Machupa had been wandering for some time now, his paws were beginning to get that numb feeling they always did when he went on one of these 'finding myself out in the wilderness' kicks. Of course, those only came along after he drank that last bit of a batch of delicious sweet-water tonic. It was the perfect concoction of delirium that sent the young male sprawling out over the lands, running, leaping, and something just walking in order to get to no place in particular. To be far, he was probably going to have a right headache when he woke out of his stupor, but that was always fixed with another swig of his trusty fire water.
The small male's ears swiveled from side to side as he laxly listened to his surroundings, his eye drifting somewhere in the distance. This was a perfect feeling of ease that Machupa enjoyed thoroughly, his mood mellowed out by the sweet, warm fuzziness that still swirled in his gut. If only there was someone around to share it with! He gave a very loud and drawn out sigh, flopping down to the ground with a thud and a pouting look. Why was he so lonely?

 Putri had managed to wander fairly far away from her mother Juno with no real problems thus far. She was unknowingly heading towards the border of the pride while chasing after a butterfly. Why oh why were they so fast? Why was she so slow? Not willing to give up though she chased after it rather merrily.
After what seemed like forever she made it to the border of the pride, still chasing after a single butterfly. "Oh come on!" Putri said with determination. "Let me get a closer look at you!" She said, attempting -- and failing -- a growl. Mostly out of breath now she came to a halt, letting the small insect get away. As she stood there trying to catch her breath she noticed a rather loud thud type sound. Raising her head and a brow she looked around. It didn't look like there was anyone around to cause such a sound. "Hmm..." She said to herself, a devilish grin coming over her maw. Maybe she should check out whatever it was.
Thinking the sound she heard to be some kind of animal the small cub made her way towards the sound. After only a few minutes of walking she found herself face to face with the one who had made the sound. A rogue male lion who was gold and white in color. Instantly she knew he had been drinking. Letting her green eyes linger over him she concluded that he probably wouldn't be much harm to her, at least not in this state. Quickly she bridged the gap between them and placed a small paw on his nose. "You look sad." She stated.

The small male had almost begun to drift off in his stupor, as wallowing in loneliness always made him tired like that. He took to taking several drawn out breathes, feeling his eyelids begin to droop, and not at all aware of the approach of the young cub. If he had known she was around, he wouldn't have squealed like a little girl when her paw touched his nose. "I can't breathe!" he gasped as he pulled his head away quickly, thinking, that for some reason, someone had been trying to suffocate him. Bewildered, his gaze landed on the small yellow creature and he gave her a puzzled look.
"Why would you do that? That's mean you know." He wasn't mad at her, no not at all, instead he laughed! It was impossible to feel angry when his tummy was so warm and fizzly. With another warm chuckle he laid his head back down again and flopped to his side, quite content to just lay there like nothing had happened. Oh, there were probably others around too, since cubs weren't often by themselves. But hey, at least he wasn't alone!
