User ImageGlyph had returned to the Pantheon the day after he and Xun had first entertained the idea of a soiree in the market to seek Music. He could think of no one else better suited to provide the backdrop for the gathering. Music's presence would create a romantic, intimate flair to the evening or a festive beat for dancing as needed. Of course, Glyph intended to sweep Xun from his feet with romance, and Echo's assistance would be most central.

Thus, he was lingering about the rooms he had first seen Echo teaching in. Having changed since they last saw each other, he rather hoped the petite goddess would recognize him. The long leafy dread locks, the gracefully arching branches and root-like feet were probably enough of a give away as it was, but one never knew.

It amused him that he stood out like a sore thumb in the order and stone of the Pantheon's interior. The pristine, white walls and the sculpted art made his earthy tones stand out starkly - a wild creature standing in the midst of constructed shelters.

Click to show.It wouldn't take too long for Music to be located - in fact, once he got close, Glyph's ears would lead him exactly to the goddess he sought. It looked like she had finished lessons already, and now was working along to creating some sheet music - for her students' enjoyment, perhaps ?

"Hmmm." She mused to herself, and - well - never saw or heard Forest comig at all, focused as she was.

User Image Following the sound of music, Glyph came upon the room Echo was currently occupied, the soft creak and rustle of wood or leaves his only announcement as he stepped into the room - he actually had the duck a fair way so that his branches would clear. He paused a moment then walked in further, clearing his throat as he straightened once more and his shadow fell across the parchment the Goddess was working on.

"What are you working on?" He asked, shuffling a little to view the composition. His hair fell across his shoulder then and cast dappled shadows then. Smiling, he ran a hand through his hair, lifting his gaze to meet Echo's, "Are your students finished for the day?"

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show....There was a shadow on her paper. At least it was advance warning, strange enough to wrench the goddess out of her inner world of melodies and note before he spoke. If that hadn't happened, well, Glyph would have been spectator to what happened when Music was startled.

It involved unpleasant sounds, so perhaps he should have counted his blessings.

Still, she looked up, and looked rather puzzled for a moment, until... Oh ! "Sheet music, and yes, they are done for today." Then, amused. "Why are you all so tall, I swear..."

No, really.

"Well, it is good to see you, Glyph."

User Image He smiled when she spoke, giving a shrug, "Have you ever seen a short tree? I feel better now... like my body fits me now." Glyph hadn't really realized how very short Echo was before this and, out of respect, he lowered himself to kneeling so that they might be closer in height - she wouldn't have to cran her neck and he wouldn't have to look down his nose.

"It's good to see you as well. What kind of sheet music?" The note of interest in his voice was unmistakeable - his line of thought obviously ran in that direction, "I... Well, I was hoping to impose upon you. Xun and I had hoped to organize a soiree in the market and would be honoured if you played for the gathering."

His blushed slightly as he tilted his head, thinking of Lifewater, "I... wanted to do something special for him. Impress him somehow. He confessed to me, you see." Glyph's tone was soft and quiet, that of a suitor trying to figure out the best way to romance his love interest. "Would you be interested in helping me?"

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.It was a good thing Echo was not so knowledgeable about botany, or she would have given the all too obvious answer of a bonzai. As talented as she was with melodies, she couldn't boast the same skill with plants - her own gardens were kept lush and healthy by her more talented servants.

"Simple melodies, right now... I plan to introduce them to violins shortly." And well, one had to start with the basics. Through, it was obvious Glyph had something on his mind, and it made her endlessly curious. Thankfully, however, he was quick to share it before she would need to have to pry it out.

"Oh ! I would certainly be happy to." How delightful ! Really, it had been such a long time... No, actually, she could not remember her own kind gathering like this for no other reason than to enjoy themselves. This was, perhaps, long overdue.

"What did you have in mind, hm ?" But then, Forest went and told of things almost as interesting as her involvement in this little gathering. Ah, young love was adorable. "I see... Well, we'll have to make sure to make it memorable, then." She winked. "Tell me about him, hm ?"

User Image Glyph perked when she agreed so easily and fairly beamed at her, relieved to have her cooperation, "Thank-you! I was going to help provide the food... a few stags or boars, some game fowl, and a handful of rabbit should be enough meat..." He scratched his head, pondering if it was enough - he wasn't a meat eater, no, and sometimes had difficult gauging how much would be enough to feed his more carnivorous companions.

Blushed a little at her prying and settled fully onto the floor, bringing his knees to his chest as his hair pooled around him and made a thoughtful sound, as if trying to figure out where to start, "It's.... a long story. I'm not sure where to begin." He spent a few moments thinking before his eyes lit up and he smiled broadly, "Well... Xun is Lifewater, one of the Dragon Kings, so I'm not very sure why he picked me... I'm honoured but it's a little like an unexpected boon. I loved Ilisia, his host you see... we became lovers when we traveled to Darnassus - her home. I knew I'd lose her but I couldn't help it..."

He sighed again, skipping time in his narrative, "When Xun took her, I wasn't sure what to do. But... he's just so warm, coy, clever, entertaining too. A lot like Ilisia but different too. Confident, impetuous, playful... sensual..." He grinned knowingly at that, approving of most everything that Xun was. "Granted, I haven't had a fight with him yet or anything like that... but I really like him, Echo. I thought your music could help tell him that."

As confident and capable as Glyph was in official matters, it was obvious he was far softer in matters of the heart. It was a path without rules or clear choices and he wanted so much to make the best decisions. "I'm not sure what sort of music would be appropriate, actually, that why I wanted to speak to you. Something energetic, sensual... inviting and coy, a song to dance to or slip away during. The rest of the party... music for good moods, camaraderie, alliance and friendship. I don't know, does that make sense?" He asked as he looked up, chin resting on top of his arms, which he'd wrapped around his legs.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."Hmm... I would not know either." Really ! Um. She was good at entertaining, certainly. but more practical matters... "Well, one of my aoidei might be able to help you. He is a great deal more organized than I am."

Well, and Concerto had once run a temple. Surely he would know how to do this !

"A dragon king ?" Oh, how delightful ! Really, she did not know most of them. Had seen them, certainly, but the only one she was truly familiar with was Tian Yue, who actually was one of her closest friends. The tale was indeed long, but she listened to it in closest to silence that she was able to be - that is, she said nothing, but her wings continued on their harmony, as they always did.

"Well, that definitively helps, to know him and what he would like." Something to help draw the dragon's nature, but not only just that - something the guests could enjoy, too. "And that makes perfect sense." She assured Forest. "I can work with that." Oh, and definitively would ! Really, this was such a delightful idea ! Adorable, too.

User Image "Yes! A dragon king. I'm hoping the party will attract the others as well... I've had the fortune of meeting a handful but with the number of disappearances and the amount of knowledge we have can be better passed around in case we do go missing." He was looking forward to the gathering - he couldn't remember the last time such a thing was organized.

"That's just it..." Glyph responded with a frown, "I... well, I don't know him inside out. Which is part of the allure, I suppose, but I still feel silly sitting here unable to describe all that Lifewater is." Forest puffed out a sigh, "Maybe I should ask around... maybe his brothers? Xun admitted he didn't know many of our peers to begin with..." And he'd been there practically from the beginning.

"Maybe just exposure?" Mumbling to himself, he reached up and scratched his hair, tousling it in the process and left it just as wild as before, "Can you think of anyone else? I'm not sure who else to ask. I'll put the invitations up on the board for everyone at the very least."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."Give it time." Music said, unable to completely hide her own amusement. "Wouldn't it be boring if you knew every facet of him already ?" Really, young love. Adorable. She'd been where Glyph now was, once... Well, in a way. She doubted this Xun was anything like Nergal, so Forest actually might have it easier, even.

"Asking his brothers would probably help - they ought to know him well... If not in this life, then what he used to be." Through that might be a gamble - maybe this dragon was very different from the one he used to be, as so many of the reborn now were. She was very different from the woman she used to be, but... did she not like the same things, mostly ?

Well, it could work. "Through, you said he was Lifewater ? You could play up his element." Really, he was bound to like water... right ?

"Hunt might be able to help, but I have not seen him in quite some time." Echo admitted. Anyone else... Hmmm, "Rio could probably help with the ambiance, too."

User Image"I don't know... but I'd like to know more then I do," he replied with a soft laugh. It was exciting, this fluttering nervousness that made him smile despite himself.

"Play up his element? I suppose I could..." Glyph trailed off, trying to think of something that would involve Xun's element, "His is the purest water, though, the life-giving sweet nectar of the land... Maybe some jewelry? Like a locket?" He perked at that, "What about a small bottle like those decorative perfume containers the people from Baadris seem to be obsessed with?"

A wave of a hand at the mention of Love, "I intend to seek his help as well. I want to romance Xun and who better to ask, hn? For the party, though, perhaps having Love preside would benefit all those who attend... I will have to speak to him. Please, do invite everyone you wish, Echo. It's been too long since everyone gathered... the gods are walking again and yet so few know of the others' rebirths. I would be honoured to meet the rest of your family.

"Is Lacrymosa doing well? I met her just after a meeting with Nergal some time, a lovely child so full of questions. I haven't met your others yet, sadly."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."I honestly thing that as long as it is well-meant, a gift from someone you love will be treasured." But she could understand the fretting. Could relate to it quite well, actually. "If he already wears jewelry, then it would probably be a nice idea..." Especially if there was something related to Forest included. A way to be together, in some way, even when they were apart.

"I will bring whoever it is I can find." She nodded. Through she imagined Ankou probably wouldn't show up at such a large gathering... Or if he did, only briefly. (Or dragged by Cosine. The thought made her smile.)

"She is doing very well indeed... Growing more and more independent by the day. My oldest shows no sign of slowing down at all." That was accompanied with an amused laugh. "My youngest actually did grow recently, into a shape more like ours... It surprised me." Really, she'd expected the more outgoing two to be first, through Akakios was certainly smart in his own way.

User Image "I hope so... I'm entirely sure what, exactly, catches Xun's eye." Glyph puffed out his cheeks. This whole courting business was not his forte.

Glyph listened as she spoke of her family, the pride quite evident in her voice, "That's excellent! I'm glad to hear they're doing well and prospering. Have any found any followers yet? Established sacred places? It is one thing for us, to pick up the pieces of our pasts, but for the new gods among us... to start from scratch is a daunting task." He loved children, their endless curiosity and wonder was a sweet ambrosia for the friendly god.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."I do not think they think of it as followers, just yet. They are still young." She said, amused. "But they are close friends with a few mortals that will likely end up following them, eventually." The way Akakios had spoken of his meeting with Grace... Yes, Echo was certain that the two of them would end up working together, with what Grace wished to do with her life.

"It is a daunting task, through I think only Kios has truly realized it, so far." She caught him pensive, most of the time, and it was obvious he was making an effort of reaching out more than he had once had. "There are also little they can relate to, aside from each other. I know of others that have had children, but have not yet the pleasure of meeting them. Kios has met one of Water's daughrers, I believe, but only briefly."

User Image Glyph nodded as he listened, looking thoughtful, "I expect as we return more and more New Gods will be brought forth and they will have peers. I don't think it's something to worry too terribly about... if they find their own path through the woods, they're bound to learn it better then following a guide."

He smiled and rolled his shoulders then leaned back, "If they existed before the Fading, I'm sure they can draw reference from that at the very least. It is one thing I am grateful for... whatever my past and regardless of splintered memory, there are places that still worship me. I am certain such cults exist for all of us, we simply need to find them." The night elves had been a stroke of grand fortune for Glyph and he'd found much support and strength in their belief.

"One day I will have children, I think." He laughed, a musical quality to the wistful expression.
