 Joey sat under a tree flipping through a baseball book. He wasn't really a fan, but his brothers were and he had to one up them. Too bad everything he read didn't stick. He tossed the book away. "Damn books, nothin but trouble..." He took his baseball tossing it in the air and catching it. He was getting tired and bored, so he yawned extra long and collapsed. "So effing boring, I wanna kick some guys a**.." Continuing to mumble as he laid there, complaining.

 Emily walked at a relatively slow pace, taking careful steps due to the stack of things she was carrying. She'd been asked to deliver these boxes of papers to another co-worker and being that she wasn't often the type to turn some one down when they needed her help... she agreed. Balancing the stack, she looked down at a paper that had some writing on his and let out a small sigh. Just where was this place exactly? She must be walking in circles by now.... At least she thought she was.. "Through the park was fastest way hmm?? " She let out another sigh followed by a bit of frustrated grumbling.

Hearing a grumble, he flipped over and to his suprise, it's Emily! He laughed jumping up and padded over to her. "Hey, I thought I was going to die of boredom!" He looked at all the stuff she was carrying. "Geeze Emily, why are you carrying all that by yourself." He shook his head. "You are gonna fall, give me more then half, I wanna help yah." He had a big grin on his face, Emily had made his day by showing up. His grumpiness vanished.

He short tirade came to a rather abrupt end at the sound of a familiar voice. Looking up she gave a small smile. "It's really not as bad as it looks.. I'm just doing a favor for a co-worker." She chuckled softly. "I'm use to carrying these boxes of papers.. but if you like you can help.. I just don't know how long it'll take to deliver them.. I've been walking around for what seems like hours trying to find this place." She frowned. "And I'm afraid that the papers might be something important and needed urgently.." She shuffled her small feet, Her small form heaving with yet another large sigh.

"Don't worry, I'm sure everything will work out, if they complain I will teach them how to talk to a lady!" He would probably call them punks if they treated her bad, but if they say something mean, he was ready to get his fight on! Nobody talks to his g...hmmmmmmm. He shook his head then gathered up most of the heavy stuff and winked at her. "I bet we can find it easier without so much to carry. Where do you work?" He wondered what working was like, he lived in a house with a bunch of noodles, rent free, and free food, was she in debt at all? He wouldn't ask, but this kinda pissed him off.

She chuckled some. "Oh... I'm sure they'll just be happy to get these boxes... " Gathering what was left, she looked back at the address and pondered a moment, Pink jewel stone colored eyes going over each number slowly so as to memorize it this time. "Oh, I work at a small office building as a receptionist. The people there are nice enough but lead busy lives so.. I'm happy to help when I can.. It's not like I really have to work.. I still live with my moms after all so.... It's nice to just have a bit of extra spending money."

"Oh, yea, having spending money is good, just wasted all mine on a piece of crap book." He picked up the boxes. "Ya know you can ask for help when you need it, this job is too big for you...err, I mean it could have been." He didn't want to make her think she was weak, she wasn't weak at all, but she was little, and these things could have fallen on her and hurt her. "Maybe we should hang out more often, I can be useful."

She gave him a genuine smile. "Books can be useful.. I like to read.. They help awaken my imagination.." She glanced over at him. "It was a bunch of boxes to tote all at once wasn't it... But the others lead such busy lives.. I couldn't say no to helping lift some of their burden." She blinked at his next comment. "Perhaps.. But I think if you tailed me at work the boss might get a bit angry for some one else doing my job." She chuckles light heartedly.

"Well I could just sit outside and ugh...read! Yea, if it isn't about sports...Maybe some scary stories? But then I wouldn't be bothering your boss." He didn't realize how dumb he sounded. And that he was trying to make excuses to be around her more. "I mean, I could be a helper for you, for free."

She thought about this some. "I couldn't see how that would hurt any.. You sitting outside and reading or something.." She offered him a smile as they started to pass by yet another building. "I wonder.. Hold up a second.. maybe some one inside this building can point us in the right direction."

Joey eyed the place, he didn't like the look of this place. "I dunno, this place looks kinda, can I come too, I would feel better if I could come.... there are some bad noodles in this world. Met a VooDoo queen who eats souls with her man, then he eats the body parts she doesn't use...." He felt very uncomfortable leaving her alone.

She thought heavily on his words. " I don't see a problem with you coming..." She knew there were some bad noodles out there. Her mother's friend was a body guard for such reasons. "I know a body guard.." She chuckled. "My sister Suki want's to become one too..."

"Wait Emily! You need to be careful, I have a bad feeling about this place...' He tried to walk faster but dropped a box, a few sheets flew out. "Dammit!" He stopped to pick up the few sheets of paper that flew out. He put the box's down. He picked up the papers, not caring about crumpling them up. He put the box back on top, shoved the papers in then putting the cover of the box.
