The Venture Marshes~ A dangerous place but a prime fishing land. It is custom for young adult Fire Cats to make a trip here as a right of passage. Freesia walks lightly through the brush, treading as carefully as possible. It is rumored that the Venture Marshes are a dangerous place. This is her first time coming, her first time leaving home. She can feel the butterflies in her stomach, a mixture of nerves and excitement. So focused looking around, Freesia doesn't pay much attention to her footing. There is a large squish as her foot sinks into a particularly wet part of the ground. She pulls her foot out immediately, trying to shake off the mud as she makes a face of disgust. "Eeeeewwwww," she squeals. "That is so gross."

Anchoret flicked her tail as she walked lazily around the marsh. She sighed to herself, 'Why can't there be any bad guys to fight, or monsters to slay?' She thought to herself. She shook herself out of her daydreams of monsters and evil-do'ers as she heard a squeal of disgust. She made her way over to sound and watched from the brush. It was mud, there was nothing she could do against mud... Only the bad guys.

Freesia finds a non-swampy part close to where she's standing and plops herself down in the short grass and dirt. Her large tail flicks with annoyance as she looks around the unfamiliar land. After a few moment of pondering she sighs, handing her head. "This is no use," she mutters to herself. "I thought I could handle the marshes, but I really don't know what I'm doing." Suddenly, she hears a rustling in the tall grass to her right. Perhaps it's a monster!? She crouches, trying to keep from shaking, as the rustling grows closer. She just about looses her nerve when it stops. Freesia gulps, perking her ears up a bit and leaning closer to the grass. Then, something springs forth from the grass! Freesia shrieks again, falling backwards in her panic. When she's able to regain her senses again, she sees a frog hopping away.

Mana lay perched in a tree watching them both, occasionally fanning her wings. She smiled lightly and leaned a bit closer to get a better view. She lover the marshes, and had often come here to spend time alone since her first adventure.
