A brightly colored male prowled through the night, the night that was his friend and his sole companion. Yet as much as his warring mind would push him towards relishing the only enjoyment he found in the night, he was on a hunt. Taro wanted to hunt his sister down and show her the wolf he had become.
Of course it wasn't totally her fault that he was cruel and insane. No, it was their parents fault. If anything, Taro could find Gabriella and when he did find her he would know where their parents were located. They apparently had moved from their birth territory to someplace else. Where ever that was he was going to get them like the monster he was.
For now, Taro slowed his steps to silence them and breathed in deeply to taste the scents in the air for any sign of life, wolf or otherwise. After all, he wasn't going to just let this become an uneventful night.

Her family slept. Thus it was her time. Zhu loved the night. All the promises it offered and secrets it held. She relished these nightly excursions. She could do what she wanted and cause as much death as she liked. For there was nothing that held her attention as the death of something. Preferably by her own jaws.
Thus it was that she raced through the dark night. Her paws practically flew over the ground. An unfortunate rabbit had the bad luck to go racing out in front of her and she had given chase. Now her tongue lolled out and her eyes flashed with anticipation. Zhu couldn't know that a full grown rabbit was more than a match for a pup. No matter how coordinated said pup might be.
That thought never entered her mind as she trailed behind. She could smell the fear of it and it pulled her onward. Ahead the rabbit gave a squeal of terror as it ran right into Taro.

Having stopped again to catch more scents the large golden male with hints of white and black woven into his fur looked down as a rabbit ran right into him. This one was a nice plump, juicy rabbit that would no doubt satisfy his hunger. A sharp snarl ripped from him as his large white teeth, his fangs perhaps a tad bit sharper then normal launched itself to capture the rabbit by the neck and hold him there.
The wolf looked like a monster in the night with the struggling animal that was crying out in fear and helplessly, knowing it's end was near. Yet rather than make the kill a swift one, Taro relished in making the prey suffer. Yes it was the greatest part after all.

Zhu came charging up to the bigger wolf who'd stolen her prey. She growled fiercely with her hackles up. "Drop that rabbit right there! It's mine. Don't you dare kill it!" Her little white fangs flashed in the moon light. If he took the pleasure of the kill from her, she'd be one mad pup.

Taro looked down, rarely surprised but nonetheless possessing such a reaction. Growling low the elder male dropped the weak rabbit and placed a paw on it to keep it still, lowering his head to face the little she pup who dared to claim the rabbit as hers. "Begone she pup. This rabbit ran to me so it belongs to me. Find your own before you find your end by my teeth."
Came the deep, rumbling voice of the male that flared his nostrils in warning with piercing golden eyes that looked like fire from the sun, so much like his siblings. Pushing the thought aside he watched the pup closely with a knowing look that she will be afraid of facing a monster and will run away. If he was in a good mood, which was never really, he would let her go but then where was the fun in not changing down another to strike fear into their hearts?

Zhu didn't hesitate as she stopped stiff-legged in front of him. "You mangy cur! That rabbit only ran into you because I was chasing it! Lazy mongrel can't catch anything not handed to you?" The pup taunted the older male. Her eyes trying to calculate how to get close enough to claim her rightful prey. She had first dibs on that rabbit and no wolf was gonna stop her.
Her eyes flashed angrily as he refused to give up the contested rabbit. Zhu stalked up to him, trying to bully him off.

This child did not know who she was speaking to! Such disrespect! Snarling he bared his teeth further showing wickedly sharp fangs. "Watch yourself little female, you are showing disrespect for your elders. This now belongs to me and if you don't like it then I dare you to take it from me." This little pup was showing some serious spunk. Maybe more so than normal pups would in their entire life span. Growling sharply he took up the rabbit and held it between his powerful jaws, slowly squeezing the life out of it and challenging the she pup to take it from his jaws of life. As if she could!

Zhu hesitated just a moment as he snarled at her. Those were some big teeth. However his taunt, and strangling of the rabbit that rightfully should have been hers drove the female into a rage. With a roar of a growl she threw herself at him. Her eyes flashing as she darted around and her jaws snapped at anything that came within reach. She wanted to kill him. While she might not currently be powerful enough to take Taro on that wasn't going to stop her from making him pay.

Growling loudly, Taro stepped back, pushing the she pup away. Or at least trying to. The female was smaller than him, obviously and he had to keep kicking her back, swiping at her to back off him all the while holding the weak rabbit in his jaws. Then it occurred to him to leave. He didn't have to be obligated to dally with a brat. Jumping up he trotted away in the direction of where he came. This little female didn't stand a chance surviving out here if she was lost and that just made her easy prey for others bigger than her and for him to watch as amusement.

The pup did her best to reach the rabbit in his jaw, but her smaller size was a distinct disadvantage. Finally in irritation she snapped at the paw he used to push her away. He couldn't just give her the brush off!
"Running away eh coward?! Can't admit I'm too much for a low wolf like you." Zhu sing-songed mockingly. She gave chase as he started to leave. Oh no she wasn't going to let him get away. Her brow furrowed as she made it, barely, over a couple of small logs. She gave a grow then started harassing him and biting for his ankles. Zhu would make him regret turning his tail to her.

This pup had more than spunk. Stopping he dropped the rabbit to the ground between his legs the creature too weak to run away from him and stared down at the following brat. "She pup, you say such big things yet you are nothing but a tiny, itty bitty brat that has nothing. You are not too much for me. Your a waste of time despite the amount of spunk you show." The large male lowered his head and got in Zhu's face. "Go back to your mommy before I give you a reason to." Leaning closer he snapped at her nose to give the pup a warning

Ah! He's stopping! She bounded forward aggressively. "Stop calling me she-pup! My name is Zhu and I'll be the death of you!" Her tail gave a wag. That sounded catchy! Turning back to business she glared at him. "I'm not afraid of you. You're nothing but a stupid bully. I'll take you down." She growled at him, her best growl. "I don't need her to deal with you!" His snap did make her pause just a bit. He really was a lot bigger, and looooook it those teeth! "I just want to kill my rabbit. If you're hungry I'll let you have it after that." Zhu looked down her nose at him as if giving him a favor.

The she pup had an interesting name. Zhu. But that didn't matter since the pup kept calling him names and saying such nonesense that it was down right disrespectful to the elder male. Dropping the rabbit down and holding protectively close he snapped his teeth at her, close enough to n** her cheek. gold]"I do not care what you want pup. This rabbit belongs to me. It's suffering is for me to see and to give. Find another your own size if you wish to kill." Which was rather odd that a pup wanted to kill....Very odd.

Her eyes followed the weak rabbit down. She snarled and tried to snatch the rabbit from him. Zhu gave a yip of rage as he dared n** her cheek. A drop of blood welled up and she licked it away.
"Now you're in for it fool! Gabriella is going to rip you piece from piece for doing that." She gave a feral grin in delight. It was going to be a sight to see for sure.

Taro smirked at the sight of blood on the pup but he lost it when the she pup mentioned a name he had not heard of in years. A very long time. Stepping back he stared at this pup to see if he wasn't really losing his mind. There was something awfully familiar in the pup's markings and colors. Except for her eyes, his family never had pinkish eyes, only this burning golden orange. Narrowing his eyes he leaned close to her face again. "Gabriella. Tell me pup, what does she look like?" AFter all he wanted to be able to know it was the right Gabriella and not the wrong one.
