It wasn't terribly later from when they were in the park that Natalia brought Asch and Luke, making sure to walk between them, to a nice upscale restaurant. One she knew had private rooms. Not long after that the noble woman had them a room to themselves and she was sitting properly in a chair at the table that was strategically long enough that neither Asch nor Luke could reach the other with out standing and leaning, with her in between them.
"All right boys, we can talk here and I expect you to keep your voices at the proper inside tones." She said pleasantly with a smile that gave nothing away.

The walk to the restaurant, even if not an especially long one, gave Luke the opportunity to come down from the nearly-violent anger with which he had regarded Asch a short time earlier. He found himself drained when the last of the adrenaline eased away from him and left him with a vague dizziness and fatigue. Perhaps he'd let himself get too stressed out by the recent events - and what good had it done him? Well, whatever. Regardless his clearly-justified fury, he was apparently going to sit in that b*****d's company and calmly listen to whatever nonsense he spouted. Luke sank silently, if not bitterly, into the chair and awaited an explanation.

As they walked, Asch went in silence, watching the idiot out of the corner of his eye. However, as he saw the restaurant they were approaching, he faltered a little bit, hesitant to go. But he did anyway. Such a place would not allow an easy escape should things go wrong. Even as they sat at a table in a private room, Asch took note of his surroundings and the exits, just in case. He was nervous, and felt like a caged animal. Natalia's smile was also unnerving because he knew she was hiding what she really felt.
Appearing aloof though, Asch sat at the opposite end of the table from the other redhead, folding his arms across his chest. He stared at his twin for a moment before speaking. "You shouldn't get so excited, its bad for your health," he said, edging on ridicule.

At least it seemed they had calmed down slightly, probably the best she could ask for at the moment. Natalia looked between the two as she thought on how to start this. Any angle she thought it had a good chance that something would go wrong though. Then Asch spoke to Luke so she hurried to distract Luke from Asch's tone.
"How much do you know about Asch, Luke? Has Guy talked to you at all?"

"Yeah, sure," Luke replied, cynicism heavy in his tone as he rolled his eyes. Validating Asch's stupid taunts was the last thing he planned to do.
He turned his attention to Natalia when she spoke, brow furrowing in a growing confusion. What was Guy supposed to have talked to him about? "Not... really," he said with a shrug, "We haven't talked much lately." His eyes wandered back to Asch as he considered how to answer the other part of the question, "Not much, I guess... He's a thief, and he uses the same sort of fighting style as me..."

Asch snorted in disgust, and glanced up as a waiter brought them tea. Bringing over a teapot to fill each of their already placed teacups. He then looked back across the table. At least his twin wasn't completely brainless. He had noticed a few things. He just lacked the intelligence to put two and two together.
"And why do you think that is?" Asch continued in the same tone as before. "Why do you think we look the same?" Even offering the feeble minded boy some assistance there.

Natalia gave a slight nod as she heard how Guy and Luke hadn't been talking. It surprised her since they had always been close though maybe they had just been busy. "Well recently Guy found out something about Asch and I had just wondered if he had even hinted at it." Once the tea came she thanked the waiter and started to get things ready for her tea. Then she looked over at Asch when he spoke up, raising an eyebrow at his tone but let it go and waited to see how Luke responded.

"How should I know?" Luke returned, maintaining his tone as mildly irritable. It was a feat in itself - he didn't appreciate all this beating around the bush as though he were stupid. He had invested some thought to try and puzzle out why Asch resembled, certainly, but all his thought processes converged around various impossible circumstances. Besides, it was just creepy and usually pissed him off, so he made a point of not focusing on it.
He nearly drew a hand over his cup when the waiter came to serve tea - he didn't want any damn tea - but he restrained himself. Let them treat this like some kind of dinner party or whatever. It wasn't as though they were taking his feelings into account anyway.
"I just said that he didn't." Distinct undertones of frustration were present in his tone, but at the very least his volume remained controlled.

Asch stared at Luke blankly for several moments. How dense could this guy possibly be!
"Tch! If I had know you were this stupid, I would have killed you seven years ago and spared myself and our family the trouble!"
He had to resist the urge to pound his fist on the table or throw something at Luke's head. Instead he took the now filled tea cup and sat straight, focusing his anger into something different as he sipped at the warm liquid with all the grace of a Grande Ile noble.

Natalia picked up her tea cup and took a sip to hold back a sigh at them both. She briefly wondered how they would had acted if they had been raised side by side. "Asch please don't say things like that, Luke please calm down." She gently set the cup back down and looked over at Luke. "You and Asch are twins." she said and watched him to see how he took that information.

"Me calm down? I'm not the one calling people stupid and making death threats into the past!" He folded his arms in aggravation, leveling a glare at the perfectly innocent wall to the side. He returned his attention to Natalia when she spoke again, his aggravation turned to confusion. He considered her words in a brief silence before giving his reply, "That's stupid. Natalia, you know I'm an only child."

Don't say things like that? Fine. Then he wouldn't say anything at all. Asch merely sat there and listened to the exchange between Natalia and "the idiot". The only sound coming from him being a "hmph" as he closed his eyes and took another long sip of his tea. Let the idiot be in denial. He didn't really care.

"And I addressed that, let it go." Natalia said sternly. Death threats or not she was not letting them derail this. But he wanted the truth and no more beating around the bush so he would get it. "You aren't. You and Asch were separated, if not at birth then soon after, I'm not sure which. You were raised somewhere else," Natalia gave Asch a curious look, wanting to know if he knew where, "then when Asch was captured, you were brought in to, well, take his place as 'Luke'."
She looked down at her tea cup and idly stirred it with a spoon. "Thanks to the incident you didn't remember the first ten years of your like so it wasn't hard for our parents to convince everyone."

Every word of the story Natalia told sounded like pure and utter crazy talk, like something out of some fantasy novel that was too boring to read properly. The words, however, gave birth to a strange sense of dread that Luke steadfastly ignored. He wasn't about to sit there and blindly accept being told that everything he had been raised on was untrue.
"And who told you that?" he asked at length.

"I did," Asch stated sternly as he finally set his teacup down and fixed his glare on Luke once again. "I was the one who was born as Luke fon Fabre. The first of twins. I was chosen as the heir to House Fabre, and you were the defect. Thanks to the Blood Purge, our father sent you away, until I disappeared. They gave you -my- name and -my- place."
Asch's fists started tightening at his sides as this topic ripped open old wounds, making them fresh and raw again. Just looking at his twin made his blood boil. "You call me a thief, and yet the real thief is you! You stole my entire life from me!"
