So the girlfriend and myself are planning to spend 6 days together after my finals are done in May, but there are some questions we're curious on.
First off, she wants to get a dress for A-Kon 23. Do you guys know of any trans-friendly shops we can purchase one? If not and we have to resort to shopping in a regular shop, any tips on how to purchase a dress/try one on without suspicion?
Secondly, what restroom do we use in public and at the convention?

Um, first things first, what city/town do you guys live in, if you're near Houston, I know the TG Board there and can get you some help from them, but other than that, I'll have to look online for a store around you're city/town.
As for being sneaky, I can't help you with that.
With the restroom question, it depends on whether not you're worried about arousing suspicion. If you don't care, go into the bathroom for the gender you identify with. If you do care, then go into the restroom of the sex you're dressed as.

Girlfriend's coming up from Houston to be with me in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. I live north of Dallas in Carrollton.
We plan to do shopping in Carrollton/Plano/Grapevine/Lewisville though.
As far as her wearing the femme stuff on the public transit to the convention, would this be a bad move?

When is your lover making the trip, if I can find somewhere in Houston for her to shop, would you consider doing the shopping there?

Very off topic but worth mentioning-I live about 2 hours away from DFW.As for shopping I can't really help you though sweatdrop

If I can get the site, I'll post it here for you biggrin
