It had been a few days now and Asch was getting antsy to leave this place. He was so damn bored. At the very least he wasn't restrained anymore, but just sitting here and doing nothing was really getting to him. Nevermind that he was going to be off duty and bound to headquarters for a few more days yet, but sitting in your own room was different than sitting in the infirmary.
Because of his impatience and growing irritability, he was getting increasingly snappy with the nurses. However, they had brought him the news that morning that he would be leaving some time that day so long as his final tests turned out to be okay. It had been discovered that he had some minor bruising in his brain, ungrading his injury from a concussion to a contusion, but there had been not been any signs of permanent damage. After checking on his head wound and changing the bandage on his shoulder, he would be sent on his way.
To pass the time, Asch was currently reading a book that he'd requested one of the nurses to bring for him. Distractions like these kept him quiet, thus they were more than happy to provide them.

"Okay, keep it a little more to the right- Right, I said. No no. No, that's left-HosweetArc-egh!" There was a soft thud at the door leading into the infirmary room. The source of the sound, who had been trying to keep his voice low as he gave directions, was now gritting his teeth and making a very scrunched up and pained expression. The cause: his wheelchair being turned/veered off course at the last second, hitting the door frame not with the side of the wheelchair itself -hooo nonono, that'd be too kind--but with Alba's leg. As in, the injured left leg that had been impaled with a sizable piece of glass fairly recently.
Spook the Chingling peeked over the right-hand handlebar, and Hazel the Deerling peered around the back of the chair. "Ching?" Oopsies.

Having been thoroughly engrossed in his book, Asch's green eyes only lifted from the pages when he heard the thump of something against the doorframe from across the room. Followed by some muffled words that didn't sound too pleasant. However, the red head was rather indifferent and didn't seem to care as he simply went back to reading.
However, it was about this time that a nurse had come back with his test results and also heard the commotion. She passed Asch's bed, the agent not so much as blinking as he turned a page, while she opened the door to let Alba in.

Alba took some deep breaths, trying and at last succeeding to blink the dots away. "Thanks," he said at length to the nurse that opened the door more for him. To his relief, she also took over the task of steering for the two small Pokemon, and pushed him over to the bed he had been using during his stay. At that point he was asked to wait so his bandages could be checked. Alba nodded and let the nurse get back to her work. He glanced sheepishly over to Asch, hoping the commotion wouldn't be held against him.
"So uh... how's the shoulder?"

Well it sounded like Alba wanted to make conversation, Asch noted after the man had been wheeled over and started talking to him. The agent sighed and shut the book with a snap, before turning to look at him impassively. "It will heal," he told Alba while the nurse made a stop at his bed first.
"Well Agent Fabre, your tests results were good and you can leave just as soon as we bring your medications, and change your bandage as well. However, you are under strict orders to stay in the base for a few more days to heal and rest. Head injuries are not to be taken lightly even if there isn't permanent damage. So don't push yourself. Got that?"
The emphasizing of the last two words drew a roll his eyes as Asch swung his legs over the side of the bed. "Fine. I got it." Sheesh. Pass out in a hallway once and you never live it down.
As the nurse went on her way, Asch glanced at his belongings that sat in a chair next to his bed. He'd already changed into some clothes, a black t-shirt and sweatpants, that were considerably more comfortable than the hospital gown. His uniform, belt of pokeballs, Rocket Dex, and other things he'd taken on the mission still sat there.
"How is your leg?" he asked in return as he reached over to pick up the belt of pokeballs with his good arm, studying the four orbs quietly.

"Healing also," Alba said, copying Asch's response. Except he couldn't help but add jokingly, "Assuming I stop hitting things with it." Spook and Hazel fidgeted guiltily by the doorway. Alba gave half an eye roll, and got the appropriate pokeballs from his belt to recall them. "Alright, you two. Back you go." They disappeared without a fuss.

Asch's frowning lips pulled back slightly into a small smirk at Alba's joke, then just merely watched as he returned his two Pokemon. This directed Asch's gaze back at his own pokeballs, and he picked up one, staring at it thoughtfully. Something wasn't right though, as Asch pushed the button on one and it popped open to reveal its empty contents.
There was a puzzled look on the red head's face as he simply stared at the ball wordlessly.

After a moment or so with no audible response, Alba looked over again to see what the other patient was up to. His face fell at the sight of the empty pokeball. It didn't take much for him to piece together what it meant. Thinking for a bit, Alba did remember seeing a Pokemon being caught by the Galactics' robot thing. He offered a sympathetic, "I'm sorry."

Asch looked even more puzzled at Alba's words and glanced up at him. "For what?" he asked, clearly confused about what the other Rocket could possibly be apologizing for. He then looked back at the ball, and frowned once more, then started glancing around the room.

Alba took on a look of confusion as well. Hadn't that been Asch's Pokemon that had been- Ohhhhhhh. Oh no. "Asch... How well do you remember what happened the other day? At the museum?"

Asch paused and stiffened at the question, his brows furrowing. But he didn't look back at Alba. Instead he just frowned. "What kind of question is that?" He muttered, trying to avoid answering. He then looked back down at the pokeball and set it aside again.

"A pretty good one, I'm guessing." Alba sighed. "Look. You, uh... You don't have to talk about it with me, if you don't want to." He shrugged. "But I'm not going anywhere in a hurry if you do."
It was true. Until his arm healed, Alba was going to be stuck relying on this folding wheelchair, being literally pushed around in the friendlier sense by other people or his own Pokemon. He was going to be fairly easy to track down for the next few weeks, if not longer.

Asch drew a long sigh. He was irritated with himself that he couldn't remember. It was frustrating, and from what he understood, only him and Alba had returned from the mission. Thus, the man sitting here with him was currently the only person that knew what happened. With this in mind, Asch finally decided to swallow his pride.
"Not much," Asch then finally relented in an answer to Alba's previous question. "I remember being in the museum, and hiding out in the closet. After that..." He went silent for a few moments and then shook his head. "Next thing I remember is waking up here, restrained, being told I passed out in a hallway."

Alba raised an eyebrow at the last part. "Wow." He shook his head. That meant Asch was missing almost a full day's worth of recollection. "I knew that blow to the head wouldn't do you any favors," he said quietly, for now deciding not to comment on how much time Asch had lost. "You left against doctor's orders to give your report on the mission. From what I've heard, you must've passed out on the way back."

He nodded once, for he had heard as much. But the fact that he knew did little to console him. Asch didn't remember it, and there was a lot more he still didn't know.
"What happened?" he then asked of Alba, his gaze distant. "Where is my Pokemon?" It seemed that his fellow Rocket knew, considering what he'd said just a few minutes earlier.
