You've got two options when it comes to making characters.
Option one_: You can become a Trainer
Option two_: You can become a Pokemon
Trainer Guidelines_:
If you become a Trainer, you have the choice of being a regular old trainer, a Gym Leader, or an Elite Four member. In order to become a Gym Leader or Elite Four member, just claim it in your profile. It's first come, first serve, so claim your spot quickly!
If you become a Pokemon, you can become anything you want, shiny, or not shiny. You can live anywhere you want, except for space (unless for Deoxys or Rayquaza!). And if a Trainer tries to catch you, you gave the option of whether they catch you or not. And trainers, if this happens, you don't lose your Pokeball. There can only be one of each legendary, and it's auto-claim, so claim it now to make sure you can get it.

Catching Pokemon_:
When catching a Pokemon, first of all, you must have Pokeballs, which can be purchased at you're local Pokemart. Each Pokeball has a higher chance of catching a Pokemon. Here's how it works.
Generate a random number between one and ten, and if the number matches, then the Pokemon is caught, here are the chances.
Normal Pokeball_: If the number is a 1, 3, 4, or 8, the Pokemon is caught
Great Ball_: If the number is a 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, or 8, the Pokemon is caught
Great Ball_: If the number is a 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, or 10, the Pokemon is caught
Master Balls always work (unless you're catching a Pokemon that is played by a real person. Don't worry, you won't lose it).

PC Boxes
Use the PC box to store your Pokemon that aren't being used. To access the PC, go to the Pkmn PC Boxes Subforum, and create a new thread entitled "So and so's PC Box." Then you can list all the Pokemon that you've got in there, and just edit it as you deposit and withdraw Pokemon. wink
