Jude wasn't sure how or why he was so awkward around Molly but he had his guesses as to why. At first he thought perhaps just avoiding her all together would be plausible mostly due to recent happenings in his life that were either embarrassing or just plain strange. It wasn't until he got a 'Valentines' from her that he decided that it was not the best way to go about things.
The Valentines wasn't anything romantic but it did smack sense into him. Why avoid a friend?
Just because she had features of someone precious to him didn't make her that person. It was Molly. Simply Molly. Molly who was sweet, friendly, and fairly outgoing. Molly who just wanted to make friends...
Molly who didn't deserve to be avoided or abandoned just because Jude was feeling afraid of how he behaved in front of her, and besides she promised him that she'd play the fiddle for him at least once and so Jude had decided on a whim to wander out of his room and toward Molly's door giving it a small knock and he waited.

Molly had…an interesting string of events as of late. She’d consider her time…very eventful so far! Not only that, but she was learning a lot too…even if she was a bit confused as to…what she exactly wanted but ah…that was a topic for another time. Molly perked up from looking over her planner notes as there was a knock on her door, and stood, moving over to open it.
“….Oh!” She smiled. “Hello Jude!” She hadn’t seen the Death hunter around for a while…not since he thought he was a dolphin princess…and…oh! “Your coat! Congratulations!” It seemed like he was advanced!

Jude gave her a small uncertain smile as she greeted him though the smile grew into a slightly startled one as he nodded a bit, "T..Thanks. I um...Not that it makes a whole lot of difference..." He said softly as he shifted a bit in place in one foot to the other. It was happening again that nervous knot in his stomach.
'Jussst calm down. It isss jussst a ghoul.'
"I was just wondering if ...We could have a small chat about things?" He said softly his hand reaching up to rub at the back of his neck, "a..and maybe you can play your fiddle for me? I mean if you want..."
Yeah this wasn't awkward at all.

“Oh…I think it means something, though! It means you put a lot of work and effort into your career!” She beamed.
“…Oh? Oh, sure!” Molly opened her door wider and invited the Death hunter in, moving back to sit on her bed now. “How have you been?” She seemed open enough to talking and playing the fiddle for him later, and waited for him to answer her question.

He actually chuckled a bit, "I guess...so. It feels so empty sometimes," Jude shrugged a shoulder as he wandered into the room once she let him in. The young man gazed around the room for a moment trying to collect his thoughts.
"I have been alright. Just trying to stay alive as best as I can. How have you been?" he asked quietly. Jude crossed his arms over his chest.
"Listen I ... I am sorry I've been such a spazz every time you see me," Jude was sure she didn't think much of it but still he wanted to apologize. "I am not...normally that way."

Molly just smiled. “If it feels empty, Jude, then you’re not putting enough value in it.” The young woman paused. “Oh! Me? I have been well! Thank you for asking! I’ve been meeting new trainees here and there, and helped out in the labs with Miss Clarice, and went on a mission with Miss Candace and Deryk to Alaska…and then recently, I took a portal to the Mall of America and went shopping for Valentine’s Day things! I also spent time with Bix at a comic book store, and he bought me a comic book!”
The Mist trainee paused, and then looked sheepish, rubbing her cheek. “Oh, I’m so sorry! I rambled on and on…” She blinked. “You’ve…been a spazz? Uh…I don’t think you have, so don’t worry about it, Jude!”

Jude had been listening patiently to her as she talked about what she'd been getting into and even smiled a little as he listened though when she apologized for it he shook his head, "No. Don't...Don't apologize. I am glad you are making friends and having a full life as possible around here," he said quietly to her.
It only made him realize just how disconnected he was to everything but that wasn't Molly's fault.
"I..I have been a couple of times...Like when we first met I ... made an offer that I probably shouldn't have," he murmured clearing his throat, "at least I offered it in a way that was a little um...Creepy maybe? I just...I was trying to be friendly that's all," he averted his gaze from hers for the time being just to collect his thoughts again. "There has also been...That time or two when ... umm...I acted strangely. I just..."
He sighed deeply frustrated at his own inability to say what he wanted to say, "The first time we met I wasn't prepared so I just ...fell all over myself I guess. You reminded me of someone."

“It’s the only one I got now. Of course I’ll make the most of it.” Molly assured, tilting her head.
“It’s okay, Jude, really!” Molly tried to assure him once more. She wasn’t going to uh…admit that that one offer had, indeed, been rather odd…after all, it’d be mean to throw back his attempt at kindness! “…Oh?” She murmured. “I do?” Whom could she remind him of, she wondered.

"Of course..It is all anyone can do is make the best of it," he said quietly with a nod. After all if one just wallowed around they'd be pretty miserable in this place.
Jude furrowed his brow a bit, "I..I guess it's okay otherwise you wouldn't want to talk to me anymore but still...I just. I feel like I keep screwing up or just ... Not my usual self," he shrugged a little as he sighed softly. At her question he nodded a bit, "Someone that wa...is special to me. Though..She's still asleep."
He frowned. How long would she sleep? He didn't know.

Sadly, at this point in time, Molly didn’t really have an idea of what Jude’s ‘usual self’ was like, so all she could do was nod her head and go with it. Which was exactly what she did. “…Oh?” Still asleep in the pods, huh?
“…Is she family?” Molly questioned curiously.

Jude was in that awkward moment where not even he knew what his usual self was anymore. He paused at her question and he shook his head a little, "She was sort of my girlfriend," he said feeling a blush creep up over his face as he tried to figure out how to explain the situation.
"We had decided to ... umm... break up for the time being until we could get back together," He chuckled softly feeling foolish and strange explaining this to someone he only talked to a handful of times at best.

“…Ooooh.” Huh. People…came here with their girlfriends? For some reason, Molly thought this to be a bit odd…given her circumstances as to why she was here. “…Oh I see…” She wasn’t prying too much, was she? She hoped not!
“How wonderful you were able to come here with a loved one, though!” Or so she thought…right? That was a good thing? She didn’t get that luxury…

"Mmm, I ... I guess so," he said softly as he moved to sit on the edge of her bed. He suddenly felt heavy and weighted down. Now that he was thinking about it...
"I feel like I probably doomed her by having her follow me," he didn't feel like she was prying if anything it was easy to talk to her and just let these thoughts out before he could stop himself. For a moment he stopped and glanced over at Molly. "..I'm sorry. I shouldn't be bumming you out with this talk. Anyways, I guess you just kinda bowled past all my walls. Not a bad thing, right?"
If anything it made it easier for Molly to befriend him.

Molly frowned. “…I…I don’t think she would’ve followed you if she didn’t want to, right?” Hopefully?
The Mist trainee shook her head. “Oh, it’s alright, really!” She tilted her head. “…Oh…I did?” She looked surprised by this, giggling a bit softly before she fell silent. “I don’t think so…”

He let out a sound it was a thoughtful one at her question, "I don't think she would have...I mean...I did talk her into it but...There were...circumstances. I wanted to keep her safe and this seemed our best option. If I had known then what I know now...I probably have ..." He stopped his brow furrowing a bit and then he just shook his head, "No. It isn't any use thinking about that, not anymore. What is done is done now..."
Jude smiled a little at Molly and nodded a bit, "I like talking to you Molly it is very," he was reaching for a word, "comforting, heartwarming I guess? I enjoy it. You have a very optimistic way about you."
It was like talking to the sun in human form, at least for him.
