Rio was happy, the happiest he'd been in a long time, not that he'd been truly unhappy for any great length of time, but...he really was happy! He did miss Adi, but she was safe and undoubtedly happy herself, so it didn't bother him unbearably. If she was happy, then so was he. And there was a sky again, and sun - he still wasn't quite used to it, but in a good way. This want to bask in the sunlight was probably something to do with his vampire host, he was sure. Making up for lost time, and enjoying something she'd never thought she would see again.
And there was Leo, of course. There were no words to adequately sum up what his new 'follower' meant to him...it didn't even seem right to call him that, really. It wasn't nearly enough.
The god sat on a garden bench, eyes closed and looking very peaceful.

With his lady ascended to her former glory, Concerto did not have as much time as he once had. It was far from a bad thing - and maybe, just maybe, he was finally making some headway on the temple-side of things.
Stubborn Music, really. This was all well and good, but gods needed temples ! And, of course, he'd rarely been more happy than when he'd had a temple to run.
He was on his way to go see Allysia when he did spot something - no, someone - interesting. Ah...
No one would notice if he paused for a few minutes, right ?
Right.
"Rio !" He called out.

Hn? It took a moment for the voice to register, with Rio off in his own little world, but once it did, his eyes flew open and he was quick to get to his feet. "Concerto!"
He wasted no time in clearing the distance between them to wrap the aoide in a hug. "I haven't seen you in forever. How are you?"

"Busy." Really. Very busy. Busy was an understatement, almost. The hug did not come as a surprise, not anymore. When he'd first come into Love's temporary service, this kind of closeness had him almost leaping out of his skin.
"Have I ever thought I'd have to deal with a goddess who doesn't want a temple, I swear..." He said, amused. "And you ?"

"Doesn't want a temple?" Clearly, Love shared some confusion with him on this matter. "That seems counterproductive!" A temple...with the handful of followers he'd gathered, that was probably nowhere in the near future for him.
"Less busy than you," he answered with a laugh. "That's for certain. Making new friends, mostly." And, this being Rio, that meant more than friends.

"Well. More like she believes the resources are best spent elsewhere." He rose an eyebrow as if to ask 'what resources ?'. So soon after the renewal, well, Echo had a point.
Now, through, resources were probably the least of their problem !
"You will need to forgive me if I don't seem too surprised." Yes, another thing that had once surprised him. Rio and his sheer amount of... 'friends'. Well, he couldn't blame anyone, really - Love was quite charismatic and attractive to boot.

"Hm." Considering the matter of resources, Rio nodded. "I can understand that, truly. I suppose it would be hard to go behind her back and just do it..." It would be a very impressive surprise present, though!
"I guess it would be stranger if I weren't," he allowed with a laugh. "Although I seem to have developed a particular skill for...making friends with other gods' followers."

Concerto did let out a snort of a laugh before he managed to regain his composure. "Well... With so many gods in one place, can we really expect mortals to believe and pick just one ?" Really, it had never been such a big deal to him.
After all, if one believed in Music, did they not also believe in the greater influences of Sound and Creation at the same time ? Would they not believe in Emotion ?
While he did understand that mortals might be drawn mostly to one, well, Concerto was not quite sure that truly worshiping only one aspect of the pantheon, even as few numbered now than it had once been, was possible.

"Aoidei, hmm." Really ? That would probably end up with a few annoyed deities eventually... Through, really, Rio was probably more careful than that.

Rio pouted briefly, but he supposed he shouldn't be surprised. Really, it had been far too long since Concerto had been around him for any length of time, and that was even before he'd come more into his power and himself.
"Well, it can't be every aoide, I suppose," he conceded for the time being, chuckling. "You should come and visit sometime, though, when you need a break?"

Okay, now that was curious. And, well... a little more obvious, really, given the context. It wasn't like he saw other aoidei around !
And he... Well, actually he wasn't sure what he thought about that. He certainly was not bothered by the idea (through if it had been anyone else but Rio, he might - but he knew that Love did not value distance like most gods did.), but yet...

"I should probably, yes." He nodded. "If I ever end up not running about like a chicken without it's head..."
Well, this was probably karma for complaining that he had nothing to do, all those years ago.

Perfectly sound logic, right there. "Today is kind of my... day off, as it is. As much as such a thing is possible." Not when herding godlings like cats, for certain, through these times were thankfully long gone.
