Because there are not enough animal Senshi in this forum. NEVER ENOUGH. Also, want to try my hand at a corrupt Senshi, though if that's a problem I can work around it. Here's the kick: She's a nun at St. Magsdalena's Seminary... not sure if those are free game, but I'm sure if there's a problem, someone will definitely tell me. I figured that having a playable Nun would be beneficial to some civilian RPs for those that attend St. Mag's, and I can see her being a nun would make her being a corrupt Senshi, a warrior of the Earth against the alien invaders, make sense.
I know it might be a bit risky, but I figured I could try. I'm open for any Crits, as I'm sure I'll need them. Just let me know!
Information coming in a few minutes. c:
Edit: Was informed I need to specify which Corrupt I need to go with, therefor I'm specifying her as DMC. Also dropping her age down to 20 instead of 22, for the same reason. A million thanks to the helper...
Edit2: Since she cannot possibly be a nun due to her age, I've decided to make her a postulate and since she doesn't have a nun name yet, I gave her a name. Say hello to Bethany Wyatt.

Name: Bethany Wyatt
Nickname: Beth
Age: 16
Birthday: April 28
Sign: Taurus
Gemstone: Emerald
Blood Type: AB
Fav. Food: Chocolate, sweets, anything super indulgent and soothing.
Hated Food: Brussels sprouts and peas of any kind.
School: St-Magsdalena's Seminary
Occupation: None
Hobbies:
Reading - Bethany enjoys hitting the books, especially ones that don’t have a giant cross on its cover. Despite her scholarly duties and her role in the Spiritual Guidance Club and volunteer work, Bethany is able to work in a few cram sessions with all of her favorite novels, such as Agatha Christy mysteries, Diana Wynne Jones’ fantasies and despite the religious backlash many years ago, she did enjoy the first few books in the Harry Potter series, though she hasn't had the time to catch up on them. Any good mystery or fantasy book will do. Bethany's life hadn't always been great, and reading novels is a way for her to escape from time to time, even if it's only for a little while. Once she picks up a book, she simply cannot put it down, often forgetting when it's time to eat or even sleep, if only to get a few more minutes in her fantasy realm.
Counseling - Besides reading, one way for Bethany to avoid dealing with her own problem is to devote her time and resources into listening to other people’s problems, and Bethany is exceptionally good at that. She is an active member of the St-Magsdalena's Seminary Spiritual Guidance Club and takes her duty of assisting others through kind words and advice to heart. However, it takes more to help the individual with their problems than just listen to them, and Bethany takes a strange pleasure in helping out her fellow students at St. Magsdalena’s Seminary. Whether she’s drawn to helping the troubled and less fortunate, or perhaps because she herself had been in their shoes at one point, Bethany is eager to help the young girls work through their problems. This courtesy is also extended to others outside of the school grounds, as she will gladly assist others, should they want to seek some sort of advice. Perhaps she invests too much time in trying to help others out instead of figuring out her own needs, but if at the end of the day, even if she's run herself ragged and is behind on her classwork, as long as she helped someone else out of a jiffy or a bind, then that is time well spent for Bethany.
Volunteering - Bethany Wyatt gives more than she takes, and when she's not reading or counseling others, she can be found in various spots throughout Destiny City, such as church fundraisers for St. Magsdalena’s Seminary, soup kitchens, and even the occasional car wash on the weekends, though one would never see her wearing a skimpy bathing suit like some girls her age. If time is not spent helping another in need, then it is not time well spent in Bethany's eyes, and one can bet that she'll give her all when she offers her services, even if she doesn't make a profit. She's in it to help others, not herself, and if you need something done with no questions asked (except how best to accommodate the one asking), then Bethany is your go-to girl.
Virtues:
Patient – Part of being a young girl of faith means that Bethany has to be patient, as she is constantly dealing with lost souls losing faith, troubled teens that don’t wish to be helped, as well as contending with her own troubles. Patience is needed when dealing with such things, and Bethany is in no hurry to get things done. She understands that sometimes, wounds don’t need medicine or bandages, but time to heal, and Bethany is willing to wait as long as possible for an opening to present itself. This helps her both in the church and classroom, and in battle, as she will often wait for the opponent to make the first mistake and will capitalize on that. She will hold her ground and wait for the golden opportunity to present itself, before moving in with slow, methodical and well-calculated approaches, which can work great in her favor, though perhaps at the nerve of her allies or enemies. "Slow and Steady Wins the Race." That is Bethany's mantra.
Nurturing – Bethany cannot stand to see others suffer, whether it be because they’re having home problems, trouble with a math question, or even something bigger than that, and Bethany will do absolutely anything that is necessary to help others with their problems. She will sew their clothes if there is a tear, assist them with a math problem even if it takes all class period, prepare meals for the girls that forgot their lunch or lunch money. If a girl is injured on the playground or from a fight, she’ll address the wound with as much knowledge that she has (or call 911 if its outside of her experience). Bethany may not be a mother, and perhaps she may never become a mother, but to her, everyone is family, and Bethany will extend that courtesy to anyone, whether they want it or not (and if the situation calls for it, she will even extend this courtesy to her opponents... one must always be willing to extend a helping hand to their neighbor, even if said neighbor wants to bite that hand off).
Team Player – Bethany is a helpful young woman, and her time spent volunteering at different events has taught her that everyone must work together for a common goal. She has little desires for herself, though she is not completely selfless (though given how freely she gives to others before herself, one would think otherwise), Bethany works exceptionally well with others. She seldom takes the lead role, but she will give the leader her full and unconditional support, even if the others may turn on them. In combat, she will allow for another, more confident and stronger ally to take the lead, and she will support them without question in whatever way she can. Once Bethany's trust is gained, she will follow them to the ends of the earth and help in whatever way possible to make sure that the job gets done, whatever it may be, even if it means surrendering the few privileges she may have.
Flaws:
Overbearing – Bethany may be nurturing, but she can be borderline obsessive when it comes to helping others, especially if they don’t want to be helped (which, at St. Mag’s, it’s more likely than you’d think). Not only does this have an ill effect on her as she’ll run herself ragged (though it’ll take awhile), she’s likely to get under other people’s skin. She comes off as someone who is nosy, or a busybody, and there are times that it drives other people away, despite her good intentions. There are also times where she is a little too helpful and will, unbeknownst to her, actually take over someone else's duty in a group assignment and will continue to do so until told otherwise. She also has a tendency to run herself ragged, but she cannot stand the thought of not giving her all in a project or assignment, even if she is not wanted.
Overly Cautious – There is a fine line of difference between patience and being overly cautious. Bethany tends to be so patient that she borderlines the point of missing key opportunities to make any real progress. Whether it be in helping a student with a problem, or deciding what move to make in combat, Bethany has allowed opportunities to slip by in the fear of making matters worse, and this can be extremely frustrating for both allies and herself at times. If she is not prompted by a friend, an ally or even an enemy, Bethany will likely sit and wait for a long, long time for the answer to reveal itself rather than look for one herself at times, and while this could be useful to someone who has all the time in the world, there are some pressing matters that require quick thinking and action, and this is where Bethany may get caught up in. Perhaps she could make a few more Hail Mary’s to help her decide what action to take next time?
Self Sacrificing - Bethany is at her best when she is aiding another, either through advice or physically in a group activity or a fight. Her knack for keeping others safe or in line not only comes off as overbearing, but it can also be destructive to her solo work, or even to herself. She will gladly sacrifice her time and energy for someone else's cause without too much thought of her own safety or needs, and while everyone enjoys a little bit of self sacrifice, it doesn't bode well for Bethany in the long haul. After all, what use is a bodyguard if he or she is dead (or in the very least, run ragged)? On her own, she is less likely to make such foolish sacrifices and can take care of herself, but if someone else in involved, Bethany takes it as her sole duty to help and protect them from anything or anyone that would try to take them down, regardless of how it would ultimately affect her. She also tends to ignore how her selfless acts actually affect others, as her constant jumping in the way of an attack, or protective nature can interfere with a plan or even put herself and the one she is trying to save at risk. In a less harmful way, it also comes off to others that she has little self value, low self esteem, and it makes taking her into a situation a chore for them, if they wish to keep her alive as well. Of course, she has no idea how this would affect others; all she cares about it keeping them safe or carrying their burden to make it easier on them.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Eyes: Narrow eyes, cold in nature despite her nurturing ways. Iris color is a dark violet, almost completely black.
Hair: Dark black hair, pulled to one side and actually hangs over her left shoulder in a thick braid. She keeps the front combed back and it is very neat.
Face: Narrow face, with a more rectangular jawline that is –almost- masculine. Her nose is average sized and curves downward (like a hook). Despite her masculine jawline, she has very feminine lips (not Angelina Jolie sized but fairly big and full.)
Clothes: Student

Canopus, star in the Southern hemisphere believed to be known as the Star of Longevity. Senshi: Sailor Canopus, DMC Senshi of the Longevity Challenge: “Slow and steady wins the race…” Fuku Colour: Main Color: Dark auburn (a reddish brown)Secondary Color: Indian yellowFuku: Artists's Choice! Accessories – Hair is still braided, tied together with an Indian yellow ribbon Attacks: Sailor Scout Attack: Canopus Confinement. Sailor Canopus brings a hand up and lays the palm flat, facing upwards, and as she waves her other hand over it, an energy ball forms and morphs into the shape of a basketball sized sphere. It spins for a second and with a wave of her hand the sphere flies forward and at the opponent. If it connects with the opponent, it will enclose around the opponent’s body, offering them doubled defense but in turn, encumbering them and slowing their movement speed. The energy sphere will remain on the opponent for twenty five seconds • Can only be used on an enemy, not an ally • Can be used twice in combat, but only one opponent at a time • Can be dodged • Effects: doubles wearer’s defense, cuts their movement speed in half • Duration: 25 seconds. Super Sailor Scout Attack: Canopus Stasis. Sailor Canopus has taken the time to improve her attack. The motions are the same, but the sphere now moves at a faster speed at the opponent, and Canopus has found a way to use this attack on her allies as well. The effects are the updated and are the same for both enemy and ally alike: the wearer’s defense is now tripled, but their speed is greatly hindered due to the cumbersome weight around them. Once again, the effects will wear off in twenty seconds. • Can be used on enemy and ally • Can be used twice in combat, but only one opponent OR ally at a time • Can be dodged • Effects: Triples wearer’s defense, cuts their movement speed to a third of their original speed • Duration: 20 seconds Eternal Sailor Attack: Coda of Longevity. Sailor Canopus has perfected her skills, though at a heavy cost to the wearer. The defensive sphere can be used on an opponent or an ally, improving their defense to the point of being completely untouchable except only by the strongest of attacks. Unfortunately, any and all movement from the wearer is impossible so long as the spell is in effect, leaving them completely useless, but protected, in combat. The effects lasts fifteen seconds, and unlike its last two forms, it can only be used once, and Sailor Canopus cannot use this attack on herself. * Can be used on enemy and ally * Can only be used once in combat, enemy OR ally * Can be dodged * Effects: Impregnable defense to its wearer, complete immobilization to the wearer * Duration: Fifteen seconds

I'm kind of playing her in a certain way and there's no way I can justify her being a White Moon (well... despite the obvious fact that she's a flippin' Nun I suppose). I'm sure Sailor Nuxui will remorse this fact and I can make it a vocal point of her character (I plan on making her a rather tragic character... work up the ham and stuff.)

Hey there!
I'm sorry to point out technicalities, but she won't be able to be a nun in the Catholic church at age 20. Girls are typically allowed to enter a convent around 18, but their full vows aren't taken until they're around 30!
I'm not really sure a nun would read impure things with the thought of "I'll just ask for forgiveness" since the whole sacrament of reconciliation only really works (in Catholic belief) if one is truly sorry for their sins and strives to not sin in such a way again. (And technically... doing something with the thought of "I know it's bad, but I'll do it anyway and be forgiven later" would be considered a mortal sin and... a very bad thing. :< ... for Catholics... )
While I like the overall idea, I think there is also a very fine line of being realistic and possibly offensive when it comes to religion. I'm not saying it is, now! Just be careful if you really want to follow through.
Personally speaking, Jean d'Arc is one of my favorite saints and a powerful woman in history, so it made me "awwww ;;" that she'd find it cruel to be called that. XD;; orz;
"Nunnery" is also a rather old term and not really used today, unless in, like... Shakespeare performances. (But it's a double entendre for a brothel. XD; /random )

XD; /random ) It's what a crit is for, so no problems with technicalities. - Age issue: Huh, I thought I read otherwise. I guess I didn't do my research much... I'd still want her to be on her way to becoming a nun, though, but I don't want her to be a student at St. Mag's. What would you recommend that I make that work? -The book issue: Can change that. Was trying to add flavor and not make her too stereotypical nun, but if it's a real issue, then I can change that. - Nunnery- I thought I editted my word document to get rid of that (I know I put convent later... so maybe I didn't edit it as well as I thought.) Thanks for catching that. As far as Sister Jeanne went, that was the first Saint that came to mind, though if that needs to be changed I can do that (and leave the idea of Sister Jeanne as an NPC that continuiously pops up in Gwen's/Sailor Tsui's civilian RPs, and just make them two different characters). The whole d'Arc thing is Gwen taking a small jab at the fact that when Sister Jeanne was young, before she was a nun, she was involved in a house fire. I was going to drop that later once I got the journal up after approval, but yeah, if it might be considered offensive, I'll drop that and find another name (or simply drop the whole d'Arc nickname). Once again, thanks for the crits. I grew up Roman Catholic but only have met one nun. I'm a failure XD

It's okay! I used to want to be a nun. LOL Well, consecrated, which is a bit different than a nun. The consecrated women I knew were pretty young and lots of fun, so maybe that could be something to look into? She wouldn't be called "Sister" though, I don't think. But they travel a lot in order to work with those in need, but still!

But they travel a lot in order to work with those in need, but still! So, I've come across the stages of becoming a nun and came up with this. * Aspirancy / Pre-Candidacy (more to come on each of these) * Postulancy / Candidacy * Novitiate * First Vows * Final Vows I could guess that she'd be in the Apirancy/Pre-Candidacy stage. Trying to figure how at what point they get their name, and I seem to be having some trouble there. I don't mind dropping her down to the Aspirancy/Pre-Candidacy to maybe Postulancy, and it shouldn't be too hard to come up with a name. However, I'm starting to realize that this character is definitely not the character I originally planned, and I have dropped her name every so often in Gwen's RPs, so I'm considering just making them two different characters. Sister Jeanne can still be a nun that works with truancy and an NPC, and this one can be a completely difference character with some minor similarities. Because if I upped her age to be nun age, she couldn't be a Senshi, and I don't think I want to make her a Negaverse lieutenant (there's a pretty good reason why I chose Tortoise.) I may end up doing that. I'm not in any hurry though. Thanks again for the crits!

Not a problem!
I was actually also wondering how being part of the DMC would affect her, spiritually and morally. D: If she's serious about being a nun, whether or not she's another character than who you have now, I mean.
And I think it'll be fun to do the Tortoise for a sphere! All that's left is the phoenix. And yeah, I know there's a senshi of Renewal, but if someone went for the mythological creature aspect, rather than rebirth/renewal aspect, I can definitely see it working!

Was throwing the around with a friend here and while Jeanne is a woman of faith, she could probably see the differences between the White Moon and the DMC, their goals. While DMC's methods are extremely harsh, the way that Nuxui is, she'll probably agree that the ends justify the means, and has no interests in reviving her old kingdom (or has no memories of her old kingdom), and given her religion, she (or another DMC) could easily try to justify their methods with excerpts from the bible (God causing the floods, for example). I recently played SCV and got some inspiration from Pyyrra (??), so that's probably one of the reasons behind wanting to push her towards DMC instead of White Moon. It's require some work, but I figured I'd try. Unless it's against the rules or something, then I can give up the DMC and make her White Moon. Maybe further down the road she can be purified, or try to be purified... wishful thinking, but even if she meets a tragic fate, I'd like to try her out (within reason for the shop, of course.) And yes... there could be other ways to work in the Phoenix...

Updated: since she cannot possibly be a nun given her age, I've made her a Postulate (on her way to becoming a nun), and since she can't have a Nun name yet, her name is now Bethany Wyatt. Critique away... especially those attacks. I don't want to make her overpowered...
