I'm assuming you all have ambitions.. Or at least want to do something. Whether your in high school, college, or beyond..

Mine is I want to do social work. Like either speak and evaluate adopting family's, help people from the hospital, prison, or the streets find housing and work, or help with people's treatment plans.

Its social and on task.. and I have a pretty good back round on it..

I'm in high school right now emotion_yatta

What up guildie!

Well, I am currently pursuing Civil Engineering and am trying to obtain a minor in Environmental Engineering. This will hopefully allow me to aid third-world countries around the world by supplying irrigation and clean water (if possible). I am also debating on whether or not I want to obtain a minor/bachelors in Bio-Informatics, then again I'm still not sure.

Good luck on your future endeavors!

Thank you.. Good luck to you smile

I think you should go for a minor in Bio-informatics because the more knowledge you have the better. But if it is too much of a financial drain, time drain, or will interfere with working to improve the third world... then don't do it.

Well that's true, but it will take a lot more money and time. Will also take time from work as well and I need the money lol. It's just a dream really, I've always wanted to make an impact and follow in the footsteps of those who actually care and will take care of the environment.

You could use the funds to start your career. You can use your education do have a higher quality of work. I think you should go for what you can.

Only problem is that dreams always conflict with reality. Despite the fact that education is mirrored as success and an exceptional option for earning money, doesn't mean I can always afford what my dreams bear. I barely have enough funds to support myself as is. Life gets rougher day by day and there is nothing stopping the recession that befalls all of us. A lot of things are clouding my mind nowadays, and I constantly see myself as not being able to fulfill my dreams because of the worlds economic deprivation. Hope is sometimes lost when struggle and persistence gets beat out of someone. Not to be much of a drag, but I can't stop being afraid of what this future holds and what lies before us (positive or negative).

Yeah... Besides I don't think you should take out student loans. I feel like they are too risky. And to find jobs I recommend doing research or contacting charity's.

Charities only recruit social workers and engineers who are well off in what they do. Also, they recruit people who already have enough money and can support themselves without any backlash to that company or organization. I believe that the key to finding a job is through networking. Networking and making connections is where everything really starts, otherwise there is nothing going beyond that. Research may show you a job, but what you may expect may be something you've yet to encounter and have not learned in school. Also, taking out loans is risky if one knows that he or she cannot afford to pay it back after completion of school. It's rough finding a job nowadays, and people always expect hiring the "real deal" rather than a semi-qualified worker who just graduated. Funds and scholarships are tough to come by.

Yeah.. But if find the right opportunities and work very hard.. setting yourself apart from other people.. then I'm sure you can find a job. And yes.. Networking is extremely important

I have ambitions, yes.
I want to graduate from high school this may. xD After that I am going to move back to my hometown where I will continue my education at a community college. I want to get my education degree within 5-6 years. I want to minor in Spanish and ASL. I hope to get a job at the middle school I went to... but with the way the job outlook is going I'll be willing to work just about anywhere.
