The sun was rising, Koios rose with it. He stared out of his den at the large flat area surrounding them. The grass moved slowly as a light breeze strolled across the field like terrain. He lifted his head gentally and heaved in a big breath. Much to his demise his moment was shortened by choking on a small bug and tumbling during the whole moment. Dirty and a mouth full of bug Koios walked away from the safety of his home, defeated and curious about the small world around him. He took to the pride and began seeking.. well anything.
Koios was disappointed, he didn't see many faces about yet, and those that were up were diligantly moving about working on their own tasks, no time for a cub that was curiously eying the tasks as they were being done. He smiled at them from time to time, but created a task for himself. His siblings were fun and all, but he was sure there were others he could be playing with.
He kept on moving, determined.

Nimbe stepped out of her den with a very unladylike yawn, yellow eyes looking for the green shape of her father. The young cub frowned as she realized she’d both missed his early departure and the sunrise and she was equally annoyed for both. More annoying was the fact that someone else seemed to have decided to go outside without inviting her to come along! Odd, she could’ve sworn all her brothers were still asleep.
“Jua! Jua, did you see daddy leave? Jua! Where are you going?” she ran after her “brother” and gave him a not-so-light pat on the back before realized there was strange amount of black in the other cub. “You’re not… Jua.” She hopped back at once. No one could blame for being a little cautious when it came to cubs outside her family after what had happened the other day, after all.

Koios was continung his stroll when a very disgruntled female cub stepped out of her den. She was a bright, lime green and had very creative markings. He smiled slightly, but didn't pause as it seemed she was looking for someone, and that someone wasn't him. He had ignored it as much as he could until he walked passed and he got a pretty good pat from a young, but heavy paw. He turned around, startled as she was and stared hard.
"My name is Koios!" He says, still startled, but trying to be polite. He smiled slowly and watched her reaction, he was ableto get a better look at her now without getting in trouble for staring. Her pelt was beautiful, all the colors complimented each other and made her appealing to the young males eyes, though it was obvious she carried a bit of an attitude and need for attention.
"Who are you?"

Ah, well… he seemed a lot nicer than that other cub whose name Nimbe had already forced herself to forget. Koios, huh? He could easily pass as one of her brothers.
“I’m sorry, I thought you were my brother. He’s white, too.” Now that she took a good look at him, she could see the obvious differences between Koios and her pale brother. Those bright green eyes especially caught her attention. “I’m Nimbe! Did you see a green lion when you were coming here? He had a purple mane.” Honestly, just how early did her father leave sometimes? It was nearly impossible for the young cub to wake up in time to give him a goodbye nuzzle and to wish him a good day.

Koios wished he could help the female out, but green.. with a purple mane? He tried his hardest recall seeing such a lion, but was unable too. "I'm sorry, I don't remember one? It's nice to meet you though Nimbe." He smiled again, taking a look at himself quickly to see if he could match himself with her markings. He didn't know her brother.
"Who is the green lion?" He asked, curious about why she was seeking out the lion. He was sure the lion would turn out to be someone related to her. Cubs often only knew thier family.

“Oh, he’s my dad. He leaves in the morning sometimes and I wanted to say goodbye but I have trouble waking up so early.” Nimbe smiled as her initial caution slowly eased up. Koios seemed trustworthy enough and clearly not the type to be mean. She’d had enough of that and while she was eager to make some female friends – not that she dislike being daddy’s only little girl, mind you – Nimbe was also rather curious about Jua’s lookalike.
“Where were you going, Koios? Can I go, too?” It was rare for the cub to move too far from her den but it would be okay if she wasn’t alone, right? And they weren’t going anywhere dangerous like the borders… right? “Why are you alone? Do you have brothers and sisters? Where is your den?”

Koios smiled knowingly. He didn't have a Father, but his mother was a motivated one that often left before dawn and returned late. "Yeah, getting up early is a come and go experience." He said, not his own words, he heard it somewhere before, but couldn't remember where. "I don't usually like getting up to early, but today is a nice day to be up before the sun meet sthe middle of the day." A breeze continued it's path around them, not strong enough to make his pelt move, but he was comforted by it's cool embrace.
"I don't really know where I'm going, but ofcourse you can come with me!" Another friend, oh he was simply over joyed! He hadn't had much interactions outside of his brothers and sisters and he treasured when he had the chance of it. "I had a chance to wander out, my brothers and sisters were still sleeping I think? Our home isn't far from here." He smiled, taking a second to recall all her questions, hoping he answered them.

“You talk funny!” Nimbe said with a cubbish giggle, batting at the air playfully. “Let’s go see Pride Rock then!” It was always a beautiful sight in the majestic rock formation was bathed in the morning light. Nimbe never got tired of it.
“Wait…” she was already happily following the white cub when his words sunk in and she looked at Koios’ green eyes expectantly. “I only have four brothers…, can you introduce me to your sisters later?” Oh, this was the perfect opportunity! How often would she get the chance to meet some girls that might even look like one of her brothers? Surely, they wouldn’t make fun of her!

Koios smiled awkwardly, a blush sidling across his cheeks. "I didn't think I talked that funny." He spoke slowly, but the blush faded quickly as she brought up the pride rock, what an idea! "That sounds fantastic!" His smiled straightened and he turned away from her in the direction of the rock. It was a great thought to set a paw on the stone of their very ancesters! His head was in the clouds when she spoke again. He looked back at her, assuming she had followed and listened.
"Of course I can show you them!" He said happily. He was sure they'd enjoy that as much as Nimbe seemed to be excited at the mere thought of meeting females. "They're real nice." He said, slowly turning his head back to see where they were headed.

The green cub’s eyes shone brightly as she looked at Koios again. She was so lucky to have found him! Not only did he like her suggestions but he seemed to happy about introducing her to his family.
“Really?” she asked brightly as if to confirm it, most of her usual confidence completely returning. “You’re so lucky, Koios! You have brothers and sisters!” She spoke as if her family was really small, which honestly wasn’t true. As she grew, Nimbe would probably realize she had enough brothers to watch the back of their only sister to make up for having her mother as the sole female representative of her close family. And now she was quite taken with this boy. Not only was he was nice and helpful but he was even pretty cool-looking… his right side was different from his left side, how cool was that?!
“Mmmmm…” she froze abruptly, looking around with a confused expression at the tall trees that blocked her view from the majestic landscape. “Pride Rock is that way, I think… but I don’t know the right path… I think it’s that way…?”

Koios was filled up with giggles and he let them out all at once, Nimbe was an amusing spectacle to behold in his opinion. Even with a young mind he could see the brilliance and steady excitement behind her eyes and it brought out a certain adventurousness in him that he couldn't seem to control, at this time anyhow. "You can meet all of my family at some point.. I'm sure they'd be more than welcoming!" He smiled broadly
"I guess my family.. does make me lucky." He said this slowly, letting the statement process, he took a moment to think about the blank space of an idol he spent a whole few minutes wishing he had. The place of his Father was missing, but he knew his family wouldn't let something like that take to big of an effect. It was in his silent moments he looked her over, her bright green pelt gleamed and almost sparkled in the early morning sun. "I think you're right..." He began walking in the direction she pointed out.
"By the way, I love your fur." He smiled at her, an earnest look from an innocent little being. He was purely sincere.

Nimbe giggled as well. She wanted to look confident and composed but it was hard not join in the good-natured sounds of happiness. The fact that Koios always seemed to agree with her wasn’t exactly making him lose any favor with the green cub either. At his comment about her fur, Nimbe went very still and she eyed Koios’ smile from the corner of her, a light frown shadowing her bright eyes for an instant before her expression lightened up again.
“Thank you! You’re pretty cute yourself.” She gave the male cub a wide smile that faded quickly. While she did try to act self-assured, the encounter with the other cub a few days before still bothered her greatly and while Koios seemed to be doing a great job at bringing her back to her usual level of confident excitement, she couldn’t help but to feel a little… well, touched. It was the first time someone from outside the family had complimented her coat.
“Ah… I’ll race you there.” She said quickly, though her chest felt a little too tight for sprinting. She ginned, her yellow eyes bright. “Let’s go, Koios!”
((Depending on what he says, this might be her last post =3 ))

Koios looked at her, for a brief moment she seemed hurt, vulnerable. Not the confident female he thought he’d met, but the confidence soon came back and she was back to normal. Enjoying their time together and all in all happy-go-lucky. All he could do was hope it hadn’t been something he’d said to her. “Thank you!” He blushed from ear to ear, a girl, a girl had called him cute! “She called me.. cute.” He said, mumbling to himself under his breath.
Then all of a sudden she was off like a rocket, claiming a race! The excitement that had stilled briefly in his limbs was back full force. He boomed after her, small cubby paws clambering at full speed making a dash to catch up.
"Bet chyeah I’ll win!” He laughed happily. Then the worst that could have happened did. The sun, once high in the sky during their conversation was reaching midday. His Mother would want him home, and soon. “I’m sorry Nimbe.” He slowed to a stop just behind her, he spoke sadly, but had a twinkle in his eye as he looked upon her. “I have to go home, my Mom will be looking for me, surely.” He wasn’t sour about it, he knew the rules and he liked to touch base. “We can play again can’t we? Maybe next time we will make it to Pride Rock, now that we know eachother and all.” He laughed lightly.
It seemed they spent all that time just getting to know one another.

Nimbe laughed as she ran until she was almost out of breath but the green cub didn’t want to be the first to stop. So she wasn’t too sad when Koios told her he had to return and she took the break gladly, panting heavily. She hadn’t said anything to her mother or her brothers before leaving so it wasn’t a bad idea to return as well. Someone might actually be looking for her.
“Okay, next time we’ll definitely make it to Pride Rock.” They hadn’t managed to get very far. Maybe she should ask her father about the best path to the kingly landscape. “Don’t forget you have to introduce me to your sisters… and your brothers too, I guess.” She giggled, apparently in perfectly good spirits now. “Bye, Koios!”
