Guifi:
Guifi was pretty good at going about his own business and flying under most lions radars. He tended to keep to him self for the most part. The issue had never been shyness but an aloofness.

The sun was starting to dip down beyond the horizon making the beach the perfect time to wonder. All kinds of strange things tended to turn right at dusk. Once he'd found a horse shoe crab shell with a strange clam shell thing latched to it. All sorts of interesting things washed up on these beaches, you just never knew.

And thats why he sat in the tide and waited expectantly for the ocean to cough up the goods.

Miakis:
And night time was magical even for the more simplistic of minds. Every day felt like a new one, and in her mind it truely was. She didn't reconize any but the oldest of pride members and while some found it charming, others had written her off as one of the unfortunate few that had retained their insanity. Perhaps it was true or pershaps it was an affliction that had come apart from the goddess' curse- either way it was there and it wasn't going anywhere.

Miakis darted after the water, slapping it with a paw a moment before turning tail and screaming as the ocean rose up, lapping at her heels and sending her reeling with a wave splashing into her backside. A moment later- she repeated the action. A moment later, the sea struck back.

Guifi:
An ear flicked. Splashing..? The lion turned his head only to be greeted by sprays of water from the strange lionesses antics. Guifi fell to his side, crashing to the wet sand and ocean tide.

It took him a moment to really figure out what just happened. Slowly he got to his paws and gave a mighty shake, freeing him self of the wetness. He wasn't entirely sure he wanted to know what the lioness was up to or not. But, against his better judgement, he padded on over to her. His brow was lifted in curiousity and confusion.

"Miss?....."

Miakis:
The lioness yelped and whipped around. She was soaked from head to toe, dripping from her ears and chin, and pooling in the sands under her. Apparently this had been going on for quite a good deal of time.

She glanced to the younger male and tipped her head. "OH. Hi. What are you doing there? How long have you been there?"

Guifi:
She was soaking wet and to be honest, Guifi was a little amused. A smile wanted to twitch its way on the lions maw but Guifi's face remained riddled with confusion. Even more so after the questioning was turned on to him. His jaw hung open for just a moment.

"...What?" He shook his head and gathered a serious look which looked off considering he was also wet and covered in sand. "I-I was ... looking for things." The vague answer was all his brain could muster after such confusion. He shook his head and tried to unscramble his brain.

"Your wet," He finally stated.

Miakis:
She looked down to herself, back at him, then back down to herself. "...you're right! I am... uh. Oh maybe I shoud rinse off. I'm all sandy too."

She looked up and grinned. "....you're looking for something?"

Guifi:

Guifi:
He gave her a brow raise and finally let a smile snake its way across its maw. "I guess you do," He stated matter of factly. He had not yet once acknowledged the fact that he him self was also probably in need of a rinse. It was entirely possible that Guifi had yet to notice.

But before much more could be said the male felt a sting on his paw. He let out a bit of a yelp and lifted his paw to find some sort of lumpy jelly like creature down before him. He took a step back only to yelp again. Another lumpy jelly thing had washed up to shore. They almost looked like blatters.

"WHAT !! THE!?" He jumped to the side. Two of his paws were itching and stinging now though so he ended up falling to his side in to the sand with little to no support from his paws when he landed.

Miakis:
She snorted and started for the water, her paws brushing through the cool seafoam until a fresh wave slapped at her chest. She sprang upwards once more and tore up the beach for a good shake-out. She felt a lot better but now, again, there was sand in her toes.

She lifted a paw to see to that but before she could so much as stick her tongue out, the male was screaming. Her eyes went wide and she was on guard, looking around for the cause of his panic.

"OH NO. The monsters! They're back aren't they!?"

Guifi:
Guifi was licking at his paw now. The stinging feeling would not disappear though. Slowly, he made his way to his four paws, looking more like a sand monster then a lion. Now he was in need of a good bath.

"Monsters...?" He eyed the sea blatter looking things, "They look more like food but feel like a wasps sting. What kind of a thing looks like food but stings like a wasp?" Guifi was legit concerned. He still didn't seem to really notice how dirty he was. There were evil sea blatter monsters on the loose.

Miakis:
"Oh!" She walked over, obviously having no love or respect for personal space, and pressed in a little closer and leaned down over the goopy little thing.

"This...this is very serious." She dropped her hind quarters down to the ground and reached out to take his paw for inspection. "You touched... a globby goop. They bite with their butts. Very serious."

Guifi:
"....."

This was serious news. There was a creature that existed that could bite with their butts. A mighty lion had just been bitten by a biting butt creature goopy gloppy blatter thing.

"....How serious....?" The question finally came un choked from his thoat.

Miakis:
Her expression was deadpan as she looked up. "Really. really serious. It might turn you into one of them. That's how they breed you know...they don't have any other way! They bite you with their butts. The first thing that happens is it hurts, then you turn to gloop...then it's too late, you're biting everyone with your butt and you can't help yourself."

She looked down to the paw and frowned. "There's only one cure..."

Guifi:
This was VERY serious news! This lioness had Guifi's one hundred percent attention especially when it came to a life of biting others with his butt for life. It just sounded completely terrifying!

"Cure...." His heart was now in his throat. The organ was beating so fast he could hardly hear him self think.

Miakis:
"Okay, we need to sneak into the main pride and get a hair out of the leader's mane. Then we gotta take it and mix it into a dead fish's belly and rub it on your finger. That's the only way."

She leaned in closely, "The only. Way."

Guifi:
Guifi froze in place.

"... Only?" He repeated quite shocked. But if it was a choice between a life of butt biting and pissing off the pride leader... He was gonna go with pissing off the pride leader.

Miakis:
"Yup. The only way. You gotta rub the leader's hairfish on your paw. Then it'll stop hurting and the curse will be reversed."

She raised his paw up into the air and gave it a shake. "WE MUST GO FORTH NOW. We have our duty. We'll not rest until the world is safe from your butt-biting."

Guifi:
There was a gulp.

"Alright." He gave her a nod. She was completely right the world needed to be safe from his butt biting other wise they and everything good that existed was at risk. This was important.

But still, his heart would not go down from his throat. He was nervous. The pride leader?

"L-lead on then? Better if your in front in case I butt bite you."

Miakis:
"Kay. I'll lead, you steal. You're the one with the curse so you gotta do it, it's just the way it is okay?" Releasing his paw, she got to her feet, tossed her head up, and began trotting down the beach.

Perhaps twenty minutes would pass. They'd bypassed the pride's denning area already but she didn't seem to care or notice. In fact, she only seemed to notice that someone was following her... With every glance over her shoulder, her pace quickened.

Guifi:
Things were going to be okay. She'd lead, he'd follow and steal. This was going to be okay. Well, at least he thought things would be alright until they passed the denning area? Perhaps the pride leader was else where and she knew where? So , of course, the concerned Guifi continued after.

His pace quickened as hers quickened.

Miakis:
She looked back as he started after her. Shock rippled through her and in the blink of an eye she was outright running down the beach, her pace frantic and her eyes wide as saucers.

"GET AWAY FROM ME YOU LUNATIC!"

Guifi:
Was he already showing signs of goop? Was that why she was scared? He didn't feel like butt biting though? He was safe. He had to be safe to be around. It wasn't to late.

"WHAT IM FINE! IM SAFE! DONT RUN! MY BUTT WONT BITE!! MY BUTT WONT BITE!" He splashed on down after her.

Miakis:
"WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOUR BUTT BITE!?" She continued to run, turning a sharp course to make a made dash for the dryer sands of the beach. The wet sands were easier to run on but if she could get up to where the sand became soil she might frind a tree to climb or loose him in the rocks.

Guifi:
Guifi wasn't going to give up! He was even more confused and determined now to catch up for some answers. It was as if this lioness knew something that he didn't.

"THE SEA BLATTERS REMEMBER!" He roared after her.

Miakis:
She came to a complete stop, skidding in the sand and leaving a pair of long skidmarks in the sand. Her eyes went wide and she turned to him, her expression deadpan.

"...the sea bladder? What about them? Did you see one? They're serious!"

Guifi:
Guifi would have run smack in to her if he hadn't have turned at the last second. He turned and stared at her over his shoulder and frowned.

"Thats what you were saying. Its serious and butt biting and we had to steal a hair from the leader....?" Something was off here. Was he the BUTT of a joke here or something?

Miakis:
"...oh yes. If you got butt-bitten you gotta pull the hair from the leader, put it in a fish, and rub it all over the bite until it stops hurting. Then the cuerse is lifted."

She leaned in close, one eye squinting while the other widened. "...are you going to butt-bite me?"

Guifi:
Guifi felt him self lean back as she leaned forward.

"Butt bite you? NO. I uh.." He frowned, "I needed you to show me the way but I'll.... Uhhh.." For some reason now he was uncomfortable. Just as luck would have it, his tail was resting by a crab hole. With a crab in it. A pinch caused his eyes to widen and tear. Looking over his shoulder he found a crab very much attached to his tail.

"I think I just got ... Tail pinched," He let out a whine of pain.

Miakis:
Miakis frowned and pushed him forward. Sure enough, there was the little retreating claw of the offending crab and a fresh bump on his tail.

She leaned back to him and narrowed her eyes. "This is very bad....very serious indeed. You've just been infected with the bad ju-ju."

Guifi:
Guifi fell on his back with the push and looked up, stunned, at the lioness.

"My ju-ju is bad? But HOW?" He'd kept his nose clean for the most part around the pride. Usually. Now this was confusing.

Miakis:
"The crabs... they're the harbringers of the sea! If they pinch you, that means you're doomed. There's only one way to reverse it, and you won't like it. None of them do..."

She shook her head and made a little 'tsk' sound under her breath. "So sad. I don't even think you have a name."

Guifi:
"The crabs are ... is anything in the sea safe?" He was beginning to wonder now. But, to be fair, he'd never had so many encounters like this before. And then there was mention of a name..

"Guifi's my born name," He shook his head, "But I guess I don't have a gypsy one."

Miakis:
"What's a gypsy name?" She tipped her head to one side, genuinely interested and seemingly unconcerned with the sudden affliction of bad ju-ju in her current companion.

"Guifi....goofy?"
