Commonly Used Terms:
-RP: roleplay; Done on message boards, people make their own character and play them in a set of rules laid down by forum moderators. All actions and descriptions, abilities and powers, are at the mercy of the player playing the role, and are described in text.
-RPer: roleplayer; a roleplayer is a person, who takes a role on a certain type of character.
-OOC: Out Of Character; a term used in roleplay when a person wants to step outside of their character for a minute and speak as themselves.
-P.O.V.: common term in fan fiction forums, meaning: Point Of View. This term is used, when writing a story from a particular character’s point of view.
-RPC: roleplaying character; a user's original character created to act out the story described by the roleplay itself.
-Godmodding: A term used in role-playing games or situations that describes someone as using an over powered emote that allows them to feat any RP obstacle thrown at them.
-Metagaming: A common term used in Role-Playing game that tells real life details or something that goes beyond the limits or environment set by the game.
-NPC: Non-Player Character; in general, any character (human or otherwise) in an RP, a character that is controlled by a moderator
