I have been itching to reply through Pokemon B/W Recently and have decided to change things up a little by doing something I have never done before, using a type focused team. Normally I like breaking it up among the types, or just pokemon I think look cool. Now I normally don't use fighting types, so I just want some advice on this team. It isn't competitive, just for game completing.

Any nature advice is good as well.

So I plan on using

Torchic -> Blaziken
Tyrogue -> one of the Hitmons
Poliwag -> Poliwrath
Ralts -> Gallade
Riolu -> Lucario
And I am still debating between
Heracross
or
Scraggy -> Scrafty

If it's just for game completing, Scrafty is always a reliable Pokémon to bring along. His Dark-typing allows for resistance against three of the Elite Four, his high defenses let him tank the majority of threats in the game, and his two abilities are stellar for the casual player. If you're only using this to complete the game, honestly.. you can't go wrong with anything. The worst NU Pokémon can take you through the game.

No, seriously. I occasionally run through my games with a level 90 Dunsparce for shits and giggles.

Competitively speaking...

Blaziken is currently considered Uber in the world of competitive gaming, so be careful. Even without Speed Boost (the DW ability that landed it in the tier), you're going to get people whining about it if you use it. Casual play? Go for it. Competitive use? Switch him out for Heracross or Machamp.

When weighing the Hitmons against each other, in this case, I'd have to go with Hitmontop. No one else on your team can use Rapid Spin, and with the amount of entry hazards in standard play, you're going to want to get rid of them.

Scrafty would give you the Psychic immunity your team would really appreciate, and provides a solid switch-in on Ghost types that wall Hitmontop's Rapid Spin, as well. Just watch out for Will-o-Wispers, unless you plan on running a Shed Skin defensive build.

I'd give you more advice, but I have no idea what builds you're running.

The other reason Blaziken was placed in uber was because it has access to a plethora of boosting moves, baton pass, Hi jump Kick Flare Blitz and the existence of drought ninetailes. And Speed Boost Blaziken isn't out here in NA yet.

Instead of Poliwrath use Toxicroak, because Toxicroack has access to drain punch , a water immunity, prisuit, sucker punch, bulck up, nasty plot and has good defences
