Savassi was hardly what could be considered a bright kid. There was hope for the future, but at least for the time being, he was rather slow. Yet even he could understand that, ideally, cubs were not stuck in holes. He didn’t even know where the hole had come from! And he supposed, over all, it wasn’t too deep.
But it was a hole. And he was in it. He could actually get his paws up on the edge, but it was a bit too high, and the hole too tight for him to actually make the movements necessary to jump out. Actually, he was rather stuck in a standing position. It was a rather tiring position for a quadruped to be in, and he would very much like to get out of this hole.
Being impolite, however, was also unlike Savassi. So instead of shouting, he tried his best to look out of the hole, and tried to ask, nicely, if anyone was around. “Hello? Is anyone there?”

Janga was starting to notice that his siblings... weren't very coordinated. Nor was his father, if he was honest. Nor was he. But... compared to some of the others... he had very steady feet. It made him wonder what was going on with everyone, for such bad things to happen all the time!
Maybe they were cursed.
Trying his best not to get into trouble, careful Janga made his way over the pride lands, padding along with his eyes glued to the path in front of him.
Then, he stopped, hearing something. Someone. "Savassi?" he hummed, following the sound to a hole in the ground. "Why are you in there? You shouldn't be in holes!"

Oh, good! Someone had appeared. He wasn't so sure it was the ideal person to find him, and he didn't know if Janga was really capable of getting him out of a hole. Maybe they could at least chat for a bit. Chatting with brothers was nice. "I dunno! I was jumping on a beetle. Then I was here." He shrugged as well as he could, though the space was pretty tight.
"It's not really so bad. But my feet are getting kind of tired." Savassi didn't really seem too bothered to be in the hole. He hadn't actually been there for very long. "Say, could you help me dig it out a bit? Maybe then I can get out."

"I guess," Janga huffed, as though it would be some kind of burden for him, "but don't go falling in another one if I do!" He slipped over towards the hole, peering inside it to take a good look at his brother.
Very silly.
"Hang on!" He turned around and started to dig, though his hole wasn't close enough to the hole his brother was in to actually be of any use to anyone. All he was really doing was, well, burying Savassi.

"Oh, I won't. I think I've got holes figured out now." He had enough experience, he knew how to avoid them. Probably, anyways. At least Savassi did tend to learn from mistakes, and didn't typically make them more than... thrice. This was his second time in a hole, maybe he'd improve his average, and just go for twice.
He didn't quite understand why his brother turned around to dig him out of the hole, but patiently waited until dirt started flying into his hole to speak. "Um, Janga." He said, turning his chin downwards to avoid dirt getting into his mouth. "Janga, I don't think it's working. If you don't mind, I think maybe you should turn around."

Janga didn't hear him at first, happily marring the dirt. He felt like he was really making progress in digging the hole. Wait, was he supposed to be digging a hole? He had forgotten what he was supposed to be doing. Frowning, he heard his brother speak again, getting back on track.
"Oh right!" the scatter-brained cub chuckled, turning himself around, "I knew that. I was just testing how soft the dirt was."
He started to dig again, this time in the right spot.

"Oh, okay." That seemed like a good idea. He was sure Janga knew how to handle this, now. He even knew to test the dirt first! Savassi shook his head, getting rid of whatever had fallen on his face, and tried to squeeze against the opposite wall from where his brother dug, to facilitate things.
"It's a good thing I don't think I'm in anyone's den. That would be awkward." He mused, as his brother dug. Very awkward. Imagine, falling into the den of a ratel!
