Ever since her conversation with Rio about shape shifting Tien had been seriously wondering how one went about flying. Since it seemed such a thing was possible, even when you weren't normally able to fly. But where to start? Unlike Love, the goddess didn't have a follower, or anyone, handy to be able to help her. So for the moment she lay in the grass, wearing scales and staring up at the sky.

At least walking was manageable in this shape now that she had gotten the hang of it. Tian Yue's advice had helped with that at least. She was hoping to surprise Worldshield on her next visit. Even if she couldn't fly well it would be something at least. If nothing else, the sight would be comical.

Shaig's comfort and well-being, giving Lunn as much information as he could, remembering the advice Rio had given him, overseeing the careful crafting of his gift to Glyph, and... not being a nervous wreck.

That was perhaps the reason why Ti Lung first did overlook the dragon-who-was-not-truly-a-dragon as he returned from the market - expression clearly pensive - until he did catch a glimmer of orange and yellow scale. Oh, which one was th-

Wait.

It looked like a dragon, yes. But it did not feel like a brother. not at all. The mana did not have the right feel to it. This left a clearly confused Xun Jiang to make his way toward Tien and sniff at her in a way that was more fit for dragon form than the form he was wearing now. "Who are you ?" He asked, clearly curious.

The goddess was snapped from her thoughts at the sound of a voice and she jumped a little realizing how close by he was. "Lifewater?"

Her voice might sound familiar, even if the shape she wore was not. She resettled herself comfortably, tail lashing back and forth lazily in the grass. Tian Yue had called her tiny and it was true; she was only the size of a small horse. "Come to venture a guess at my name? It does not surprise me you would come to find me before Shaig." The troll had looked quite tired after all; hopefully he and Lunn were doing well.

She put on her best cheeky dragon grin. Surely, that would be a hint enough to her identity! After all how many others made you guess their name?

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. There were two surprises hidden beneath those shining scales - a ladylike voice, and one that knew him at that !

Thankfully, she continued and it became obvious who exactly this happened to be. "Ha !" The sound was, thankfully, amused. "So impressed by my scales that you decided to wear your own ?" That was arrogant in a way and teasing in others, but the laugh revealed that he wasn't really serious.

Well. Maybe a little. Who wouldn't wish to wear scales ? No one, in Ti Lung's mind, through now curiosity had taken over and he found himself moving to look at her from another angle, almost as if he expected something to give the shape-shifted goddess away. She'd never be able to fool another king, he thought, thanks to how familiar they were with each other's mana, but he had to admit the disguise was well done... if on the small side.

"If anything it's because of your brother. He is a bit more impressive after all." The answer was half serious at least, even if her tone was not; Tian Yue had been the one to suggest wearing scales in the first place. Of course she wouldn't tell Xun that it might give too much away!

Her gaze followed Lifewater as he examined her. "Looking for fault or flaw are you?" Personally Trickery thought she had done quite well for her first animal guise. Her gift wasn't perfect however, any tracks she left while in another form were wrong and to a dragon's nose it would be more than clear enough that all was not what it appeared to be.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.A brother, hmmm ? And which one at that ? Zhijian, well, probably wouldn't be the kind of subject something like this, he thought.

Which of his brothers could count as the most impressive ? Tian Yue came to mind immediately - fully his own self and clearly the largest - and through his smile turned impish, he kept the answer for himself.

"Has he, now." It was followed by a low, hmmm-like sound. "Through I am quite glorious, thank you."

"Curiosity, young lady." He corrected her. "I have certainly never seen a god not dragon attempt this, before." While some of his more serious brothers might have been upset by another attempting such a form, Lifewater was very clearly amused. "Through I see little flaws to speak of, if that is what you ask. The feel of the mana is off, but I doubt this is something any of us can control.

Tien suspected something must have 'clicked' when Xun looked like a cat who had caught the canary.

"In your own way, no doubt." She sounded clearly unimpressed and her tail flicked in a somewhat dismissive gesture. Clearly she was egging him on and wondering if he would take the bait. Probably a dangerous game to play with a Dragon King but she was feeling particularly sassy today.

"I was not sure such a thing could be done until I tried for myself."

One did not dare a dragon, for one was likely to be crunchy and to taste good with ketchup. At least, for more serious matters this could be the case. It also helped that this particular dragon did not tilt toward wrath easily, at least not unless truly warranted.

The sensation was clearly one that Tien knew well - a sudden rush of air as there was suddenly a very different form standing where another had been, half a second before. He wasn't much bigger than her, to be told - a large horse to her smaller stature, but he was stockier, and longer in the tail and wings.

...And he'd forgotten to undress again, he noticed belatedly, as he was left to shrug off the remain of fabrics from one leg. "Oh, bother." Poor Lindita. Her work was never ending, through he hardly sounded sorry.

And yes, the smell was quite definitively not dragon to the more sensitive nose.

Hook, line and sinker!

She laughed as Xun shook off the remains of what had once been clothes. Forgetting such things seemed to be a common trait among the kings. It was no wonder all their aoidei seemed to be so busy if they had to mend clothes all the time. Silly dragons!

The goddess stood up and circled Lifewater, looking him over in much the same manner as he had done to her. "At least I don't feel quite so tiny now."
PostPosted: Mon Feb 27, 2012 12:18 pm

"Clothes are so inconvinent." He stated with a mock huff, eager to amuse the little pseudo-wyrmling some more. "Clearly I should simply wear scales only and be done with it, through it so happens that hands are so convinent..."

He allowed himself to be circled much like he had done to her, finned tail wagging back and forth. "Even that brother of mine was once tiny, you know." Yes, it was too obvious that he knew, through he teasingly did not voice the name. And clearly he had once been larger than this, as well, but... ah, not so much so now.

"You seem quite at ease moving on four legs." He said. Clearly this goddess of many shapes had practiced.

"I know." Between her once host and a tiny bit of her own memories anyway.

Tien settled herself in front of him once she was done with her little inspection. It was interesting to see the differences between the brothers when they wore scales. "It took far more practice than I'd care to admit. Though that is the only thing I've mastered in this shape thus far." Being a dragon was a bit more comfortable now that she had gotten used to it somewhat.

The tail had been the cause of most trouble by far, even walking about in her little sanctuary at home it was forever knocking into things or tipping them over. She understood a little better now why Tian Yue complained so much about it at first.

Each brother were indeed different, through it was all the same framework of scales that united them. Some were bright, some ran across the cooler shades of the spectrum.

Of course, Ti Lung preferred his own scales to his beloved brothers'. Conceited, perhaps, but true. Small as it was, he loved his own form, even more so after fearing that these scales might have been gone forever.

"I figure new limbs are confusing for one unused to them." It had not been the case for him, mostly - even if the wings had surprised him. Tail and wings, for this one. Forelegs could easily be treated as arms.

"I can't help but wonder, since I can take this shape, would I be able to fly too?" Trickery knew it was theoretically possible, but played it off otherwise. Perhaps he might offer to help then, to find out if it were true. Mostly what she needed was the knowledge of where to start learning.
PostPosted: Mon Feb 27, 2012 1:55 pm

"Well, your wings look sturdy enough to carry your weight." He said, simply. Really, Tian Yue would have been more suited to teach her... Had it not been for the wings aspect. Really, he wasn't even sure his brother knew how wings truly worked.

And really, he was as curious to see if she could than she seemed, through... "Well, information isn't so easily given, you know." He said, voice turning impish. It was obvious what he was referring to - he was curious who this goddess was, who would go as far to take scales for one of his brothers.

A secret for a secret, as it were. A fair trade, right ?

So, he wanted to play that game, hn?

"See if you can answer me this first- Two bodies have I, though both joined in one. The more still I stand, the quicker I run..." It was just a little test to see how his mind worked, if he answered correctly she would give him a clue as to who she was. It might not be the whole answer, but where was the fun in that!

If he couldn't solve it, well, she would think of something.
