The Kuroda family….
Shehk was only vaguely familiar with the name, though she wasn’t sure where from. Still, it sounded nasty. They were kidnapping people for the hunters. The hunters were actually getting to people from their own side to turn against them…just like the weapons. This wasn’t good news. It wasn’t good news at all.
It worried her.
Had Jericho seen this newest Courier post? She knew he had access to that subforum, but Shehk wasn’t sure she wanted to see what would happen if Riley and Jericho got a hold of that information…especially with how Jericho had been as of late with just the students-as-golems thing. Riley was somewhat more subdued – which calmed her nerves. It was simply that the dragon was much more aggressive and as far as she knew, he was actually likely to do something.
Something that would scare her and put himself in danger. She lingered over her phone for a moment and she typed out a message to the dragon hesitantly.
Have you seen the newest Courier update?
She looked at it for a long time before she bit her lower lip, deleted it, and then, stared more at the information that Shun had posted up. It was sensitive. It needed to be handled delicately. There were a lot of possibilities with what could happen if they acted rashly and…somehow there was a part of her that expected the news would jack up the paranoia level he’d already been expressing.
Biting her lower lip again, she looked back to her phone again. Then back up at the post. Then back down to the phone. She took a deep breath before she stood up and moved to pull a coat on – mild weather or not, this body got cold. Cold made her slow down, unfortunately. Still, she couldn’t help but think that she needed to go over to the monster dorms to make sure nothing happened.
She might not have been hearing voices, but she was getting paranoid – paranoid in her own way.
Not even to the door, the Pricolici finally typed up a message that she knew she was going to have to send and not just wallow pathetically over. Why had she suggested text messages? She hated sending them – too much opportunity to second guess herself. But this was one time she needed to hit send and then get out the door.Quote: JERICHO I NEED YOU ARE YOU IN YOUR ROOM RIGHT NOW? CAN I COME OVER? She probably shouldn’t have sent it in a panicked looking all caps

Luckily, Jericho had not yet checked the Seeds forum. He was just about to. Literally. He had the page up and was signing in. Just as he was about to hit enter for his password, his phone went off with a text. Reaching over, he grabbed the device to see what it was all about and immediately his eyes widened. Panic quickly took him over and within moments he started to text back. Quote: YES. COME. WHAT IS WRONG. ARE THERE HUNTERS!? COME QUICK That done, he got on up and started to look around his room warily. Pointing at his little army of dragon minis, he barked out an order. "STAND GUARD. ASSAULT ANYTHING SUSPICIOUS. DO YOU UNDERSSSTAND US!?"Minis then scrambled all around.

Confirmation. He was there. Good.
Shehk was a pretty fast runner. It was what she did - move quickly and suddenly. So even without breaking out into a dead run - that would have been highly suspicious, after all - she was able to cross the field past the reaper and demon buildings to head into the Monster Dorms in a matter of minutes.
Finding his room was a task she left to her nose. Jericho had a distinct scent to the pricolici, and finding where it overlapped the most in the building was not a difficult task for her, sending message back to him even as she half jogged down the hallway to knock on the door.
"It's me." she added out loud, in case that mattered.

While he waited, Jericho paced back and forth with unease. That text looked like Shehk was in quite a bit of trouble. He thought of rushing to her place, but no, she was already heading to his. When he heard a knock, his wings flared out as he was ready to attack a potential threat on the other side. However, he soon heard her voice.
Relaxing a little, he quickly made his way over and opened up. The dragon's eyes darted here and there.
"Isss there danger? Trouble? Anyone follow you?"

He wasn't the only one to give the hallway a safety check either. Somehow the fact that there was actually a possibility of that type of danger caused her tail to curl slightly, giving her a very passive - almost frightened - demeanor before she stepped into the Dragon's room, making point to close the door as she did.
"I hope nobody followed me." she answered quietly as she took her coat off - Jericho's room was warm enough she didn't need it. That was pleasant, even if her reason for being there wasn't going to give her an opportunity to enjoy it like she would have liked. There was a long pause before she addressed the issue of why she'd needed to come over so quickly, however. "As for danger...... more than ever."
She hated to admit it.

Letting Shehk in once it seemed like the coast was clear, the dragon turned his attention to her, waiting to hear what was wrong. When she mentioned there was a great deal of danger, his eyes widened.
"What do you mean? What's going on? The school. It issssn't under attack is it? Is there somewhere we need to be?" he asked, nervously looking around. More danger? Jericho definitely did not like the sound of that, and this news was certainly feeding into his paranoia. What if there were hunters stationed RIGHT outside the dorm? Putting it under some sort of siege?

He was making her nervous, which ironically was feeding back to him. She'd already amped up his paranoia when that was the opposite of what she was trying to do! It made her feel guilty, to an extent. Reaching out she patted his shoulder. "Easy......" she said, making a point to keep her voice low, despite being behind a closed door. "Right now we're safe....as safe as we can be, anyways."
"This is the safest place we can be right now, Jericho. I..." she bit her lower lip somewhat anxiously. "I'm starting to get scared. Legitimately scared, because I don't know how you're going to react to what has changed. But I also know that if I don't tell you, you'd find out anyways." She scratched at the staples underneath her ear.
"Can you tell me what the surname 'Kuroda' means to you? Are you familiar with it at all?"

Jericho eyed Shehk warily as she told him to take it easy. It was too hard to do that right now, however. Not with the news of danger lurking around the corner, even if they were supposedly safe right now. The question she tossed at him though, came as a bit of a surprise.
It took him a moment, as he was trying to see if he had heard that name before. It did seem vaguely familiar.
"...Perhaps we have heard something in the news once.." he murmured, though it didn't sound very solid.

She hadn't exactly been expecting him to suddenly calm down just because she asked him to. That would have been too easy and probably let her not worry about what was going on half as much. She probably wouldn't have even been involved in that case.
"I'm not that familiar with it either." she admitted, still frowning. "It's some sort of Cartel from what I've gathered? But the point is, they're..." oh man, how did she put this gently, "they're in league with the Hunters." she finally managed, her voice dropping to be even more quiet as she spoke further, "We're in danger from our own side, now."

Jericho thought on it some more, but he didn't manage to dig up anything else. Not right now at least. He didn't have to anyway, seeing how the news was given to him right then and there. His eyes widened at this.
"WHAT?! How is thissss possible?! Why is our own people working with the Huntersss?" he snarled out angrily. Though, there was some fear mixed into that as well. This was insane, and it didn't make sense to him. There had to be more to this than what was being said right now.
"What else do you know? How did you find this out?"

This wasn't as bad as she'd been expecting reaction wise, but he was right - she hadn't told him everything. Still, she flinched away from him as he yelled, not liking the reaction any more than she already didn't. Should she have just let him read the notice himself and things happen from there? She couldn't even begin to stop thinking about every possible response he'd have to the full news.
It entirely wasn't good news to have going around.
"Shun found out about it." she answered. "He shared it on the Courier Forum...if you want to...." the pricolici slowly looked towards the dragon's computer, nodding in its general direction. "Read, but...don't post anything yet...alright?" That was the part she was worried about. What Jericho would post, what he would do.
That's why she was there, wasn't it?

Jericho's eyes narrowed at this, but didn't say anything. Instead, he hurried on to his computer and finished signing onto the Seeds forum. It didn't take him long to find the thread detailing all of this. Nor did it take him long to read it through. And when he did, he was definitely not a happy dragon.
"Tiamat's s**t. Tiamat's s**t. SELLING STUDENTS!? WHO THE ******** WOULD DO THAT!?" he roared, just about ready to flip his desk. Thankfully, it was actually pretty heavy duty so it wasn't going to be flipped without a decent amount of effort. He made sure of this when he got the thing.
"Shun seems to know a lot... Maybe too much" he snarled.

This was about on par for what she'd been expecting to an extent too, flinching away from the Red Dragon again in some mix of fear and uncertainty. She needed to do something. The yelling was what got her, though. Jericho probably didn't know just how well his voice carried - it pierced her ears like a cheese grater on her brain.
"Jericho! Shhhhhhh!" she knew it wouldn't work. "You're going to scare anybody who hears you!" Were his walls soundproofed? She was really hoping they were right then, because he could have alerted half of Amityville with his volume.
"Yes, I agree he does know a lot. But he wouldn't have told us if he didn't have a good reason." She was sure Shun probably had a very quiet way of moving if he'd passed the Horseman's trial. It had only taken her..a lot of tries to do so as well, and it seemed to require near silence. She didn't doubt he could have stalked the situation from afar. "So don't go off accusing him of anything until we find out anything more. I just..."
Shehk scratched the back of her head and trailed off. "Can I ask you to make me a promise?"

Snarling still, Jericho was moving a little erratically. It was as if he was about to thrash about, but was reining himself in to some extent. He still wasn't very trusting of the Reaper who posted, and he had half a mind to go barging to find the guy to try and get some answers out of him.
"How are you ssssso sure?" he growled while glaring at the Pricolici.
"What promissse iss this? Depending on what it is, we may go with it."

She almost growled back as a defense response, watching him and folding her arms. "I'm sure because this isn't the first time someone has told me something because my safety was at risk." she answered firmly. He knew what she was talking about. It was the only reason why she had thought to come there as was to make sure things were kept an even keel.
"I want you to promise me you don't do anything stupid with this new knowledge. I don't want you to act hastily and then put us all in danger because they know we know about them."
