The Great MawA large canyon that stretches from Radiant Garden to the ruins of Hollow Bastion, the castle where Maleficent resided. In this empty place the famous '1000 Heartless battle' took place, where Sora and the fighters of Radiant Garden faced off against a swarm of the black creatures.

 Rufio Bon Herenheim "Memories are the key. I need to know..." ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ ★ ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ As Rufio descended into the area where the great 1000 Heartless battle took place, the Sneak Army cut him off and knocked him to the ground. Rufio laughed and rolled away from it again, leading it out into the clearing. This should be good enough. All right beast, let's see if I can defeat you. Grinning almost from ear-to-ear, Rufio turned to face it again, only for his eyes to widen at the sight of laser beams shooting towards him. "Holy...!"
Once more, the keyblader jumped out of the way and rolled along the ground, turning to stare at the smoke rising from the ground. "That was a bit too close. Guess I can't take my eyes off of you for a second, huh beastie?" Rufio stood there watching the Sneak Army, trying to predict what its next move would be. It wasn't long before he noticed it preparing for another attack, and this time he moved in as quickly as he could, trying to keep his movements just sporadic enough so that he wouldn't be an easy target for the Sneak Army. Once close enough, he leaped for its neck with Zenith outstretched, preparing to impale the beast and bring it down. He only hoped he could get lucky enough to down it with this strike. ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ ★ ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄

Jak Ramsay  As Jak reached the Great Maw with Rufio the heartless got infront of Jak and leaped forward. Jak still running slid underneath the beast and thrusted his keyblade forward, hitting it in the chest. He turned around still feeling a bit if pain from the sneak attack earlier. He casted a healing spell in him when a beam headed his way. He looked at it wide eyed and dove to his right avoiding the laser beam. While on the floor trying to get up the heartless rushed forward attacking with its horn. He placed his body flat on the ground as the horn missed but cut open his shirt. He placed the keyblade over its horn as he grabbed it with the other hand. The heartless then lifted it forward as Jak let go sensing him in the air slightly but sent him behind the beast. He landed on his feet and jumped onto it's back grabbing onto it's horn again. This time he lodged the keyblade into the center as it tried to buck him off.

 Stealth Sneak & Sneak Army  The two large Heartless followed the Keyblade wielders to the Great Maw. They weren't going to lose their prey and they did attack them after all.. The Heartless could only think very limited though. Kill their targets, steal their hearts, how to kill them. The Stealth Sneak and Sneak Army cloaked themselves once again as they circled the two like sharks. Looking for any kind of opening to strike.. The Stealth Sneak stopped and fired the fearsome lasers from it's eyes while the Sneak Army charged at them, using its fearsome horn to strike at Rufio. Rufio Bon Herenheim "Memories are the key. I need to know..." ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ ★ ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ When the Sneak Army vanished before him, Rufio knew his attack wasn't going to hit its mark and fell to the ground, landing on one knee. Tch! Now where did it go?! Glancing around, he tried to spot any kind of distortion in the surrounding area, but because of the location he picked it was harder than he thought. They are, after all, similar to chameleons, but trying to spot these quick-footed creatures amid a battlefield such as this was nigh impossible at the moment.
It wasn't long before Rufio was hit again. This time he was sent flying into a nearby rock wall. He winced as he fell to the ground. "Ugh. J..Jak!!! Be careful! We need to figure out a way to beat these guys. Once they become visible again, we can't let them fade again or we're going to be in some serious trouble!" The young keyblader rose slowly, preparing his keyblade again. Looking around, he had an idea. Smirking, he looked around at the ground they were standing on. We need some dust or smoke or something...think Rufio. What spell does your partner have?
After taking a few short moments to think to himself quietly, he remembered that his partner's only spell was Cure. While that would indeed be helpful, it wouldn't exactly help with his plan. Sighing, he continued to look around at his surroundings, trying his best to figure out where the next attack might be coming from. I might need to rethink my plan...but somebody has to do something. Closing his eyes, he took a long, deep breath before opening them and preparing another Thunder spell. This time however, instead of aiming it directly at an opponent, he summoned the lightning to strike the ground and stir up some dust. After casting the spell, he groaned and looked around. That's the second time I've had to use that spell in a short amount of time. I can probably use it about two, three more times at most? Then I'll have to rely on my instincts. Gripping Zenith tightly in his hand, he waited to see if the scattering duststorm would help reveal the location of their enemies. After all, they may be invisible, but the dust would clearly outline their shapes for them as long as his plan worked. ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ ★ ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ Quote: Actions: Thunder spell was used to conjure up a dust storm. Attempting to make the enemies visible so the keybladers can fight better.

Jak Ramsay As soon as stealth sneak and sneak went invisbke he knew the battle would get harder. Luckily Rufio allowed Jak to momentarily see where the strike was coming from. But before he could the heartless had attacked which gave Jak little time to react. Doing what his instinct told him he leaped to the left to avoid the beams. It hit scraped by his side injuring his rib cage. Jak, didn't take a second thought about what he was going to do next. He ran up to the heartless while holding his side with his left hand and his keyblade with his right and leaped forward forming his body into a spear as he held his keyblade forward hoping Ro make contact with the heartless head on. Stealth Sneak & Sneak Army Neither Heartless was prepared for what Rufio had just done. The Thunder spell he cast hadn't been directed at either of them, but the result was worse than the damage could have been. As the dust & dirt began to sting at their eyes, they grew angrier. As the Sneak Army moved to continue its assault against Rufio, the Stealth Sneak was barely able to avoid being caught in the full force of Jak's attack. The Heartless had managed to turn just enough to avoid a deathblow, but its tail was cleaved off in the process. Both Heartless, furious at the new turn of events, became more vicious in their attacks. The Stealth Sneak turned and lunged quickly at Jak before he could land, hoping to not only damage him, but to impale him with his horn. The Sneak Army on the other hand began charging up an Energy Blast, focusing still on Rufio. Whatever it took these two Humans must die. The Heartless desired their hearts, and the Humans had injured them. They could not leave the battle alive. Quote: Stealth Sneak: Lunge (Target: Jak) Sneak Army: Energy Ball (Target: Rufio)

Jak Ramsay Jak managed to do some damage on the Stealth Sneak by chopping off its tail. But before he could land, the heartless had lunged at him. He turned his head seeing it was coming and.since it was so close he had to think fast. He right foot landed nearly a second before impact and he twirled while avoiding the possible impaling but was sliced across the chest ripping through his shirt and jacket. Since he was still close he jumped inti the air while flipping the keyblade upside down hoping to stab its back. Only.until he jumped up into the air did he feel the pain if the slice and he reacted with a loud and painful grunt. Quote: Jak takes to the air as he attempts to stab into Stealth Sneaks back.

Rufio Bon Herenheim "Memories are the key. I need to know..." ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ ★ ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ Rufio smiled, realizing that his plan was working. However, it had a somewhat unexpected side effect: the Heartless were becoming angry and their attacks became more dangerous. If the Keybladers didn't finish this fight soon, they might end up wearing themselves out just trying to survive, and that wouldn't be good for either of them. Without his memories, the young man wasn't sure if the Heartless ever actually became tired or were even capable of exhausting their energy.
As he thought about this, he noticed the Sneak Army preparing an Energy Blast. Jak had managed to deal some damage to the Stealth Sneak, but the Sneak Army was still in near-perfect condition. Jak's doing well, that's good. But me? I need to figure something out soon. Sighing again, he prepared to dodge the attack. Whenever it was coming, he was sure he'd be ready for it. Rufio brought Zenith before him in a defensive posture, preparing to roll to either side and rush the Sneak Army as soon as the moment was right.
Sadly, as soon as he glanced down at Zenith and realized the stance he was taking, images began flashing through his mind at such a rapid pace. Images of him on various planets, battling against Heartless and...and Nobodies? W-What is this?! It...it hurts... Falling to his knees, Rufio clutched at his head and began to scream. Without realizing it, he was struck by the Energy Blast and injured gravely. It didn't seem to matter as he collapsed to the ground holding his head, screaming more from the pain of all the memories of battles with the Heartless and the Nobodies than the physical pain he was feeling.
When the images stopped, Rufio's eyes shot open and he lay there, tears streaming down his cheeks, soaking the ground his head lay resting on. I don't understand. Just who was I?! It was now that he felt the physical pain that wracked his body. Forcing himself to his knees, he summoned Zenith again and used his keyblade to help him stand. Rufio's body was shaking, but his mind was as steel now. Staring into the eyes of the Sneak Army, he nodded quietly. "I...I believe I've fought your kind before. Yes, I definitely saw one of your kind when...when those images started showing. Heartless...and Nobodies? I don't understand it, but I do know I can't let you beat me. Maybe, just maybe once I kill you I'll learn more? That settles it for me. Screw this pain, screw whatever you do from now on, I'm taking you down right now!" With that, Rufio took a deep breath and glanced towards Jak. "I could use some healing when you get a moment Jak!" Shaking his head, he looked directly into the Sneak Army's eyes and quickly dashed towards him, zipping to his side and flipping over him, slashing at his back repeatedly to deal as much damage as he could before the Sneak Army could retaliate. ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ ★ ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ Quote: Rufio regained some memories! Stealth Sneak & Sneak Army The Stealth Sneak was furious. Its opponent was a jumpy little mouse of a man that just wouldn't sit still! As Jak leaped over it and cut into its back, the Heartless let out a pained roar before turning and attacking again. This time it tried to hit Jak with its Laser Eyes attack. Sneak Army on the other hand had just been struck. A deep gash had been cut into its back and it was furious. When Rufio landed, it turned and tried to cut the Keyblader down with its Laser Eyes attack as well. The Sneak Army's opponent was seriously injured and shouldn't be able to move like little Monkey Man that the Stealth Sneak was fighting. In the process, both Sneaks dropped out of stealth, giving up the illusion of invisibility until the dust storm faded. Quote: Both opponents drop out of Stealth! Jak Ramsay Haha. I got you right where I want you. But I meed.to.help.Rufio or he won't survive the attack. Jak took his keyblade and pointed it at Rufio as he yelled out, CURE! But he didn't notice what the heartless was doing as he turned he saw as the laser beam headed his way. He placed his keyblade up as it stuck the keyblade. Sadly some of the beam didn't hit the blade.and Jak was then badly hurt as it hit his gut, arm and shoulder. He took a few steps back as he winced in pain grunting and breathing alot heavier as he started waiting to see what Stealth Sneak would.do next. Quote: Jak cures Rufio and takes a bad blow

I need to know..." ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ ★ ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ After being healed, Rufio quickly dodged the Sneak Army's attack and glanced over towards Jak, ready to shout his thanks. However, what he saw worried him greatly. The keyblader chose to ignore his opponent and rushed to Jak's side. "If you were injured, why did you heal me? You should've healed yourself. I don't want you getting killed. Just rest a moment and Cure yourself, I'll try to hold them off until you're ready again."
Rufio knew that taking on both opponents at once without being able to tap into his full abilities was risky, but he also knew that he couldn't let Jak get hurt anymore. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before opening his eyes again and watching both opponents closely. Which one do I attack? The Stealth Sneak's almost finished, but the Sneak Army's more dangerous. Think Rufio, think!
After a short amount of time, he decided and charged at the Stealth Sneak, sliding underneath it and stabbing upwards at its stomach. I sure hope this finishes you! I can't wait to see for sure, I need to get back to Jak! After emerging behind the Stealth Sneak, Rufio jumped on its back and leaped off of its head to land in front of Jak again. "Bring it on you beasts! I won't let you lay another hand on Jak, got that?!" Please, please hurry Jak. I doubt I can win this fight by myself. ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ ★ ▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄ Quote: Rufio attacks the Stealth Sneak & requests that Jak heal himself.

Jak Ramsay Panting heavily he saw as Rufio rushed to his side telling him to heal. Rufio was right. Jak is in an horrible condition yet his ego makes him continue to fight. He nodded and painfully but cheerfully smiled at Rufio. He rose he keyblade up into the air casting the healing spell on his self. Most of the major wounds healed and was ready to fight again. He walked to Rufio's side and looked at the heartlesses with a smirk. Quote: Jak casts heal on himself and returns to the battle

Stealth Sneak & Sneak Army The Stealth Sneak went to attack Rufio after he rejoined his friend, but before he could move, it collapsed, all of its life force fading away. As soon as it perished, the Sneak Army rushed forth, Lunging at both Rufio and Jak, hoping to do them in before they could flee or dodge, or even perhaps launch a counterattack. It was now two-against-one, and even as simple-minded as the Heartless are, this one knew that the battle was not going well for the Heartless. If things became too desperate, it considered the option of fleeing. Quote: Stealth Sneak perishes! Sneak Army: Lunge (Target: Both Rufio & Jak)
