To say Rep ached all over was an understatement. At the moment he would kill a man with his bare hands to get some paracetamol. The toll he'd taken on his body over the last few days fighting with various people was cashing all its cheques at once, especially the one with Candace where he'd learned that a woman really could kick like being hit by a truck. He'd looked in the mirror earlier and was sporting a faint black eye. Fantastic.
He'd decided he was going to reward himself some time to relax as a reward for simply being good enough to stay alive. So he was currently relaxing in one of the communal areas in a chair, treating himself to one of the few food items he'd brought with him, a rather large bar of mint aero. He gave no ******** about the fact this was getting little flakes of green chocolate on the chair, and was contentedly washing it down with a glass of water.
He had to remind Tracey yet again that he would cause him tremendous pain one day.

Book in one hand and a large mug of chocolate milk in the other, Rin found her way to the common area again. Humming a merry tune as she found a spot on her favorite love seat and sat down.
Cracking the book open in her lap as she took a deeep sip of her milk chocolate before glancing up quickly. Then again as something fiery orange caught her attention.
She looked like a deer caught in headlights at what she saw. Cheeks still puffed ever so slightly with drink. She hadn't yet realized what he had in his possession. Just that it had been him.
So much for a peaceful winding down.

Rep noticed someone come in and glanced over looking nonplussed. If it was someone else cruising for a fight he was going to be really pissed off. It was only as he recognised the intruder as his neighbour, who he hadn't managed to bully into wanting a fight yet that he relaxed and leaned back in his chair. Was just a woman. An inconsequential one at that. Rin wasn't a /threat/, she was just Rin, as far as he was concerned.
He obnoxiously slung his feet up on the nearby table as she finally spotted him.
"Want a picture? It'll last longer."

Rin swallowed her mouthful of drink and frowned scornfully at him.
"Can't you ever be nice?" She snapped at him in annoyance. Trying to take another fleeting sip of her drink before adding.
"I heard what happened to you and here I thought it might have made you more humble. My mistake, clearly." She tried to bury her face in the book as if Rep didn't actually matter one iota to her.
You know you were worried.
It was true. But only a little bit. Who knows, they might have stuck her with someone worse. Someone who was an actual threat and not just a pest.

Rep grunted. "Whatever you heard was a lot of s**t. I got injured on a training run, that was all." He was perfectly willing to lie about this whole thing. "And no. I can't be nice. Not to a woman anyway. Principal of the thing. You guys like the abuse anyway."
He tossed a square of chocolate into his mouth and chewed it lazily, keeping your mouth closed while eating happened to other people. "And nothing's ever going to make me humble miss Rintintin, I KNOW I'm great, anything else is just a minor setback."

"EXCUSE ME?!" She all but ROARED from across the room as she was up and he had her full attention again.
"You got your a** beat by a GIRL Willy. You demean us, you demean yourself." She cut quite the image of a snorting bull kicking up dust from behind the gate as she spat out the words.
Still, she held back. Distracting herself by the rest of her chocolate milk until the mug was empty. Rep was on thin ice now. His next move had no chocolate milk for decoy.

Rep rolled his eyes. "I told you that was bullshit, someone had an /inexplicable/ grudge against me and spread that lie. And don't ******** call me that, my name is Rep." the chocolate had been keeping him happy but it was no longer managing to do its job either, why did women always insist on barging in, getting in his face and ruining his day? He had to be irresistable to them.
"Women don't need me to demean them anyway, most of you do it jussst fine on your own."

She decided to ignore that. Instead, pointing at his face.
"Oh. What about that black eye? And the fact when I went looking for you I was told you were in the infirmary. Recovering from getting beaten unconscious by Candace? In fact. I heard she carried your fat a** in herself." She gave Rep a mocking smirk.
You just admitted you were looking for ******** you Byr, nobody asked.

Rep gritted his teeth, clenching one hand into a fist, in a gesture which made every muscle in his arm scream in pain. It was somehow satisfying. "I told you, training accident, nothing to do with Candace. Maybe she found me when I was out cold, but she certainly wasn't the /cause/ of me ending up like that."
He took a sip of his water. "Besides, what the ********, you seem to be keeping pretty close tabs on my wherabouts. You in the stalker division?"

"And I told you you're lying." She relaxed back against the armrest. Clearly he was just going to bullshit all evening.
Still. He caught on surprisingly well for a dumb ape.
"Is that you admitting I'm right?" She turned the question back on him.
Smooth.
You know it.

Rep lost the thread of the conversation right about where she made to turn his accusation she knew a lot about where he was against him. He gave her a puzzled look. "Admitting you are right? You aren't right b***h, and I have no idea where you are getting s**t from." He threw his hands up in a gesture of giving up on trying to argue against her assumptions.
"Listen I have had enough of PMS okay. Twitter is bad enough. I can't be bothered with my stalker trying to tell me where I got my black eye from when I'm trying to enjoy the last of the decent eats I have."

"Or you're just planning on being a giant d**k all night. I don't know why I expected more of you." She smirked over at him one last time before in a show of 'you don't interest me' she truly did bury her nose in her book and began to read quietly.
As if he no longer existed or mattered.
I guess he kinda did deserve that.
Damn right he does.

Rep rolled his eyes and shook his head. "I don't know why you ******** did either. I'm not here to entertain you you know. " He loudly chewed his snack before with a sigh folding the wrapper up around it and stowing it away.
"I have no ******** idea why no one here can have a civil conversation without trying to lecture me on how wrong I am. When I'm not. I know I'm not, they aren't going to convince me of s**t." he didn't care if she wasn't even listening to him he felt like having a rant. "******** Americans, seriously. I'm not here to dispense hugs to faggots and women. I'm here to kill s**t and take names."
He thumped his fist on the chair. "And I want a ******** DRINK."

She pretended to ignore him. Pretended. She was just reading the same line over and over... that was until drinks were mentioned and she lifted her gaze.
"You're also a drunk now?" She toyed with him really. She wanted something to drink too. Though clearly her idea of drinking and his were vastly different.

"Depends on your definition of a ******** drunk. I like to go out with my mates and get shitfaced, sure. That's part of a night out." he was in flat out ranting mode, beatings tended to do that to him, he was really starting to feel the burn of the decision to come here, he wasn't about to give it up, not a chance, but still it was easy to miss alcohol and a life of wild parties and doing absolutely nothing of benefit of society when it was taken away.
"So I like a drink, aye. But where I come from, being a sad lonely old guy with a beer makes you a drunk. I'm not a drunk. I'm a... a.. social drinker." Yes. That sounded convincing.
< Socially acceptable drunk you mean>
