It's like Pokemon but with Gaia animals. You need a Facebook account to play, though. :B

Nope. There is an iPhone app for Gaia as well as one for Monster Galaxy but they are not the same.
Monster Galaxy was made for Facebook, which decided to make an app for it. It's one of the most successful games there! Gaia's iPhone app is just that - an app for Gaia on the iPhone.
