Seated neatly outside in the usual patch of grass right outside the Non-Forbidden forest, was Evelyne-Aglaya. The Grand Bois had her roots that hung from below her hips dug deep and firmly into the ground, absorbing just a few of the nutrients, and anchoring herself comfortably. Surrounding her were her usual winged friends. Some fluttered about in a grand cloud about the demon, while others remained perched on her in various area's, like little pins; though most buried into her thick white hair. A few littered around the ground she sat on, walking about through the blades of grass, while the majority just chilled where they were. It was a delightful evening, to the demon. She'd done quite a large chunk of her school work, and simply could not resist the call of nature that drew her out! Or the precious face her new Rose Peldin gave to her when the idea of going out was inquired. Thus there they were, settled by her usual hangout spot. A few students would pass by, even go into the forest, while most just mosied on their way to other engagements.
The small Peldin was tightly curled up in Ev's lap, basically the shape of a ball, sleeping quite peacefully. She'd won him from the Scarentine's games, and babied him just as she did her Catapiller. Her manicured fingers gently stroked along the delicate frills just behind the Peldin's head, absolutely enchanted by the adorable creature. She had gone on quite the spree... and gathered herself quite the collection of them now. It was only natural, though. After all, back at home, numerous pets lived in their grandios house! And having a group of moths following her around all the time... well, she'd just gotten used to having lots of critters with her at all times!

CHARCOAL USED FLAMETHROWER! CRITICAL HIT!
ENEMY PUMPKINCHU FAINTED!
And thus Mort fist pumped the air triumphantly, grinning down at his game boil as he walked. It had been a long time since he played Pocket Monster, but it was still as great to him as the first time he'd tuned it to his Gameboil. Old school graphics or not, the Orange version had some classic elements to it that could not be replicated - like how Mortimer had hacked the crap out of it for lulz. But that was in the past, and now he was playing it straight. Finally, finally, he had beaten the gym leader that had been thwarting his efforts for a good several days.
Not watching where he was going, he walked straight into the cloud of moths. Several fluttered past or landed on him, causing the boil to yelp in surprise and accidentally toss the Gameboil. It hit the grass with a dull thud and shut off.
He stared at it. Stared at its now black screen. Stared at its didn't-save-and-now-is-black screen.
And then he OTL'd to the ground. "Graaaaaaaaaaaah."

Ol-j-man ohman. I almost replied to your response PM with something inappropriate. |D *MUST MAKE GOOD FIRST IMPRESSION* Enjoying the serenity found with her darling moths, and precious Peldin, Ev was a bit delayed in noticing the zombie boil strolling by, until her moths quivered anxiously. Her masked eyes darted up to spy the boil, gasping in surprise as he flailed from her moths, motioning to stand, but... paused as he seemed to come down to her level. She hadn't noticed the Gameboil that much, only knowing that something had flown out his hands, but he was her main concern right now, "Oh my! Are you alright?" she asked, smooth voice holding a small tint of distress. His position looked quite defeated! Roots lifting out of the ground, she slowly shifted to her knee's to move closer to him, resting a manicured hand gently on his back, leaning down to try and get a look at his face. Her other arm cradled the tiny Peldin close, who was now slowly peeking his tired eyes open from all the commotion. Her moths landed onto Mort's back as if it were a landing dock, casually walking about, as well as simply standing there.
Ev tried speaking again, "Are you hurt at all? I apologize if my moth friends obscured your view~" she'd been told once of their habit, but she was so used to it by now, that she didn't always remember!

musicaloner7 PSHA. Although looking back on what I wrote, I kinda opened myself up to it. XD Though more of the flying things crawled upon him, Mort didn't flinch this time. No, he was still reeling over the loss of his save file because FFFFFFFF NOW HE HAD TO DO THAT GYM PUZZLE AND BOSS FIGHT ALL OVER AGAIN. Where is the reload button? Where was it, Life?
Overreactions aside and done with, he felt a warm hand on his back and a soft voice in his ear. "Mrrr . . . No hurt, just . . . Game shut off."
He turned his head to her and gave a ;A; to display his emotion. "Without saving," he added with a sigh, before a moth fluttered and attempted to land on his nose; the zomboil's nose twitched, scaring it off. "D-Didn't mean startle r' something, not usually so 'motional . . ." Probably the lingering effects of the rainbow punch saga during the Scarentines party.
It was then that he noticed the ghoul had roots coming out of her lower half, at which point Mort couldn't help but stare. o3o "Look like a tree." o3o??

Ol-j-man *SUCH A PERV* |'VV .... but yes. You set yourself up for it, bby. |} But I just thought to myself, "No... no, just reply to the rp, and let it go. |D " NEXT TIME, THOUGH.. |DD Ev lifted her head some as the boil gave such a defeated look, her delicate brows drawing together slightly. Game..? Shut off? She looked around, and spied that... something or other, on the ground. Was that a game? She wasn't sure what it was! And he didn't save? Games could be saved?! far too many questions... too much confusion, "Oh.. I'm sorry I don't quite understand." she replied apologetically.
Though the moth had fluttered off, it only returned, with a few more of it's pals, to which two perched onto the boil's glasses, right on the rims, and another pair clung onto strands of his hair, to dangle from them like they did on the feathers that barely covered the ghoul's almost nude chest. As far as Ev could tell, he was quite distressed. The baby Peldin in her arms blinked tiredly at him, but offered a cute little smile, a soft sound coming from it in greeting, "Is there anything I can do to help? Can you... not get your game back?" she was so out of her element... what was she even talking about? "It's ok. You're allowed to be emotional~" she assured, rubbing his back lightly. It was the best she could do in offering her comfort to him.
As her roots were pointed out, she glanced back at them, giggling softly, "Ah yes.. I am a Grand Bois, a nature demon. I was given roots for legs, but.. " slowly the roots twined, and formed the perfect ghoul-shaped legs; sleek and slim.

Mort remained quite still as the moths perched on his hair and glasses, knowing by now that if they wanted to be somewhere, they were probably going to stay there until whatever whims they had dictated otherwise. So he simply slipped his glasses off for a brief moment to see the ghoul better.
Oh dear. Slim, sleek legs. Eyes wandering upwards also revealed the other, ah, revealing bits of her clothing - or lack thereof, really. It didn't matter that Mort's eyesight was horrendous without help, the fact that he was seeing so much skin, period, was . . . Well he didn't know what to feel about it. Embarrassed would've been a first year Mort's reaction, but a slightly more worldly second year as he was . . . took a step up - awkward appreciation. It was clear the ghoul was comfortable with her fashion and body. "Mrrr . . . Zombie," he responded lamely (in his opinion), slipping his glasses on carefully so that the moths were not terribly disturbed. No more staring, no more staring, staring was impolite.
And then, like it only just then to hit him, Mort remembered his game system. He reached over and plucked it after a little scavenging (it was hard to see past the moths' wings), sitting properly once the Gameboil was in hand. Again, he sighed. "S'okee, was just game," he mumbled, not wanting to embarrass himself further in front of this demon, who was probably above such trivialities like Pocket Monsters. "Means j-just have play again n' hope win against gym leader."musicaloner7 WELL HEY I CAN PLAY THOSE GAMES TOO. >8V Bring it ooooon.

Ol-j-man FFFF! OK GOOD! I AM GLAD WE ARE ON THE SAME PAGE! >8EEE Taking no mind at all to his wandering eyes, probably a little used to it? Or more so oblivious to it. He was just looking after all! They were an odd thing to see! Her roots... yeah.
Her moths fluttered onto his shoulders as he shifted to sit better, Ev's hand leaving his back to return to cradling her Peldin along with the other one. With the introduction of his own breed, she giggled softly again. It was quite clear to see he was one.. and she was naturally fascinated by it. Her own masked eyes were staring at his intriguing eyes, causing her to have to look elsewhere so as not to be rude! not that he would have noticed.. but still! it was about the principal! Some of her moths began to burrow into his hair, only their wings poking out now, treating it as if it were a nest. Those that were on his back began finding a few different places to settle, like his arms, and on his shirt. " Might I ask your name? I am Evelyne-Aglaya Yeva Verochka, but you are free to simply call me Ev." it was still a little odd incorporating a nickname, but the reaper she'd met before thought it would be a good idea to do.
As the Gameboil was plucked up, her attention changed to it, staring at it with no particular emotion, as her hand went to stroking her Peldin's frills, "gym.. leader?" she leaned forward to get a better look at the strange device... but just simply could not understand, "There's... a gym in there?" she asked quietly.

From peldin and moths to masked faces and bare skin, well, he couldn't help but glance about a little more; Ev's own staring wasn't something to bother him - if anything, it was like secret permission to keep looking. The sensation of the moths finding their niche also was distracting - he couldn't help but giggle, giggle, as one began to search beyond the limits of his shirt sleeve and tried to go through to his armpit. "What a-are - Eeeeeeeee~ - what they be?" Mort managed to ask between laughs, holding an arm out before he accidentally smashed one out of reflex.
It was no surprise that his head was a popular resting place: his brain was humming gently in the background as it continually produced electricity; for now, no moth was shocked during their burrowing, though who knew what would happen if Mort got startled again?
"Oh! Er. Um. Mortimer, Mort is short," the zomboil added, taking the demoness's long name in stride; he once knew another demon ghoul whose name was hard to pronounce. Sally knew he wasn't going to be able to remember most any of that, so a single syllable name like "Ev" was definitely the way to go, much like he referred to himself as "Mort". "You . . . n-not play Pocket Monsters before?"
He was purposefully going the optimistic route. There just wasn't any way for someone to not have heard of a Gameboil . . . right?

The nature demon lit up as Mort started to giggle from her moths playful behavior, which seemed contagious as she too began to giggle quietly, "They're moths. The night version of butterflies, if you will. They're curious creatures as you can see~" Ev always appreciated those who didn't mind her moth friends to inspect them. It was harmless, of course~
With a name given from the boil, Ev smiled more, and bowed her head to him politely, "It is a pleasure to meet you Mortimer. And might I say it is a very nice name to have." It sounded luxurious! The second Zombie she'd come across with a very appealing name! Her Peldin gave a cute little sound to Mortimer in greeting too, extending it's slender tail to lightly flick at the boil's shirt sleeve. It made Ev giggle softly, moving a bit closer for the Peldin to inspect Mortimer more.
Pocket Monsters..? She looked up to Mortimer again, tipping her head curiously, "No I don't believe I have. I don't have pockets so perhaps that is why?" she took a glance to her revealing skirt, shifting the cloth as if to try finding a secret hidden one she'd never seen before!

"Aaah, no no. Is name of game," Mort explained, biting his lip as the peldin picked at his sleeve too - he hadn't rallied how ticklish he was! Then again, nobody had tried. "Don't a-actually need pockets for play, but is handy putting Gameboil in one when on mov-whoa!"
The selfsame curious moth from before had managed to flutter its way through the holes in his ribcage and was now fluttering about in his chest cavity. The zomboil made a face, not because it hurt or anything like that, but because it was, well, weird. How else could you describe the touch of an insect's wing against your lung, or the sensation of something crawling on your sternum?
"Think found secret passage way," Mort joked, lightly tapping his chest for Ev's benefit. "Very strange feeling. Now n'stead've butterflies n' stomach, has moths n' chest!"
. . . Insects didn't poop, did they? Oh Jack he hoped not.
"Er, how 'splain game . . . Mrrrr. Have played any others?" he asked her, still being painfully optimistic.

So it was a game.. referred to as 'Pocket Monster', but.. didn't require the use of pockets? How strange! It earned a rather perplexed expression on the ghouls face.. until that new look contorted on the boil's face.
At first Ev had no idea what was going on. She hadn't seen the little moth sneak in! But.. she could hear it.. it's 'voice' muffled. Looking along Mort again, trying to seek out the small fluttering creature probably lost in a fold of cloth, she was surprised when the location was indicated, "Oh..! " her dark eyes widened behind her mask in shock, shifting the Peldin to one arm, "I apologize for that. Would you like for me to call her back?" that silly little moth was just too curious for her own good! And Ev certainly didn't want to make her new company uncomfortable with her somewhat bold companions! But his joke put her a little more at ease, a soft giggle slipping up from her as well. Hopefully the little thing didn't die in there... though that would be interesting..
She smiled a bit more at his question, "Oh yes! I've played many! " she went on to list off plenty of games that were... mainly card games, with a few board games to boot.

"Is fine, so long's moth doesn't bite pliz." The longer Mort heard her list go on, the more he smiled - and the more he died inside, figuratively speaking. Taryn's lack of knowledge had been almost adorable, but at least she knew what video games were. Ev was . . . almost entirely lacking in what even a Gameboil was, let alone the concept of a game system.
This, coupled with the moth who still found his innards far too interesting, made him quite in the mood of wat is this i don't even.
The zomboil took a careful breath once she finished (not wanting to accidentally squish the moth with the expansion of lungs). "Haven't heard've some them," he replied, shivering a tad when some of the moths on his head decided to shift positions - it was a pleasant feeling, like someone playing with his hair. No wonder ghouls liked it! "Mostly play video games, l-like Pocket Monsters. Each game like virtual reality, new world, new story; m-makes feel like hero. Like n' Pocket Monsters, control person who battles minipetish-y-like creatures n' tries get gym badges to prove skill. Er, play any video games for self?"musicaloner7 Oh also, would you like to open up this thread for some npc interactions with a new npc staff? It could add some more lulz plus possible developments, says the mysterious Zoo-meister.

Ol-j-man Sure! c8 I don't quite understand it, but we certainly can do that! Uhm.. I add a [!] to the title, yes? c| "Oh no, not to worry. Though these one's have mouths, they don't have teeth." she chuckled softly. She was also blissfully unaware to the distraught that was starting to take shape inside the boil, and so continued to smile sweetly to him in his dismay.
Stroking her Peldin softly, the little thing curling back up, and nuzzling to the ghouls bosom affectionately, Ev listened and watched Mort intently; much like a moth. Video games? Now there was something she'd never heard before! Her lips move to mouth the word to herself, trying to make sense of it. A game.. in a video? You could do that? Ah but as he explained.. she grew quite intrigued, " Really? That does sound quite fun! I've never imagined myself a hero before.." she pondered the idea, her stroking to the nuzzling Peldin slowing as her thoughts became consumed with such a thought. "That sounds very exciting!" she finally concluded, smile lifting more, "I can't say that I have played a single one. Nor heard of them until you just told me!" but she was more than interested!

<That does not sound exciting at all.> A voice interjected seemingly coming from nowhere. It wasn't talking per se, more as to projecting its words telepathically to the two. <Is that all you students do in your free time? I was informed that this school needed help. >

She hadn't - She never - what. Mort gave her something like an owlish stare of disbelief, perhaps even some horror.
So much for optimism.
And then of course, before he could try and explain the light of his world, someone intruded on their conversation. Or their thoughts even? Mort heard the voice as clear as day in his head, startling him with a small grunt; the poor moths clinging to his head got a small shock as a result. "Wh-Who's there?" he called with a slight frown, adding quickly, "Er, who's there, sir?"
It was a sir, right?
