Making his way to the training area. Jason had finaly gotten the nerve to try and do some practice...by using the training dolls. No, he didn't want to have a go at the training courses...just yet. He really was going to do them!
Only when he felt more comfortable.
"No it wont..." The trainee mumbled out loud as he approached a unused doll. "Besides, it would be more beneficial if I just practice swinging you around and gain some experience, before I go against something that could get me injured." It sounded logical to him anyway. Though as he stood in front of the doll, he realized something...
...."zanthvos.."
"...how do I summon you?"
<....hmmm...good question> There was a slight chuckle in his head, and jason knew that this was going to be a pain...

He was back on the training fields - yet again - and Gale was feeling quite cheerful for once. He had slept well, he hand't gotten into a squabble with anyone, and he had done well during his last few missions and battles. He'd even beaten Marcus, which was a feat in and of itself.
A voice several feet away dragged Gale out of his target practice, however, and he glanced up to find a young, blonde man standing in front of one of the dummies, looking a bit confused. Brows drawing together, Gale stepped over towards him.
"It's Jason, isn't it?" he asked, recalling the name from the pod room on his mental list of new trainees. "You need help with anything? You're looking a bit..er, lost."

Oh crap. Not only was he not sure how to summon his own weapon, but as he stood there looking stupid, another Hunter had come around to offer him assistance. Not that he wasn't thankful for it, but he was sure that asking another hunter how to summon their weapon was like asking a policeman how to draw their gun.
"Y-yes!" Jason almost jumped to attention when Gale had approached. "W-wait, no I'm...ah" He looked at the dummy for a few seconds before turning back to the older hunter nervously. "N-not at the moment, sir. I'm just..practicing...G-give me a sec"
Oh god oh god zanthvos tell how to summon you right now please pleas
The weapon replied into his head.
Nodding to the directions. The trainee sighed and did as he told, holding up his hand
...do I really have to do this
And then Jason shouted as loud as he could; "MOON. PRISIM. POOWWEERRR!"

What was it with people calling him sir? Gale felt his cheeks heat a little, idly twisting the ring on his left index finger, beneath the wrappings. Dressed in a pair of sweats and a teeshirt, he had been working on his physical abilities (or lack thereof) this time, rather than taking his gun out to practice firing. He was good at that (for the most part). What he wasn't could at it was most of the hand-to-hand combat.
Jason seemed to be having a bit of internal conversation, so Gale waited patiently while he spoke, and then -
"MOON. PRISM. POOWWEERRR!"
Gale stared.
"Uh," he said. "what."

The seconds that ticked by felt like a absolute eternity to the sun trainee hunter, and he wondered, as he stood there with his hand in the air, if he could have done anything more stupid. Was it possible? Maybe, maybe not.
Regardless, he found some relief in that instance. He could not focus on Gales reaction, cause His weapon was laughing that dam loud, he couldn't even think, nor react. All he could do was stand there with a frown on his face.
Until he snapped.
"ZANTHVOS WILL YOU JUST SHUT UP AND COME OUT HERE!" He waved his arm around in a manic fashion. "DAMMIT YOU STUPID SWO-OMPH"
At that precise moment, his weapon decided that he better obey his master (since he had no other option), and he materialized in his hand. However, Jason had just brought it down, which had resulted in him slamming the blade right into the head of the dummy. He cursed, flexing his hand to make sure it still worked, then turned to Gale and acted as if he had totally meant to do that.
"...So..." He said awkwardly, trying to pretend that his sword wasn't stuck "...Hows training going?"

For quite a long few moments the two of them just stood there staring blankly at one another. Gale was still trying to figure out what the heck moon prism power meant, and clearly Jason was bemused by the whole situation.
"Er," said Gale, but at that moment the other began yelling, and Gale took an automatic step back, pressing his lips together in amusement with an attempt not to smile. There was a flash of fuzzy light and the weapon finally appeared - a long, glimmering silver sword - that was promptly stuffed straight into the dummy's face.
"That's, er..." said Gale, eyeing it. "Quite the aim you have there."
His gaze traveled the length of the sword. It was really very nice looking, with all sorts of intricate detailing along the hilt, although Jason was looking slightly awkward. Gale offered him a slight smile.
"Training is doing fine," he said. "I'm, er...doing what I can, I suppose. How about you? Did you need, er...any help with sparring or anything?"

Well, at least Gale wasn't laughing his a** off at him. That was something to be positive about.
"T-thats good to hear" Jason Replied, feeling a little more at ease. "I'm...umm, well I'm...learning the basics, I guess." He returned the smile awkwardly, trying not to glance behind at his sword. "I haven't had much practice yet..." Nor did he have a clue as to what he was doing, but that was beside the point.
When Gale asked if he needed any help, he had to pause for a moment to think about it. Did he need help?
...there was no point in trying to delude himself, but should he-
Shooting a glare behind him, he turned back to Gale. " N-now that you mention it...I would be very thankful if you could...er, offer a few pointers?"

"The basics are good," said Gale, with a small tilt of his head, still eyeing the sword a bit warily. Swords always reminded him of Marcus and that reminded him of how Marcus always seemed to have the upper hand on him. It was never easy sparring with someone who's weapon was so vastly different from your own, after all, especially when one was a sword and one was a gun.
Gale gave a small shrug of his shoulders.
"We can try a spar, if you'd like. I can tell you what I know."

The chance to spar with a senior hunter was invaluable to Jason. Not only would he get a practical lesson in how to fight, but he could hone his own abilities. It was a opportunity he couldn't miss.
"That would be great!" He replied, turning around to deal with the task of removing his sword. Grasping the hilt, he began to pull. And pull. And pull some more. Eventually he placed a boot on the dummy for extra leverage as he yanked on it with all his strength, before it suddenly came lose and sent him flying backwards.
...Yeah, he was a real pro at this.
"O-okay..." He faced Gale once again, feeling his face flush in embarrassment. "Right..." He held his sword out in front of him, not quite sure how was supposed to do this.

Gale watched, with some amusement, Jason's struggle, but he made no move to help him. It was partially out of respect for the other hunter and partially because it wouldn't do to help him out - it was something he had to learn to do on his own.
"You first," said Gale, and summoned Jinhai, the sniper rifle appearing in his hands.
"Show me what you've got."

The sun trainee paused, eyes widening when he realized he was fighting someone who was armed. With a rifle. Wasn't it common sense to not fight someone who could just pull a trigger and kill you? He was having second thoughts about it
"W-what? you can't be serious..."
"..Okay..." With a sigh, he steaded his nerves, and then charged forwards, lifting the sword over one shoulder then bringing it down in a downwards arc.

"Don't worry," said Gale, catching the look on Jason's face. "The bullets won't hurt you. Well," he amended, shaking his head a bit. "Not in the way they normally would. You've still got your protective FEAR shield from your own weapon. Until that breaks, I can't do heavy damage."
The sword came flashing towards him, slashing a nice line down Gale's arm as he stumbled sideways, trying to move out of the direct way. He felt the pain twang up and down his body, and gave a nod, swinging Jinhai up.
"Good," he said. "Don't hesitate about hitting me, and don't hold back."
He kicked his foot out, connecting with one of Jason's legs, and shoved the older hunter back away, moving several steps to his right.
"Don't think of me as a hunter, think of me as a Halloween creature."

Jason relaxed once Gale informed him that the bullets would hurt, but they would not kill him. This was a huge relief to him, knowing that his life wasn't in-
And then, his leg was pulled out from underneath him and sent him to the floor. Caught off guard, he groaned in protest as his back ached from having a nice meeting with the floor.
Zanthvos could help but add in his own comments.
As much as it annoyed him, His weapon as fight, so he got to his feet again. Right, so he needed to think of him as a halloween creature...
Jason was going to ignore him for now and try to get close enough to Gale so he could land a hit, however since the other had put some distance, he ended up swinging wide.

It was slightly awkward, fighting with a rifle against someone who had a sword, but it was not as if he hadn't done that before - Marcus immediately came to mind, though Marcus' swings were all precise and confident, whereas Jason's were a bit uncertain and hesitant.
The sword flashed out again, and Gale leapt nimbly back, the blade missing his stomach by several feet. He swung the gun around, skittered back several more steps, and leveled the rifle against his shoulder, took aim, and fired.
The bullets exploded from the end of the gun, careened forward, and collided with Jason's lower torso.
"Oh, and don't leave your guard down."

With his sword flying wide, Jason nearly spun around as he struggled to bring his blade back, the item not that heavy but his momentum kept him moving. With a sigh, he focused back on his opponent and realized that Gale was a few feet away now, with his rifle on his shoulder.
The moon hunter looked like a deer in headlights, the force of the bullets hitting his FEAR shield and through to his body. He stumbled backwards with the force of the shot, his hand clutching the spot on his chest were they had struck and just making sure he he wasn't about to die from a gun shot. No, there were no holes, but dam did it hurt like a b***h.
"Y...yes sir." Jason replied, knowing that Gale was right, he had to keep his guard up (although how he was going to guard against bullets he had no idea). With sword in hand, he glanced at the rifle warily as he tried to get closer to the hunter, stepping quickly to Gales side and slicing the sword across the hip.
