Well that. Had certainly been an interesting party. Perhaps not the sort of thing Enzo had thought he was signing up for upon showing up, but eh, overall it was... good. He made some new friends, made some new enemies, kissed a few dames... hrmm... well, alright ONE dame, but he was happy to remember it how he wanted to remember it.
He just wished his head would stop pounding. Uggg... he trudged his way towards the cafeteria the next morning with his glitter-free news-boy hat pulled down over his eyes, and his hands thrust into his pockets. What a night, seriously. Could have gone better, honestly, but this was certainly the most intense hangover he had ever experience.
Horseradish.

Scarentine's day was over... And thank Jack it was! Bea spent the rest of the night thinking about what had went wrong throughout the entire night. To her, there was too many. Honestly, she thought she might be meeting the boil of her dreams that night, but in the end, she met two boils, and spent half the night stagging it. How pathetic...
The thing that kept coming back to haunt her was that kiss. That kiss was her first kiss... EVER. And she was the one who initiated it.That wasn't how a first kiss supposed to happen! Bea's idea of a first kiss would be more romantic... Pretty sure it was that punch that really had her going, it wouldn't made sense otherwise right? Well... The throbbing headache definitely felt unnatural. Bea put her hands up to her face, hiding from her embarrassment.
Bea rubbed her eyes, and looked up from her hands. There he was. The boil she kissed last night. CRAP. How could she face him? Bea tried to block her face from his view and quickly sneak by him, hoping he wouldn't notice her.

Enzo was content to make a B-line for the food line when he spotted a familiar set of legs under the brim of his hat. Waaaaitaminnit. He knew those barnacles.
Crapcrapcrap. His face flushed and at first he pretended he didn't see her, grabbing a tray and immediately snatching up breakfast, moving along.
He supposed he aught to... say something. About the previous night. He hadn't been himself! There was something in the air, and clearly in the punch and... oh hell. He had several girls to apologize to, he realized.
Damn.
Well. Well. The GENTLEMANLY thing to do was... do it. Talk to her. Things would be cool. Just stay calm.
She still hadn't taken a seat, which he supposed made it a little easier- they both could get away if need be.
He cleared his throat. "Uh. Hey." He managed, pretending to be fascinated by his apple.

That voice...
"OH, CRAP! HE SPOTTED ME!" Bea said under her breath. At first, she panicked, but what could she do? She couldn't just run away... Her face flushed red as she stopped in her tracks.
"Uhhhhhh..." twirling around awkwardly before facing him with a forced smile, "Why hellooooo."
Bea stood there for a moment looking at his apple. "G-Getting breakfast are we?--- er-- you! YOU are getting breakfast?!" Yes, small talk. She couldn't avoid him, and maybe he isn't going to bring up the kiss... but maybe she could try to avoid the conversation about last night anyway... "That looks like a mighty tasty apple you got there!" Bea shut her eyes tightly, wanting to face palm herself when she realized how stupid she must have sounded. Oh, Jack.

"Oh, uh, it aint for me," He shrugged, dropping it to the ground and several rats that had been lurking about under the tables leaped upon it ferociously, followed by several roaches creeping from his pant leg.
"Uh. 'bout yesterday. I'm sorry if I ah... crossed any lines. Figured we'd uh. Get on the level 'bout all that biz. I wasn't exactly in the right frame of mind, heh." He coughed, tipping his hat brim up to glanced about in what he hoped was a nonchalant manner.

Well, no escaping it now... Bea shuffled around, playing with a lock of hair between her dainty fingers before looking up at him. "Oh, um... I-It's okay, it's not a big deal at all," she took a deep breath, "To be honest, I wasn't feeling like myself last night, either...It must have been the punch or something that made everyone go kinda crazy, huh?" she gave a small giggle then went suddenly quiet again. She wasn't going to deny there was some chemistry going on at the time, or maybe it was because she was lonely? Whatever the case, she didn't want to return the apology. She watched the rats and roaches ravaged the apple for a bit trying to think of something else to say. It was strange. Last night, he seemed like such a jerk, however, after seeing him apologize, she guessed he didn't seem all that bad. At least, he was being considerate enough to not stare at her chest the entire night unlike that other boil she met. And at that time, they were sober. When Bea looked back up at him, her yellow eyes narrowed in on his freckled face, and she realized he was actually kind of... cute? She shook her head trying not to think of what happened at the refreshments table but she just couldn't get the image out of her mind. "...It wasn't... that bad was it?" Bea hesitated for a moment, lightly touching her lips with a couple of fingers before insecurely hugging onto her arms, "the um... kiss, I mean..."

He had frowned down at the rodents as they ripped and tore into the piece of fruit as though it was one of their own wounded and they were starved. Finally, though, he blinked once he realized he was being asked something, "Nah, nah, doll, it was berries, alright." He assured her, straightening up with a shrug, "So everything's copacetic, then? We're cool? No hard feelin's and all that? I gotta' find that other ghoul I sorta-" He groaned, shaking his head. He didn't even know her name, but hopefully she wouldn't be bruised or he'd never forgive himself.
"I wonder what was in that stuff anyways," He lifted up his milk carton from his tray, giving it a thoughtful look as he moved to set everything down at an empty table. "And where you could find it."

Bea fell silent again when he asked if they were fine and dandy. Thing was, she was feeling conflicted. "Well... ummm... actually..." Bea took a deep breath, "whathappenedlastnightwasmyfirstkissandiendedupwastingitonaboilwhoiknownothingaboutandonlymetoncebrieflymightiadd" She took another deep breath, "andihonestlydontthinkafirstkissshouldbethatwaybecause..." She paused for a moment, "iwantedmyfirstkisstobespecialbutiwasnotsureifitwasevenspecialconsideringthatyoudontseemtobeeffectedbyit... i don't know!" Her eyes darted around, trying to avoid eye contact with him until the very end of her rant where she looked up and gave him a pout.

 Well, s**t. Enzo cleared his throat, "Well, I mean... it's not like it was *my* first or noffin' so uh... I don't know what to tell ya', ah... aheh well, if you're sweet on me, that's great and all but I wasn't ezactly lookin' for er... *regular* mackin'.  "I KNOW--er KNEW THAT!" Bea shouted and threw her arms to her sides a bit frustrated .
"I JUST... I... I just... I DON'T KNOW!"
It took a while for Bea to start up again, "NO... no...I-I'm not that kind of girl, you know what I mean?" It was hard for her to accept the fact that she was the one who initiated it. "I know I'm not super cool, or extremely hot, or very popular..." she trailed off not knowing where she was even going with that.
She began scratching at the barnacles on her arm nervously, "I know we don't actually know each other, but I just thought..." Bea looked back at his eyes and pouted longer without finishing what she wanted to say.

 Horsefeathers. He knew that look. He knew it well. If he wasn't careful, she was either going to smack him or worse, start crying. "It's just a sayin', kiddo. Y'know. Jane, Debby, Dora, y'know. Just them names all dames are usually called. Bea's nice too, though!" He added in a sudden desperate act, "I'm Enzo. Dunno if we er... every properly introduced. Was a pretty crazy party, hahahaha..." That's right, laugh it off. No flustered feathers, and everything was cool. No awkward. "And what were you thinkin', anyway?" He raised a thick eyebrow, finally shifting to seat himself at the table. "If you're lookin' for another kiss, banks closed right now." And with that, he unwrapped his sandwich.

And what were you thinkin', anyway?At first Bea was like... But when he said banks closed, she was like... "What?" Bea blushed wildly, "ANOTHER KISS?!" What did she just tell him? She said she wasn't that kind of girl. Bea didn't know if she should feel embarrassed or furious. There he was trying to act all cool about it. Bea was ready to walk out right there but she decided turn back and pointed a finger right to his face. "What happened last night might not be a big deal to you!" Bea hurriedly walked off a bit, but began to stomp her way back to Enzo, "But! BUT, earlier when I said it wasn't a big deal," she stared at him for a moment, "WELL I lied! IT DEFINITELY WAS A BIG DEAL TO ME!"Her eyes darted from him, to his tray, then to him, then to his sandwich. She was so tempted to just smack that sandwich out of his hand and stormed off.

Bea stood there staring at his smug face. "Really?" she said unamused, "You HONESTY think that I would---" Then it hit her. Maybe, he's acting this way just to push her away, like just some other girl off the street. Like a one night stand! Well, she'll show him... She'll show him. "Actually," Bea's face completely changed from angry pout to a sweet smile. "That sounds like a good idea~!" Bea leaned down toward him, making sure her bosom is resting on the table. "Let's go out sometime. And we'll talk about payment later..."

"...." Enzo tried to not show his shock on his face as he blinked up at the ghoul, one thick eyebrow quirked. "Well, alright, then. Sounds like a date. You name the time and place, sweet cheeks. I'll show up for the free food." Could be worse, he felt. She was cute, at least.
