She felt the blood pumping through her veins. It made her feel alive. The further she went, the more the blood began to resound in her ears. She took a deep breath, and flexed her paws which were now on the cold stones that made up the Stormborn. She had heard of them. She mainly figured it was a good way to release pent up aggression. Though she was not against finding a home. The demons just hadn't been what she had been expecting. She was looking for her sister too, and word had it that she was roaming these parts.
The purple lioness stretched out her body, and then shook to relax her muscles. She could smell the pride barrier, and it made her nervous. There went the sound of blood in her ears again. She had made it where she was trying to get, and now she had a bit of a dilemna on her hands.
What did she do now?

Fresh to the pride and feeling the urge to prove his worth as a green Reaver, Hinoko took his border patrol duties quite seriously. Not only did it give him time alone to think about the path his life had taken, but it also gave him an outlet for the utter excitement that he felt coursing through his veins. It was fantastic to be in such a pride where things like strength and duty were honored. Catching a stranger's scent - female, from the spicy-sweetness that carried on the breeze - Hinoko bristled with excitement. As he made his way towards the origination of the fragrance, Hinoko couldn't help but feel on edge. Would he lose the coming spar? Would he win so that he could return home and boast of his honor? He came upon the female, a lovely pale plum. Hinoko snarled as if announcing his presence. He was here. Let the fight begin.

The growl had caught her off guard, and she whipped her head around and narrowed her eyes. She wasn't sure who the male was but he was intimidating, and something told her that an attack was going to happen. First she wondered if she had done something wrong to deserve the threat. It only took a moment though for her to remember the way to join the pride she had sought out.
"Well.. finding an opponent was easier than I had thought." She said, her hackles rising as she stared at him. Her eyes were the color of blood and they held the promise of such things.

Hinoko snorted, loudly. He narrowed his eyes at the female, almost amused by her demeanor. So feisty. It was refreshing, really to have come across such a female. Hackles up, eyes spitting fire. It was both amusing and beautiful.
Such a pity he would have to harm her.
Hinoko was not one for fancy words or speaking when words were not needed. The large lion shot forward, one broad fist sweeping out to lash against the female's head. If she was quick, she would move. If not?
Pain.

He didn't speak. He hadn't said one word to her before he snorted and and charged her. Her eyes widened, and she gulped. Her demon training had given her enough speed to manage to try to get away. Though his paw was large, and it was harder to escape a large paw coming after you. It caught her in the cheek, and she cried out before looking at him once more. She growled, having finally gotten serious, and raised her lip.
She lowered her body, launching herself at him like a mighty bird. However she hadn't realized she had timed herself wrong. She knew this was dangerous, and she did her best to grab hold of him.

That feeling of impact was so thrilling to Hinoko. He was never raised as a fighter. He'd never lifted his paw to a female in his life... but there was a certain thrill that tickled his throat when it came down to it. Was it the domination of putting a female in her place? Not necessarily. There were Reaver females far stronger than he. Was it the fear the gleamed in her eyes the instant before his paw struck her?
Absolutely.
When she failed to grab a hold of him, Hinoko growled deep in his throat. An instant later, his jaws were open and moving for the back of her neck so that he could pin her.

When she landed, it was only an instant before she felt his teeth try to close down on the back of her throat. She tried to throw him off, possibly looking more like a bronco rather than the feline she was. But she could not release his hold on her. She growled lowly, stilling her body since unless he let her go.. There was likely little chance she would succeed in pulling herself free.
She wasn't going to lie, if she hadn't been pissed off that he had actually managed to pin her.. She likely would have been turned on by the brute strength, and the animalistic way he had. But she was angry, she had hurt the very best thing about her. Her pride.

There was a thrill that burned through his veins when the lioness settled. He had her where he wanted her, and had this been some sort of mating ritual it was likely that he'd have won, then and there. However, this was no mating ritual, and she was coming up something of a disappointment.
"You'll have to try harder, kitten," he purred a moment after releasing her scruff from his powerful jaws, moving backwards with a look of disinterest on his face. She was offering up no sort of fight, nothing of a challenge.
"Much harder. Come."
His voice was oddly cultured, each syllable perfectly enunciated. Claws were quickly unsheathed as he waited for her next attack.

She growled low in her throat when he spoke to her. Condescending and as if she had completely given up. Never! She'd never fully give up, she would merely wait for the chance to get back. Though he did it on purpose, this was the moment she had been waiting for. When he released her, like a shot she pulled away from him as he pulled away from her. She glared him down, standing in front of him with her head low and her body in an obviously ready mode.
His words, as velvety as they could have been to her if given at any other time, only served to piss her off further. She was quite aware of the attraction she had to him.. It was likely because he hadn't run off already and was proving to hold his own. A strong male indeed. But why the hell did it have to be aimed at her? Usually she absolutely adored the male attention.
She swiped at him, both paws in the air. She was standing on her hind legs, batting at him with a snarl on her maw. Then she lunged at him, hoping to collide and manage to get a good bite in somewhere.

Any swats that she did manage to land were more of an annoyance than anything else. Hinoko was not impressed. The first time he'd come to this pride he had given everything he could in the spar - and he'd won. He'd been victorious, proud. He'd been accepted into the pride as a brother.
This female, as beautiful and delicious as she might appear, was not trying her hardest. It was something of a let down, honestly. Perhaps if she'd been trying harder Hinoko's next attack might've missed. It was hard to say, and by this point in time Hinoko knew that he was going to win this battle.
"Again," he hissed shortly after pushing her away, nicking his claws across her chest. "I am starting to believe you do not have the hunger needed to find your place here, my sweet little flower. Come."

She was beyond speaking. She was beyond taunt. She was filled with a blinding red rage she had never seen within herself before. She was sure it was her demon rising up within her. After all she wasn't sure it would ever leave her for good. But the demon could do little inside her, when she obviously was no match for the larger male.
In her rage, she began to make those stupid little mistakes that had this been real, likely would have cost the young lioness her life. Her inexperience in the battling field had shown today, and she could not face such an observation.
She snarled, running at him, fully prepared to tear into him. Or at least bulldoze through him.

Of course she would run at him like some sort of hellcat. It could not be helped. She was obviously not in control of the emotions that fueled her - this would undoubtedly be her downfall at this juncture. Her delicious submission would be his and his alone.
When she charged at him, Hinoko threw out a paw. The muscled appendage caught her across the throat, and for a moment Hinoko reveled in any sounds she might make. A beautiful thing, that small strangled symphony. In his next movement, Hinoko slammed the pretty female down on her side, moving to place his paw across her throat.
He watched her, expressionless, for a long moment.
"A waste of time," he snapped, slipping his paw up her throat to slap her on the cheek with his claws. "Perhaps next time you will be more prepared." With a final snort, Hinoko removed his paw from her throat before backing away, clearly finished.

Her rage having been her fuel, had also been her downfall. She had not been prepared for the paw to shoot out and catch her.. To knock her over and force her to the earth. She had not expected the lack of breath when his paw came down on her throat to hold her there.
She looked up at him with anger in her eyes, though the defeat was also visible. She had given up. She had not been able to beat the larger male, and it had been a sobering experience.
When he lifted his paw, she gasped, breathing in, and breathing deep. When he slapped her, the reaction he got was simply a flinch. She was defeated, though she knew deep down she was not done. She rolled onto her belly, and stood.
"You had best be ready for my return." She growled, before darting off into the shadows. She had lost the battle, but she would not lose the war.
