 A growl interrupted the silence and then a moan of pain. "Gosh I am so hungrrrry." Nisha pouted a little as she laid sprawled on the ground looking up in the sky. "I suppose just laying about isn't going to get me anywhere." She flopped her body over before pushing up to a seated position and looked around. There had been more game recently around the border lands then in the Pridelands, so maybe Nisha would start there first just to check it out.
Looking around her home quickly to make sure all her valuables were hidden away and things were in order she nodded her head pleased, they were. " Alright~ here we go then! I hope I am successful!"

On the edge of the borderlands himself - though he didn't realize it - Rakuree was stalking a lizard. Not for a meal - lizards upset his stomach something awful, as when once in desperation he had tried eating them because he was so hungry - but just for sport, out of boredom.
"Get back here you slinky stinky skink~!" He pounced again, deliberately falling short, his tail swaying back and forth behind him and up in the air like a flag, a broad toothy grin on his face.*
So absorbed was he in his game of leopard and lizard chase that he didn't notice that after a small span of time, he and his prey were no longer alone.

Nisha had been walking for some time now and she let out a happy sigh when she realized that around the corner would be the border. Separating the Pridelands and the Rogue Lands by stone. She paused when a male voice rang through the air and her ears perked curiously. A bit wearily Nisha moved cautiously and peeked from behind a bush just to be on the safe side. "Oh." It was a leopard, a green leopard. He didn't sound or look evil but it was hard to tell most times.
She bite her lip and decided whether or not to make her presence known. After a few minutes she through caution to the wind and decided to speak. "Hello there." Nisha spoke calmly not wanting the other to attack her out of shock. "What are you doing?" She asked out of curiousity.

Rakuree tilted his head curiously, still staring down at the lizard. ".....Well that's interesting... I never met a lizard that could talk before! That's kind of sudden...." His ears had perked forward to face the small creature on the ground in front of his paws as he laid down and continued to stare at it.
"I was chasing you around because I was bored, but, erm.... I don't think I hurt you, did I? I wasn't meaning to. You okay Miss Lizard?" His tail swept back and forth lazily on the ground behind him. Apparently this leopard was either stupid, not paying attention in the slightest.... or the third option could be that he was toying with the lioness, something that depending on one's personality, could be very appealing, instantly irritating, or simply amusing.

She couldn't help it, a giggle escaped her mouth before she could stop it. " Right behind you. It wasn't the lizard talking am afraid but me. I am Nisha it is nice to meet you." She watched as the leopards head turned around to blink at her and she waved her paw in greeting. She was about to open her mouth to speak so more but was interrupted by a fierce growl. Her stomach was angry at her for not feeding it fast enough and she blushed. "S-sorry about that, it has been some time since I last ate."
She moved closer towards the green leopard and hoped he would be interested in joining her on her hunt. Leopards were fiercely skilled at hunting as well as climbing. " Care to join me? We can share our meal afterwards."

The green leopard tipped his head to the side again, grinning at this unexpected appearance - less unexpected than a lizard suddenly talking anyway. "I'm Rakuree'fotu, but you can just call me Rakuree, if you want to." Another big cat was much more interesting than chasing a lizard, and he was happy to see someone, anyone, out here, and it showed in the expression on his face and the way his tail twitched.
"Certainly I'll help you hunt! I'm not very hungry myself, but I am bored, and hunting is so much fun! I haven't been in this area of the borderlands very often though, so I'm not sure how much game there might be here... we might have to go a bit further, near the base of the mountains..." He tipped his head to indicate the distance, not very far to two healthy adult cats of any species. "I know there are mountain goats there, and klipspringers." Even though he wasn't hungry, he licked his chops at the thought of a klipspringer.
"But sure, I'll help you hunt~ Having an empty belly, and being bored... those are the worst things in the world besides being injured!" He grinned a toothy grin again.

Wow that name was a mouth Nisha thought privately before smiling and nodding. "Raku-ree." She nodded her head before looking back at the pridelands. I suppose it couldn't be too bad if she were to journey a few feet away from home. "Klipspringers...mmm." She licked her lips at the thought of meat. "Yes I would have to agree. Being bored can... be horrible. Alright then! How about you lead the way as you know where we are going? Though I can't venture too far from my home. I hope that is okay."
She watched as he wiggled his tail around as if hypnotized before she blinked and looked away. "I haven't have klips in a very long time." Her claws peeked out and she needed the ground for a moment before standing. She waited for the other male to stand waiting for him to show her the way to her yummy lunch.

((woo! had time for one more reply before i gotta leave work~ 8D ))
"That's fine~! I understand some lions and things can't or don't like to go far from home, that's okay with me." He grinned again in an overly cheerful manner, a bit of a sparkle coming to his bright eyes. "Would... you care to race there??? I love racing... Although... I guess we can't race if you're not sure where we're going..." A momentary look of sadness came over his face, and his ears dropped, but only for a second.
"Wait! We can race! We could just...." He lifted his head and his eyes scanned the distance, tail swishing happily when he had spotted what he was trying to find. "We can race to that outcropping of rock right there!" This time he lifted a paw to point where he meant.
"Would you want to?" There was so much hope in his voice that it would seem cruel to refuse, especially since he had so generously offered to help the lioness in her quest for food without want of any himself.

She eyed the other and found him to be sincere. She liked that in another and she was usually a good judge of character. "U-uh sure," Nisha blinked in surprise, it had been sometime since another asked her to participate in some sort of activity. She looked to where Rakuree had pointed, it didn't seem that far. She smirked playfully at him before taking off and shouted over her shoulder. "Last one there is a rotten hide!"

"H-hey!! That's cheating Miss Nisha!! he shouted in protest after her, feet already churning under him in order to catch up. "Everybody knows that you have to say 'one two three go' before you start you dirty cheater!!" Despite his words, his voice - rapidly catching up - was happy. It was the rare occasion that he actually found someone willing to compete with him, and racing was his favorite form of competition aside from climbing.
It felt exhilarating to feel the earth under him as he thundered after her, quickly enough catching up, then pulling slightly ahead, nothing but wind in his fur and clods of loose earth under his paws. He skid to a stop once they had reached the outcropping, only winning by a slight margin, panting to catch his breath, his tongue lolling out in front of a smile as he faced the lioness. Higher above them were the aforementioned mountain terrain and klipspringers therein, none the wiser to the predators that were presently below them.

She chuckled and slowed down just a little so the male could keep up with her which he did quite quickly. Breathless she stopped alongside the female and laughed. "It looks like you are the winner in this round Raku!" Her stomach was bothering her once more and she looked at the beasts below them. " It looks like we are in luck." She licked her lips and took out her claws in preparation. "On the count of three we attack okay?" She watched as her companion nod his head quickly. "One...two...THREE!" On the last number they both moved and attacked.
It was sometime later when their bellies were fully that Nisha let out a happy food-coma induced sigh of pure happiness. "Thanks for the help." Nisha felt her lids grow heavy and her tail move back and forth in contentment. She would stay here a little while with Raku and simply enjoy his presence until it was time to go home.
