Oh how he both missed and appreciated not living in Moonfall any longer. He loved the busy streets and shopping districts of the town. Loved all the chances it provided to meet new people and just get lost window browsing. Yet the redhead had started to enjoy the less enthusiastic town of Lumena. Quieter yet still had ample shopping opportunities. But most importantly, he had his own place that he shared with a roommate he deeply cared for.
So why was he lurking about the streets of Moonfall once again? Well he did have family in his home town. Family he probably should have made more of an effort to see lately. He'd just been busy with...nothing that was a worthy excuse. Okay so visiting his family had slipped towards the back of his mind. What? He had a boyfriend that he enjoyed spending time with! And then there was the shopping. The walking and enjoying the streets of Lumena. Getting to know his new home town.
Yep. No good excuses that would be acceptable to his mother. Who had already badgered him about making this trip in the first place.
Or at least that's what he was supposed to be doing. Not browsing the windows of the shopping district. Slowly moving in the opposite direction from where his parents resided. Yeah, he was easily distracted. And also failed at paying attention in general when his nosed was pressed against the glass, eying a new accessory or outfit. Which was how - and not for the first time - he ran into a random person.
"Aw shite- err, I mean...I'm so sorry!" His cheeks flushed a little at the slip up, emerald eyes flickering away from the shop window to see who he was apologizing to. And then he blinked. This random stranger looked awfully familiar..."I know you! Those horns of yours are just as lovely as the first time I met you." Alright so that probably wasn't the best way to greet someone again, especially when you didn't know them that well. But Lycander never did anything by simple standards!

The swirling chaos of Moonfall was both depressing and invigorating, if that was even remotely possible. He loved how alive it made him feel and yet he hated having to push his way through a crowd any and every time he needed to go somewhere. Sighing, Theofratus Menniadis finally found a small clear patch where there was no one. He probably ought to be getting a move on, get some groceries before the shops closed. But he didn't particularly fancy diving into the squirming mass of human bodies that filled the shopping district. He surveyed it again with is eyes. Well, option one was to dive headfirst into that mass. Option two? Starve. Theo cocked his head for a moment and decided that it was very much unappealing to be found dead on his apartment floor because he couldn't be bothered to get himself groceries. Then there was option three. Eating out. Again. For the uhm... ninth time that week. Breakfast he skipped. Lunch was important. So was dinner. Which meant he had been out for most of his meals the past week. Joy.
So that meant shopping it was. Theo took a deep breath, as if he was a diver leaping off a cliff and started making his way through the crowd, twisting and turning like an eel to avoid running into people, having his toes stepped on and a variety of other things that came along with the joys of shopping. Especially on a Friday evening. When everyone wanted to buy something for dinner. And work had ended. Just, sort of. Not really. The point being that it was ridiculously crowded. Despite his efforts, he still did manage to crash into a person. His strained patience snapped and he turned to rail at the person who had crashed into him, only to be slapped in the face with some sort of compliment about his horns. Whatever he was going to say flew from his mind and he deflated somewhat.
"Oh. Uh." He looked familiar. But Theo couldn't place him. Then he remembered the ball. Hallow's eve. And Rajih. And how everything about it pretty much turned into an overall disaster. Yup. Now he knew where. "Err, right. My horns. Eh." Theo half-smiled, stuffin ghis hands into his pocket. Clearly he had no desire to make pysical contact. "Lycander, was it?" Theo was just shooting out names, but he believed it was Lycander. If it wasn't then eh... Awkward silence could ensue. though he doubted it since Lycander had seemed rather chatty the last time they had ah... bumped into each other, so to speak.
