It had all happened so slowly that Zar hadn't really noticed it, after the assembly to announce the interference of the four clans in day to day amityville goings on, the Incubus had found himself a little more aware of the people around him, a little more suspicious of motives. Over time that suspicion had bloomed and flourished into paranoia and after the scarentines events and some of the things he'd seen there, he was convinced there was something very wrong at the school. He'd panicked and now spent most of his time when not businesslike going to classes shut in his room.
His room which was starting to get /messy/, piled high with stacks of paper for who knew what, bed unmade, every square inch covered with some kind of document or book bristling with bookmarks.
The paperwork wasn't making him feel safe anymore.
He had a problem.

Nuru had so much difficulty dealing with not having Zar around. Especially when their interaction ended on such an unfriendly note. They were meant to leave school grounds.. go on a first date, unwind.... something! Instead, the memory of that sound Zar's door made as it slammed in his face clawed at his memories.
It's been days now. More days than he could count. Zar still wont open his door to him.
Shame he wasn't about to give up. Another day and another day the incubus wasn't leaving of his own accord. So again claws meet door.Scrbble.Scrbble.Scrbble. Scrbble. He was pretty insisting.

Zar tried to ignore the scratching. It was soothing. At first anyway. But then it wouldn't go away, and kept at him, kept nibbling at his thoughts whenever he tried to write anything down. It was impossible to ignore for the long term so he had to irritably put down his pen on the desk and with a sigh get up to answer the door before the dog boil clawed /all/ the paint off of it.
He swung it open, looking irritable. It had been locked for a reason, to keep potential enemies and spies out, to keep him safe. Nuru was yet another potential traitor to him, the boil had showed allegiance to the student council in the past, he couldn't let him close, couldn't let him know his insecurities. Couldn't let him see all this paper. But at the same time, he really did need help, and opening the door was the only option in getting that help.
"Can I /help/ you?" He snapped icily, crossing his arms, tail curling around his hooves. trying to look serious, trying to hide the mountain of mess in his room by fanning his wings..

Nuru wasn't fooled though. He simply leaned another way to see around Zar and what he saw... shocked him. Wide red eyes turning back on Zar, curiously scanning every inch of the demons face.
"We... we never went out for dinner?" He asked. Trying not to mention the fact Zar slammed the door on him before when he was supposed to just.. get some things for said date.
"And then you've been in here for days..." He added.

Zar looked defensive. "Well. I mean.. I just .. panicked. I've been a little out of it lately. And it just...suddenly felt ..really overwhelming." He fiddled with his claws uncomfortably as he stepped out of the way of the door, refusing to meet Nuru's gaze, staring at the floor instead.
"Come in. I'm sure theres... well. I'm sure there's somewhere you can sit." He frowned looking ashamed of himself, well aware that he was normally impeccably clean but in his recent spate of paranoia losing track of the paper, just needing to write away his problems while running out of space to store or file things.
"And I've not been out because I've been busy. As you can see."

Nuru peered around him at the mess and frowned. It almost looked like his own room. Almost. It lacked the awesome scent of mis-placed sandwitches. Still.. for Zar? This wasn't a good sign and he knew it. He went over to try and sit on Zar's messy bed and get himself comfortable.
"Maybe. Sure you don't need a break from.. uh..." He gestured around his general vicinity as if it all spoke for itself.
"What have you been working on anyway?" He frowned.

Zar shrugged. "Oh erm. Just like, things that father needed done. And a lot of filling things out in duplicate and triplicate." And sometimes more than that when he got carried away. It was all recyclable however he told himself, it wasn't a waste of paper.
He looked around at the stacks and stacks of paper. "As for a break.. maybe. Maybe I could do with a break. But I don't really feel safe out there lately, like there's people out there plotting. All the time."

"We could dress you up like a ghost." He tried to suggest in surprising earnest.
"Then remove the costume as soon as we get past the gate and are safe to do things." His brows raised and he looked rather hopeful with his idea.

"Like a... ghost?" He gave Nuru an incredulous look, not sure if he was kidding or not. It would very possibly /work/ to get him out of there but still, it'd look rather silly. "Maybe that'd be okay. " he grudgingly admitted.
He wandered over to sit next to Nuru on the bed, closer than usual, frowning. "I've been thinking about quitting you know. I don't feel safe here and I can't shake it off. I don't know what the plan is, why they are making up these crazy reapers, why they seem to want to get the school closed down, and I think I'm really starting to overthink the whole thing." He sighed. "Its making me go a little unstable."

A little? Nuru stared at Zar looking a little surprised before deciding to leaaaan a little his way.
"Some time outside might help you feel better then? No school. No class. No students. Just you - and me." He smiled earnestly at Zar.

Zar didn't actually object for a change, feeling as if he needed the nearness a little more than usual.
He nodded though. "Yes, you might just be right. Maybe I need some air, some time away from the school." He wasn't sure how well he'd do away from his office for too long however. "I just don't know anymore, It could make things worse. But I suppose it'd give me perspective in any event, being shut in here all day every day can't be good."
He eyed his claws again distantly. "I'm sorry for spoiling our date by the way."

"It's not spoiled if you make it happen tonight?" He wiggled a brow playfully at Zar.
"Dunno where we'd get the disguise though on such short notice.." He tapped his chin with a finger.

Zar looked doubtful. "I'd probably spoil it all over again Nuru. For all we know I could get there and then I just freak out all over again. I'm not sure why I keep getting so stressed. I think its probably..well, probably a combination of things. Father's been a little more pushy than he was before. In addition to all this council stuff. Pressure. And if he hears I was out on a date with a ghost boil? I don't know how pleased he'll be about that either. I think he was expecting me to make demon connections."
He frowned "At least according to the letters."

Nuru rolled his eyes before reaching and grabbing a sheet off Zar's bed and tossing it over him. He then groped around at the sheet for Zar's hand - which he deftly grabbed and proceeded to drag him by towards the bedroom door.
He hoped no chance to respond simply meant Zar wouldn't.

Nuru's guess was on the mark, Zar wasn't entirely sure HOW to respond when someone was pushy with him and as such made various little sounds of dissent but on the whole was able to be led off the bed, trying not to stumble over the sheet as he followed along behind the other boil.
"N..nuru, I can't /see/ anything."
