The main hallway of Amityvile, or the only one that really, lead to the school office was almost covered entirely with flyers. The back of the flyer really wasn't that impressive, but upon retrieving and flipping over one of the papers, they read:FUNDAMENTALS OF FEAR GUEST LECTURE Join Professor QB as he explains the fundamentals of Fear. All participants require no prior experience or classroom requirements other than a willingness to participate and learn. This class will also include a small field trip exercise to the Human World, so it is important that all attendants be on their best behaviour. Don't miss out on this once of a school lifetime opportunity! Location: The Gymnasium Time: Moonday at 1:00 pm XX/ 52/ XX/ 13 / XX
What exactly did Fundamentals of Fear even mean? OOC: THE RUMOUR MILL Thanks to this flyer, there are currently several rumours circulating this guest lecturer and series of events. Your student is free to eavesdrop onto conversations (that other "npc" students are chattering about) once they approach the gymnasium. Roll three 6-sided dice and match your your results for each set. It is up to you how and what your student heard from the set of dice (ie: I roll "Potatoes", "Pie", and "Cheese", I can now make up whatever my student might have heard from those words ie: "Professor QB is made out of potatoes, pie, and cheese). - You can roll as many times as you want to eavesdrop really and post reaction posts/ commentary with fellow students as you please. DICE ROLL 1:1: The Human World is still dangerous.... 2: I heard that all humans are vicious and hateful... 3. I heard that there are these false reapers about in the Human World.... 4. The old headmaster would never have allowed this.... 5. What if the Bogeymen know about this?... 6. Do you think they know information about Red?... Dice Roll 2: 1. ... the Professor runs an open class... 2. ....they have worked in the Human World before... 3. ....are they related to D.E.T.H.?.... 4. ....I wouldn't trust them.... 5. .... very straightforward... 6. .... contracts.... There were.. .a lot of flyers in the hallway right about now. Furrowing his brow, Shun looked around and curiously snatched one up. It didn't look particularly interesting, but he did notice a blurb of text on the back. A quick skim told him next to nothing as usual, but he did somehow managed to pick up on the word 'fear'. He was going to have to have Mitsu read it to him later on.
Folding it up, he placed it into his pocket and continued on, hearing bits and pieces of other students murmuring in the halls.
"The Human World is still dangerous.... the Professor runs an open class... I wouldn't go if I were you."
The Reaper paused as he heard this. Well that sounded rather ominous. But really, it only piqued his curiosity. The human world was indeed dangerous, as that was where the hunters were stationed no doubt. However, there rarely were any gains without risks involved. He'd have to try and look into this further if possible.

Professor QB? Who was this? She'd never even heard of them. Junko frowned as she read the flyer again and again. "The human world? But every time we go there something bad happens." Junko shook her head.
"We're creatures of fear...we can't be afraid to go there." Junko replied to Her with a sigh, looking up when she heard murmurs around her.
"What if the Bogeymen know about this?"
"... the Professor runs an open class..."
"... seems promising!"
Promising, huh? Maybe she'd give it a look. It was only proper for members of the student council to be there, right?

Well this was promising - a small group of people had conglomorated around a rather impressive pile of papers, his eyes scanning over everyone before walking forward, leaning over to pick up one of the papers that had fallen on the floor, as gracefully as a man with a cat on his shoulders could, a pitiful mewling rang in his ears as she complained about being tilted over.
Reading it over, his eyebrows rose and smile cracked his face, looking around as the rumour mill started, murmurs around him starting already, his ears catching the slightest bits of conversation as it went around, glowing eyes flicking around to find who had started, and where these tails of tales were coming from.
What if the Bogeymen know about this? . . . .they have worked in the Human World before . .. I read in the paper that none of these professors know what they're doing . .
They were at least amusing, some of them - but made him think as he looked around further to see who else may be scoping out the ends of conversation, his amusement fresh on his face, tail flickering behind him and a whiny Seiben complaining about sudden movements.

Jericho eyed the students all around nervously as he heard them speaking about this or that. Gritting his teeth, he looked at one of the fliers, spotting the ad for the fundamentals of FEAR class. And something about a trip to the human world.
The things he heard others murmuring was likely right. Hunters were humans. They were probably in the human world. Given that, he would assume they have worked there too.
These other students were sorely unprepared. It frustrated the hell out of him. If this kept up the hunters could snatch them all away from their homes in no time. Especially with the recent developments he had heard about...

The garble of whispers and murmurs spreading throughout Amityville High felt somewhat higher as of late - everything seemed to be important, everything seemed to be larger, more pressing, the atmosphere in the school shifting with the Horsemen Trial, as well as the confusing and vaguely suspicious flyer that had gone up apparently overnight.. There were rumors flying every which way, about one thing or another, and as Sparrow made his way down the hall he could hear a few more whispers...
"What if the Bogeymen know about this?... "
Sparrow slowed his step, tilting his head and trying to make out what they were saying. The Bogeymen know about what, exactly..?
"....are they related to D.E.T.H.?...."
...what was D.E.T.H?
"... we should go together and try it out..."
But work out what, exactly? Sparrow frowned, rubbing a finger against his chin. Lost in thought, he wasn't quite paying attention to where he was walking and wound up smacking into a boil a few feet away.
"Er," said Sparrow, hastily taking several steps backwards. "Sorry, my mistake - I, er...was thinking about something and...not...paying...attention."

G liked to learn, even though he wasn't any good at it. It took him nearly an hour to putter out what exactly the flyer meant, but what G did understand was that there'd be a chance to go to the Human World.
A chance to eat a boat.
The swamp monster was salivating openly at the thought, dancing from foot to foot in a fit of utter glee. A boat, a boat! He wanted to go, he had to go!"
"Do you think they know information about Red?... " Was the first whisper that caught Gargantuan's intention, and his head snapped around incredulously. All of his fins immediately wilted at the thought of Red, of the horn fragment he still had hidden in his room. " ....are they related to D.E.T.H.?.... "
He didn't know what D.E.T.H. was, but it sounded sort of scary. Maybe this was a bad idea. " ... we should go together and try it out..." On the other hand, it seemed like a lot of students were going to go. That meant it had to be okay, right?
G never learned, and his naive, hopeful nature immediately inflated itself once more. Of course it would be okay! It had to be!

Zar had been coaxed into coming out of his room a little more of late, determined not to get as shut in as he had let himself get before, actually making himself take a daily walk around the campus and stretch his hooves. It was only as he noticed a crowd milling around the main hall he broke off from his usual route and went to see what the hubbub was about, freezing dead and feeling as if someone had dropped a lead weight in his gut as he heard someone say.
"I heard that there are these false reapers about in the Human World" in the crowd. Oh Jack. Not this again. The false reapers that so many people were propounding the existance of. He still didn't buy it, he felt like they were actual reapers, he'd seen nothing to imply the human world had anything to do with them. Still, he edged a little nearer
".... contracts...." Now that sounded sinister. As a demon, contracts and marks were always serious business. If they thought he was signing any kind of contract they had another thing coming.
" ... would be interesting to see what they have to say about Fear " he frowned. What would humans know about fear? His father said fear controlled them, that they were stupid and led by the emotion. He didn't know what to believe.
So he stuck around, he couldn't help it.

Hel had never heard of a professor QB before, but she also didn’t know there was a white looking mini-pet running around claiming to be a professor either until a while ago. The reaper easily leapt to the possibility that this mysterious professor QB could be the very same one that had spoken to Shun and herself. So as soon as she saw the flyer, the valkyrie was running to the gym. Huh…everyone seemed really gossipy today too…
I heard that all humans are vicious and hateful...

She happened to catch snippets as she pushed her way through the crowd towards the gym. Huh. She wasn’t so sure about that first bit…and what was that about contracts? Wasn’t that something demons did? Lizzy warned her about those…and the last bit well…that was still left out to the jury. Hel paused as she burst into the gym, taking a deep breath. Oh good…she made it! The ghoul them marched on over and took a seat right in the front.

Nuru had stumbled on the flyer earlier but now he was here holding it as he double checked the time and location before wandering inside.
Almost as soon as he showed up he overheard random rumors among the people already present.
"The Human World is still dangerous...." He rubbed his chin while quietly wondering what such a world was even like. Having not realized he's even seen humans at all yet.
"....I wouldn't trust them...." His ears perked a little. Who? The humans?
"... seems promising." That was the final message he received. If he understood correctly. Humans and their world are dangerous and untrustworthy. But still the venture to do so was promising?
Right! Perfect sense. Not.

The last time things had been...stirring in the hallways- well, Barth hadn't gotten detention. But Christof, Riley, and Jericho had. Speculation about Red, though...straightforward? What did they know. He didn't have any more insight as to why Red or the Christmas creatures had...turned. Or why they were drained of color except the same eerie blue glow as the Hunter technology. He and Christof had been making...some progress, but- straightforward. Hardly.

As he continued down the hall, Shun heard more people talking it over. Quite frankly, he didn't know what the ******** they meant. He thought that maybe he should stick around a little more to see what else he might be able to hear. Information was a very useful thing... if it actually made sense.

In the short time since he had rejoined society, West had borne witness to a startling number of rumors. It was as if the departure of all those Scarentine's-induced feelings had left everyone with a frantic need to fill their lonely hearts with juicy gossip.
"The Human World is still dangerous..."
Really now? The whole... one time he'd been there, no one could even see him. With the Hunters traipsing around, it seemed to West that Amityville was the dangerous place. In the Human World, Halloween did the hunting. Right?
"...I wouldn't trust them..."
Who? West turned and stared after the pair of pigtailed ghouls who had come up with that whispered gem. If he had known who they were talking about he might have been more interested, but as it was, he had no idea who he wasn't supposed to be trusting.
"...I wouldn't go if I were you."
By this time West had been to the flyer hallway and he had pieced together the fact that most of what everyone was whispering about had to do with this QB fellow. He had to admit, so much chatter about one little professor had him intrigued. It was almost time for the class to begin. West decided it would be best to check it out.

Any good nature ginger kid who's family of gingers were often known for their gingerly ginger meddling around where their noses shouldn't would have explored the rumors they heard about the halls.
"Wicked!"
Bul exclaimed as he was approached. "Of course I would go, how the Jack are we supposed to get better at scaring humans if we don't actually go there?" He scoffed. Their next response was just silly. "A lot of good monsters have worked in the human world before, that doesn't surprise me."
With a flick of his wand tail, Bul grew impatient. "Yea some humans, I know that for a fact. Not all of them could be vicious they're scared of me right? Wait-"
