In the late afternoon Yin was walking back from class, the long way, despite the slight chill in the air. The long was as in going in the completely opposite direction so that he could stretch his legs and have a nice walk around the campus. He was passing the school's gates when he saw a familiar boil heading toward the town. The maul perhaps? He had went to the maul with him in the past.

He did a quick mental scan, trying to remember if he needed to do anything. Or specifically, if he had plans to meet up with Alexander, who had made it obvious in the past that he did not appreciate it if Yin failed to meet up with him. Nope, nothing. Cheerfully he darted out the gates, jogging toward the figure and calling out to him as he neared. "Mot? Is that you? Where are you headed to?" He had not seen the cowboil for quite a while, and quite a bit had happened since that time. "Are you going to get some more leather?" Okay, maybe a slightly odd question, but what better way to prove to the boil that he remembered his interests?

Ah, the daily walk to the maul.
While Mot liked to get coffee from cafes, sometimes they were much too pricy. The atmosphere wasn't the same, but Maul coffee was much more affordable.

The reaper was almost off campus when a familiar voice called him out. He turned his head, and his face fell when he saw who it was.

Yin, the S&M enthusiest.

Mot's jaw dropped at Yin's question, and it took a moment for Mot to compose himself again. "No! No, no, no. I'm just out for a coffee. Just coffee." Mot insisted with a nervous tone. "Nothing crazy. I'm a very non-crazy type. No risks or unbecoming activities for me! Ever..."

It almost looked as if Mot was...upset that he had shown up? Yin faltered slightly, but Mot kept talking, so it had to be okay that he was there. "Oh, coffee again? Perhaps I should give it another chance?" The boil did seem rather obsessed with the stuff, and it had not been all bad.

But the boil seemed nervous, which was admittedly odd just for talking about coffee. "Oh no, I did not mean to insinuate that you were crazy. I think of you as more...fun loving? Casual?" He really did not know how to describe the cowboil, but he was trying to be nice about it. What were some other nice descriptions he could use, just to calm the other boil a bit? "You are very interesting, and I think it is good to go at your own pace." Yes, he could not tell the boil to never risk anything. If one did not push themselves than muscles would not grow and form, it was a balance really.

"But sometimes its good to push yourself. You know, push the boundaries of comfort so that you can do more. It helps to build up stamina." Yin really did think about training too much.

"Well, if you want. It's an acquired taste." Mot commented.

Mot stared at Yin as he seemed to make an attempt to smooth over the situation. Now Mot felt badly. Maybe this kid wasn't so bad. Maybe he had gotten him all wro---

You know, push the boundaries of comfort so that you can do more. It helps to build up stamina.

NOPE. HE WAS RIGHT ABOUT HIM.

"Ah...aah..." Mot stammered, trying to find a way to nicely say he was not interested in S&M."N-noooo I uh... not the... type to... Oh hey, time is a wasting! Off to get coffee. Oh Jack help me do I need some right now..." The reaper mumbled with worried eyes, turning and starting toward the maul again.

"I'm a wholesome boil, really I am. What did I do to deserve being sought after by a weirdo..."

Yin had managed to find a silver seed at the Scarentine's party, and if he was really lucky a gnome would sometimes have him move a ridiculously large or heavy object so that they did not have to, and would reward him with a seed. They seemed rather gleeful when he agreed to do such things for a single seed, and some of the lazier ones were beginning to seek him out occasionally. So perhaps he could purchase a cup this trip.

He was startled out of his musings by the cowboil, who appeared to have a stuttering problem. Oh was he late? He muttered something that Yin could not quite hear and then turned, and Yin could really not understand what he was saying. He turned to walk alongside the leather boil bedecked with leather, unsure if he should ask. "I apologize. I did not mean to just barge into your day as I did. If you are busy or have plans naturally I would not desire to force you into allowing me to escort you. If you just let me know I can turn back to the school?" He really was worried, considering he had just invited himself along.

Ah, poor S&M boil. He seemed desperate for companionship. Perhaps he was the only boil at school with the same fetish. How lonely for him. Mot felt pity, and offered a kind smile to Yin. "No, it's fine. You can come along." He said with a chuckle, waving a hand dismissively. Just as long as he doesn't try to coerce me into joining his cult.. he thought to himself.

Still, now things felt awkward. What could Mot talk about that would steer the boil's mind away from his dirty deeds?

"So, Yin.." He started uncertainly, "Made many friends yet?"

Well, that was a relief. Yin continued walking next to him, glad that the boil seemed happy enough. It was nice to talk to just an ordinary boil friend sometimes, even if this one did perhaps like leather more than Yin thought was usual. He was fairly content to just walk in silence, boils did not necessarily talk as much as ghouls, and that was fine by him.

"Friends? I have a few." He seemed rather proud that he had a "few." Considering that he had not had very close friends home at the Clan to going to a best friend that he would be with forever, and two ghouls that he would consider his friends, plus a few friendly acquaintances seemed like a rather nice achievement. "They have different interests than me, but we have found things in common. Do you have many friends here? I know that you are with Lady Hel quite often...does she share your love for coffee? Or leather?"

It seemed Yin was able to make friends, even though they did not share his love of S&M. That was a relief to Mot for various reasons. "I do. I have a lot of friends." Too many to count.

"Ah, Hel hates that I like coffee so much. She's always nagging about it. As for leather.." Mot wouldn't say he was crazy for leather, but he did like it. "She wears.. leather boots? Oh, and she can make things from leather. She made this hat." He said proudly with a wide grin, flicking the hat that hung around his neck.

A lot of friends? That certainly sounded nice and Yin smiled cheerfully. He was simply in a very good mood lately, as everything seemed to be looking up at the same time for once. They were going at a fairly decent pace as they headed to the maul, and it was a good stretch of his legs.

"If it upsets her then why do you continue drinking as much coffee as you do? Is it a rebellion against her wishes?" He questioned the boil curiously, as it was odd that if the two cared so much for each other yet the boil still did something that obviously displeased her. Almost as an afterthought he added, "and that is a very nice hat indeed. Lady Hel must be a highly skilled leather worker." Okay, so maybe he did not know how to tell quality leather working, but it seemed nice enough, and the cowboil was obviously pleased with it.

Mot laughed at Yin's concern, grinning amusedly. "Well, I care for her, but you can't give up what you love in a relationship. I try not to drink as much of it, but I dont give it up." Mot chuckled again.

Soon the maul was in view, and Mot was so ready for his afternoon coffee. "One of these days I ought to just get a new coffee maker." No doubt he was wasting all his seeds on his daily habit.

Yin nodded, it made sense. If the cowboil was attempting to slow down that should be good enough. It was an effort to please his ghoulfriend at least. "A coffee maker? So you need a special...device? to make coffee?" That sounded peculiar. With tea you could always steep leaves in an ordinary cup, you did not have to have a special tea maker for it.

They had almost reached the door and Yin sped up a bit to open it for the other boil, simply to be polite. It was not until the door was halfway open that it occurred to him that perhaps he should not just open the door for any boil now, but it was too late. And he was just being polite so it should be fine, and surely Alexander would not mind. Mentally shrugging he waited for the Mot to go through first before following him into the maul. At least he knew now not to offer his hand to the other boil on this trip.

"Oh.. well kind of." Mot rubbed his neck and shrugged. "I could always make instant with boiling water but...it doesn't taste as good." Oh look! A maul.

The reaper nodded in thanks for Yin's courteous door holding and walked on inside. Ah, the maul. So many sights, but he was here for one thing only; Coffee. Sweet Bitter nectar of life.

The reaper continued onward, making a beeline for the Bloodbucks. The sane side of Mot wanted to treat the boil to a drink, but his paranoid side was scared he'd take it as some kind of invitation. He couldn't have that. He could get the wrong idea! Gosh, it was so tiring trying to evade this boil's cult pandering. Maybe if Mot could find a way to get the kid into something more wholesome?

"Got any other hobbies?" He asked conversationally. Please be something decent!

Other hobbies? Hobbies other than what? "Well of course there is training, I like to get my exercise in a variety of ways. It is not good to focus too much on one area. I also hunt fairly often, though that is mainly for food so I do not know if you would consider it a hobby." What else should he consider a hobby? Reading and studying with Alexander was mainly for school work, though occasionally they did read something for fun. "I suppose you would consider spending time with others a hobby? I spend some time with other students as well."

The reaper seemed to know where he was going and was moving fairly quickly, which meant that they were making fairly good time through the maul. "And what are your hobbies? I know that you enjoy coffee and leather, and spend time with Lady Hel, but I do not know what you actually enjoy doing." Then a thought struck him. "Are you in any clubs? I have been told that I should find some to join, but I do not know of any."
PostPosted: Tue Feb 28, 2012 2:00 pm

Well now, he certainly had the boil talking. Mot tried not to associate everything he said with what he assumed Yin's main hobby was. Surprisingly, it was difficult not to. Interestingly enough though, Mot was surprised to hear Yin hunted for food. He'd never really thought people did that. Perhaps that was his suburban reaper upbringing talking, assuming everyone just ate store bought food.

"Ah, well leather is just something I like to wear.. not really a hobby per se." Mot corrected with a nervous chuckle. "But... I enjoy writing and reading as hobbies." Gee, that seemed boring. Was.. was he boring? What a depressing thought.

Well, Mot did belong to a club, though he was certainly not an active member of it. "Fitness Club." He answered after a moment. "Riley runs it." He felt maybe he should take time to go to the fitness room more regularly. He could use it, seeing as he had little to know muscle to his thin frame.

"You should definitely look into joining a club. It's a great way to meet new friends and learn new things."

Writing and reading? It sounded faintly like torture. "That is nice," for you, he added mentally. "There is a club solely for fitness?" he questioned with interest evident in his tone. If there was a club just for short people it did seem plausible. "Who is Riley? Are they nice?" He wondered if it was in the gymnasium, and if he had actually met many of the members. Surely those interested in fitness would be the ones that he saw on his morning runs or in the gym.

He nodded thoughtfully about joining a club. It made sense to meet others, which would probably be nice. Maybe there were clubs that were just boils. Maybe Alexander would like to join a club with him, but he quickly dismissed that thought. One of the main purposes of joining a club would be to meet new people, and he would not do that if he went with Alexander, as he would just rely on the other boil.
