. He had a feeling they weren’t going to get back to sleep as soon as he’d hoped. “You were just having a bad dream.”

When he said Ow, she got a little thrill from the fact that she had kept him from sleeping. She was irritated, and she was a bit of a spitfire. She frowned and narrowed her eyes, though it was dark within the cave and whether or not he had seen her face she wasn't sure.
"You did too! Maybe YOU had the bad dream." She exclaimed, and her eyes were wide. She had been kicked! O'ahu liked to think she was reasonable enough to know that she wouldn't be mad at her brother for simply.. doing nothing.
"Denial is not just a river in Egypt daddy says." She responded sticking out her tongue.

“I didn’t have a bad dream.” Tsagi said firmly. “I was having a really good dream until you woke me up. It was… about… I can’t remember now.” The cub sat down with a curious expression as he pondered on the nature of dreams and how quickly one would forget them.
He sighed dramatically at his sister’s last words and stretched his body lazily with a long muffled yawn.
“Fine, fine, I hit you. I’m sorry.” Strange how that sounded a lot more like I didn’t hit you but I don’t want to argue so I’ll just agree with you. “Your tongue is gonna get stuck that way, you know?” he grinned, slowly starting to feel less sleepy as the conversion continued. “Do you want to watch the stars while we’re awake? We’re never up this late.”

She groaned tiredly, and rolled her eyes. "Ah. Yeah I'm su re you don't. I bet it had something to do with kicking me in the head." She said, and her eyes trained on him once again. Her brother was friendly, and she did love all her siblings. But she had that girly bossy trait that she was sure her parents hoped she'd grow out of by adulthood.
"Thank you. Now was that hard?" She asked, rolling her eyes but standing when he mentioned stars. She liked the stars, they were like.. big balls of gas light burning thousands of miles away. Though she was sure that was likely a stupid theory.
"Sure!"

Tsagi laughed, just a little. One minute she was giving him a hard time with a sulking face, rolling her eyes at him and the next she seemed to pretty excited about the idea off watching stars.
“I met a girl yesterday who said she’d seen a falling star. She said it scratched the sky and then disappeared!” His excitement seemed to be growing as well. He had so many questions regarding falling stars but he’d never actually seen one. He was usually a pretty heavy sleeper and unless someone woke him up – like it had happened tonight – Tsagi usually slept the night. “Do you think they can fall all the way down here?”

If there was one thing that O'ahu was. It was agreeable. She was friendly, and though she tended to have her bouts of girly bossiness that came with the age.. She still cared about her family, and she wasn't about to just be angry with her brother just to be angry with him. "A.. A what? That doesn't even sound real." She said, her eyes looking confused up at the sky. She didn't quite get it.. How could a star scratch the sky, then dissappear. "Well if they fall, they gotta fall somewhere right?" She asked, though she had no idea what it actually was. She yawned, stretching a little before looking at her brother again. "Now I'm tired again.."

Tsagi was still feeling pretty excited but he had the decency to look mildly ashamed when his sister yawned. It was his fault that she was awake at this late hour, regardless of whether or not he would sincerely admit it.
“Let’s got back. I’m getting cold.” He lied with ease, not really keen on admitting his true feelings on the matter. As far as he was concerned they could spend the entire night watching the stars. “We’ll watch the stars again some other night.” He rubbed his head along his sister’s side and gently pushed her in the direction of their sleeping siblings. - FIN -
