On his own that afternoon, Thorgnyr was, once again, down at the beach. The messenger quite liked spending time down there, because the roar of the waves as they hit rocks nearby reminded him of himself. Or at least, the Thunder part of himself, which, in many ways, was what Raiden essentially consisted of.

The dark lion shook out his gray mane, getting rid of a few tiny droplets of water that had sprayed onto him. He had been learning quite a bit of this warrior pride during his time spent here, and found that, as far as mortals went, he rather liked them. They were in many ways the sort of thing Raiden liked, and occasionally he wondered if any of his past lives had been involved with the Stormborn. Imagine, if one of his descendents were around! That would be amusing. And weird, because in his current incarnation the god had little interest in mortals, at least not in that way.

...Well, sure. There had been that little thing with Kazul. Not long ago, really, and he was kind of nervous about what might possibly come of that. But that had been all Thorgnyr, of course. None of the god.

The pale lioness picked her way down to the shore, eyes almost... Dancing. Some distant voice had told her she'd find something she sought on the shore... It never specified, though. The shadow-lion of her waking dreams was as mysterious as ever. She only found Thorgnyr there, though, and felt disappointment. Susu paused on the thought. Her, finding disappointment? That was unusual. She let out a quiet huff, before carefully moving down toward the water. Every step was quiet, the silence in her steps built from months spent practicing. Sneaking up on others had developed into a thrill for her because of it. Thorgnyr was no different.

And yet, something seemed different about the male lion, compared to normal. She just couldn't put her claw on it.

It was unlike Raiden to be distracted, but he had forgotten something. And he just realized it now. Thorgnyr had a mark on his shoulder. The god occasionally regretted having given his alter-ego any real markings, because then he had to remember to replace them when he went under disguise. So far he had not forgotten.

Yet, when he idly looked down, he realized the mark wasn't there. He had not seen, or spoken to anyone that day, and found it unlikely the missing marking had been noticed. That didn't mean it couldn't still happen, though. Because it was such an easy change to make on himself, he only barely thought it before the missing part of his 'disguise' appeared, just where it should have been.

Thorgnyr had a strange ability to make thunder sound on will, a little trick Raiden had used to convince the Stormborn that he was really some godsend. But among the tricks he used to validate his claim, the ability to change his appearance was not one of them.

It hadn't even occurred to the god that someone could have been nearby, and witnessed the change, however insignificant it may appear to him.

Indeed, somebody had noticed. When she'd gotten closer, Susu had noticed the lack of marking... And then there it was. An eyebrow went up. Lions couldn't do THAT... NO mortal lion could do that... Slowly, a smile spread across her maw, dark and twisted, before she all but pranced over. "Thorgnyr, I was HOPING to find you here! You know, I heard the most FASCINATING thing about gods the other day from one of the thralls! Would you care to hear it?" She was suspicious now that Thorgnyr wasn't all he seemed. She wondered... Could she catch him in his own web?

The sudden voice caused the god to frown, and turn an ear in the direction of the lioness. Followed by his head. It had yet to occur to him that she may have seen the little swap there, and his main preoccupation was simply the fact that someone was speaking to him. Raiden couldn't recall her, aside from the fact that knowing she was a member of the pride. And evidently remembered him (though, any stormborn at this point knew who he was).

"Really?" He asked, though didn't appear interested. Mortals here talked to him about gods often enough, which he supposed made sense. Thorgnyr would be a lion who had plenty of contact with gods, enough to be blessed by one of the Stormborn's patron deities. "And what was that?" He doubted it would surprise him. Being a god, he knew quite a bit about them. Certainly more than this lioness.

The pale lioness padded closer, soon brushing by the male. "Oh, yes... It was about... Mortal guises..." She passed him, tail flicking. The black hair of the tip smacked right on the missing and returned marking. "For instance, they need to get markings exact and consistent... So they don't..." She paused, looking at him right in the eyes. "Get caught by someone." Turning around, she walked around his other side. "So, Thorgnyr... Tell me something.. When did... Changing your appearance become part of your skill set? Or..." Susu paused again. "Is your name even Thorgnyr?"

He listened to her suspiciously. Mortal guises? What was she getting at? Of course, the cat was out of the back quickly enough. Raiden only acted a fool, most of the time. He wasn't actually unintelligent. Perhaps immature, but...

So she had seen him. For a brief moment, he was actually a little amused. He knew he would only be making a fool of himself if he played it innocent. Evidently this lioness knew something. What amused him, however, was this was a mortal. Acting like she had caught him doing something stupid. Him, a god.

"I'm not sure what you're getting at," He said, strangely calm. "But you do know that I can kill you." It was a little dark even for him, honestly. Raiden had been born and raised in the pridelands, around kind lions, and even after time spent with the stormborn, murder wasn't exactly an idea that appealed to him.

Still, he didn't want his little 'secret' getting out. In the end he wouldn't lose much, but Raiden wouldn't be getting his way. He'd much rather have his way.

Susu chuckled, almost clucking, before circling back around him. "I'm getting at," she said, "the fact that you changed a marking... And you shouldn't have been able to." Standing next to him, she looked up at him, one eyebrow up. "And you wouldn't want the whole PRIDE knowing, would you? Why... I can hear it now... We look away from Thunder to, oh..." She lifted a paw, motioning with it as she thought of a random domain. "Pixie dust!" Her gaze locked back onto his. "Would you want that? To lose the whole pride's worship of the God of Thunder?"

He wouldn't be intimidated by her. They were, after all, at the beach. It was simple enough to just carry her out to sea, and drop her. This was a foolish mortal, who thought she could get the upper paw against a god. "Even if you had proof, there would be no reason to look away from Thunder." He pointed out. Simply being a god wasn't a crime. In fact, it would likely just give him a larger celebrity status.

The thing that might make Raiden lose favor if they found he was a god, and found out about what he did with Kazul. Messing with the warlord's daughter had hardly been his wisest moment, but it hadn't been entirely his fault. He'd blame her, for most part. And Thorgnyr's compliance. This lioness, of course, had no way to know about that. It would be inconvenient either way. "But since you haven't yet gone out, crying nonsense, I assume you want something." He mused. "So I guess you could just say what it is you want, instead of wasting your time with foolish theatrics. Perhaps I'll give you it, instead of abandoning you out at sea." He curled his tail, and settled it onto his paws.

Now both eyebrows were up as Susu grinned ear to ear, eyes dancing. "Now there's a prospect..." She took a seat, ears trained on the other lion. "It's nothing much, really... While I could easily ask nearly anything of you within your power... What I want is far... Simpler... More primal." She examined her claws. "You've met Munyu, yes...? Somewhere along the line of all the faces... He's hard to miss - All white, black hair. He's a seer, like myself... Though I have suspicions his father may have been a god... That's why I picked him up and brought him here... What I covet most would be offspring... Who are seers... And from my old pride, I've already made the observation of god, with mortal, makes seers..." Brown eyes flicked back up to his face. "Do you see what I'm getting at here? I presume you DO..."

Sadly, he did. Perhaps if he weren't so irritated that some dumb mortal was manipulating him, he would have wrinkled his nose and cried out an 'EWWWWWW'. It wouldn't be the first time he did it in this incarnation, but Raiden was often still rather childish. Besides, it was a silly request. She wanted his cubs, just for the sake of them being seer? How pointless was that? Most seer couldn't even do anything with their powers.

"Munyu, your son?" He'd keep that in mind for later. "Very well. And you will keep your mouth shut." Despite his thoughts on the whole plan, he sounded perfectly lever as he said it. He'd probably go sulk about it later. "Whatever cubs are born, you must claim are from a rogue." He hardly needed kids in Thorgnyr's name right now, considering he already was at risk of having some on the way. Especially a litter full of seers, lest someone else figure out who he really was. If she claimed it was a rogue, then it simply stood to reason it could have been any random god.

"Should you break your word, however, I will see to it that you, your son, and 'our' cubs will suffer the consequences." He warned. He could make a deal, but he couldn't tolerate more. Threatening his own apparent future offspring seemed dumb, but if that's what this lioness held dear... Well, what else could he threaten?

He stood up and stretched. If Raiden was bothered (and he was), he gave no outward appearance. The god didn't know what she planned to do now, but he would hardly initiate such foolishness.

Susu again chuckled, eyeing the male. "Oh, that won't be a problem... I have secrets of my own best kept... Under the rug, as it were... So you have nothing to worry about, so long as someone ELSE doesn't catch you." Her tail flicked, again the tuft swatting his gone-and-back marking.
