Zelda was bored. She was out in the exercise yard with a pack of other Growlithe, and a couple of humans. The humans would play with her if she demanded attention, but only for a little while before someone else would grab their attention. She could hang around the other Growlithe, but today she just didn't feel like it. Sneaking over to the corner hidden by a bush, Zelda slipped through the hole in the fence and trotted off to explore the city.

Cooper wagged his tail as a couple of people threw a few pieces of bread his way, happy to gobble them up. His trainer was inside the grocery store stocking up on food for the next big trip, since having a large arcanine walking around the isles would too much, Cooper had decide to stay outside and guard Adriel's cart from thieves.

Zelda sniffed the air. Did she smell food over that way? She followed her nose and soon found herself in front of a store with an Arcanine out front. "Hey there big guy! And snacks around here?"

Cooper tilted his head, ears perked up a bit and he looked down. Oh, pretty pink Growlithe was very pretty. Pretty and pink and obviously girly. The large pokemon shook his head to clear his head and lower it. "(Yah! People throw bread or treats. Some treats taste bad, but most are pretty good!)"

"Oh, nice. Treats are always a good thing." Zelda wandered over, sitting near Cooper. "So, you waiting for your human?"

Cooper scratched at one of his ears with a back paw before nodding quickly. "(Yah, he is buying food and pills and stuff....Where is your trainer?)" He sniffed towards a couple of treats a couple of people threw as they came out of the grocery store.

Zelda perked up and went over to the dropped food. Sniffing, she selected a treat that smelled good. "Oh, I don't have one yet. I'm part of the officer's kennel."

The arcanine pawed at a different treat and lapped it up. Part of what she said seemed to confuse him. "(Officer's kennel? You are a cop?)"

"No, no, I'm in training. I don't have an officer human yet, so I just do what the trainers say. But I got bored today, so I played hooky," Zelda said saucily.

"(Oooh....)" Cooper could understand that, he remember his other trainer that had to go away because of bad people chasing them, their training seasions sometimes were a bit strict and way too hard, so Cooper would just seat on him and drool until the ex-trainer agreed to a break. He missed his old trainer. Adriel wasn't too bad tho, he always had treats. Pink treats. He looked down at the pink growlithe. Pretty pink. "(Will you soon have one?)"

"Probably. It depends on when the humans need a new partner. But I think I'm close to being picked. There was a male sniffing around the kennel the other day, but he chose a different Growlithe. He said something about not liking pink," Zelda sniffed.

Cooper stared at her like she had grown a second head. "(Not liking pink? That boy was insane! Completely insane! Pink is the color of the greatest treats ever! Pink is the greatest color ever)" He looked quiet scandalize.

Zelda fluffed her decidedly pink fur. "Why thank you. I quite like it myself," she cooed.

Cooper gave her a silly smile as he wagged his tail rapidly. "(I like your pink)" He tilted his head and licked her cheek. "(Very cute!)"

Zelda giggled and took a playful swipe at the Arcanine. "Thanks. I'll catch you later, big boy. I gotta get back before I'm missed." Zelda trotted off, following the girl's rule: always leave them wanting more.
