User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.He hadn't seen Glyph at all ever since... that night, and it only served to make him think that he had, indeed, been way too forward.

It left him feeling miserable and, well, weary. Was there anything he couldn't screw up ? Some days it seemed like everything he had an hand with failed, in one way or another - starting with his own first rebirth.

Was this one doomed, too ?

Why am I thinking like this ? He huffed, as he walked, away from the pantheon, toward the wildness, in hopes to clear his mind. Why does it feel like whenever I step forward, I end up taking two steps back ?

So much for brave and bold dragons.

User ImageForest's thoughts ran in a very different vein as he tended the wilds. He'd felt a called into the woods more and more lately, like a metaphysical itch, and had spent the better part of a week scarcely seen in the Pantheon. After his night with Xun... the glow had faded a few days later, making him wonder why he'd been so caught up by passion - albeit passion he'd held in the back of his heart - since it wasn't like him to be so... caught up in romance.

Still... the day he spent attempting to peruse the library had been spent mostly in thought concerning Xun. Glyph had enjoyed that night! And he couldn't really deny their enthusiastic professing of love was right, either... he was attracted to Xun.

But how to broach the subject? Perhaps with flowers and a request to converse? He wasn't too sure... He'd not seen Lifewater for days now, which was not terribly surprising, considering their various duties, but for a heart just beginning to accept things, it was an anxious time.

Standing before a cliff grown over with vines and flowers, Glyph stood still, attention turned inward as the plant life shivered and grew, blossoms bursting open across the rock face without his notice.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Eventually, the dragon did stop, near a lake - the lake Illisia had taught Glyph how to swim in, he remembered with a pang - and sat, letting legs and tail dip into the water, hoping the feeling of his element might help.

He remained there, still and eyes closed, until the scent of flowers caught his attention - a scent that hadn't been present before. Pure blue eyes opened, and he followed the tail of growth until he finally saw him.

Had Glyph come for him ? Through... No, it hadn't looked like Forest had seen him. Perhaps that was for the best. Hadn't he already done enough.

"...Hey." He finally said, weakly.

User ImageMotion drew his attention first and his gaze flicked to Xun only briefly before he seemed to actually register the other's presence and stood up taller, blinking as he squared his shoulders. Bare feet dug into the earth, moving little pebbles out of the way as Glyph looked at the other curiously, wondering why the other seemed so uncertain now.

"Hey." He returned, stepping closer, stopping just in front of Xun - not too close, but close enough to be within his personal bubble, "I haven't seen you for days..." Glyph murmured, sensing the other had something to say.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."No one seemed to know where you went." Yes, he'd been looking. In a way. Maybe.

The fact he hadn't hightailed it in the opposite direction upon seeing him was a good sign, right ?

"I thought I had scared you away." He admitted. "I was... more forward than I usually am." He wasn't sure why, really. But he wished he could grasp it again, that confidence he'd had that night.

"...But I meant what I said."
PostPosted: Wed Feb 15, 2012 5:04 pm

User Image"Oh? Were you looking for me again?" Glyph smiled at that, apparently pleased by the thought he was missed but remained silent as Xun continued.

What he had to say surprised Glyph and he laughed despite himself, arching a brow as he lifted a hand to affectionately toy with Xun's ear, "Which part?" His tone was teasing, glad and... more sober this time. "I've been thinking too... and I really enjoyed the other night, thank-you."

When Glyph's gaze met Xun's his eyes had gone a solid, deep amethyst colour like liquid gemstone. "I'm glad you came to find me that night, truly."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."...Well. The stripping, for one." The dragon said, sheepish. Seriously, what the hell had he been thinking ? Just talking about it made him want to jump into the lake and not come out of it for a good few hours.

"I..." Wait. "You did ?" He asked, suddenly hopeful again. He... he hadn't screwed up everything ?

He did not seem to notice how his tail had started to wag back and forth, like an overgrown puppy might have done. "I am glad, too. I missed... What we were." It seemed to make the most to sense to refer to himself and Illisia as the same, now that the one thing that had made them somewhat distinct wasn't an issue anymore.

...Wait, something seemed off with him all of sudden. The dragon blinked. What was it ?
PostPosted: Wed Feb 15, 2012 5:25 pm

"The stripping?" Glyph's brow went higher as he grin grew broader, "That so? What else?" He was curious now, tucking this information away for future reference.

A nod. "I did indeed. I enjoy your company, Xun." His gaze shifted to the wagging tail and he shook his head, amused by this entire exchange, "Don't be so nervous! I said you could talk to me whenever you needed, remember? I'll listen." Glyph's voice grew quiet then, intimate as he smiled, "I missed us too... a lot, actually. C'mon, let's walk, you're not busy are you?"

He turned to continue down the path, wanting to wander as they talked, "I was thinking... maybe we could do something like again? But with dinner and wine and proper music? I'm sure Echo wouldn't mind playing for us..." Already his mind was wandering over the people he knew that might be helpful in setting up a date. Echo, for her wonderful music, Rio maybe? Getting his advice on how to properly woo and court Xun would probably be a good idea... he wanted very much to sweep Lifewater off his feet.

As he walked, his hair shifted and points began to emerge, dividing into branches like horns as the leaves grew thicker, creeping up the back of his head and growing longer until a cascade of greenery fell down his back, mostly unnoticed as Glyph moved through the brush. His remaining hair had gone wild, fluffy and untamed. "What do you think?" He asked when he paused in the middle of discussing date options and turned back, a goatee having sprung up on his chin and the Aurion's horn dissolved into his hair.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show....He was enjoying this, wasn't he ? Damn ! Of course, if the roles were reversed, he'd be filling whatever he could for blackmail purposes, so he figured that was fair.

Through, he had to stop and think about it. "...Well, probably just the stripping actually..." Well, and feeling like he'd been king of the world, but Glyph didn't need to know that.

"Of course not." Too busy for him ? He wasn't sure this could even happen, really.

Through as much as Glyph was talking about what was more or less a date, well, Ti Lung seemed to have other things to focus on. Like the surprising amount of greenery, for one. He could only puzzle for so long as weither the 'offness' about Forest was his imagination or not before it slapped him in the face, really.

The tail slowly stopped his wagging, growing completely still, head tilting a bit. "...What are you doing ?" He finally asked, sounding very clearly like someone who wasn't aware if he should be worried or not.
PostPosted: Wed Feb 15, 2012 5:43 pm

"Okay, stripping then..." Playfully, Glyph tugged his trousers down over a hip to bare some of his skin as he grinned and pulled it back up with a cheeky wink.

However, when Xun stopped and asked him such an odd question, Forest flushed and suddenly felt very self-concious. Should he not of done that? What had Lifewater meant by stripping then?? "Ah... what am I doing? I..." He was deeper red now, though the hue was tempered by a flush of green across his face and nose. Perplexed and embarrassed, Glyph clasped his hands before himself and dropped his gaze, "I... was attempting to flirt? I think. Why??"

What, praytell, was Xun giving him that look for?

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.....He didn't know ?!

"No, not that. I am pretty familiar with what's down there, you know." He blinked, head-tilting growing more pronounced. Yeah, something was going on here... That, or Lindita had slipped hallucinogens in the lake water this morning. "Unless that's where your horn went, then Im not exactly sure what I think about that."

Another moment of pause. "...Through, whatever you're doing. That's hot." ...s**t, he hadn't meant to SAY THAT ! "I-Imean." He turned a rather comical shade of purple.
PostPosted: Wed Feb 15, 2012 6:04 pm

Glyph laughed, gave a helpless shrug as his blush grew deeper, encompassing his face and neck now, "Where my horn went? What in Creation are you talking about? I don't know what I'd think about that either..." Confused, he reached up for his horn, and blinked as the hand found empty air. Frowning, he swept his hand across his head, feeling only hair, "My horn!"

There wasn't even a stump... so it couldn't have possibly been stolen. For a moment, he looked rather concerned as the thought that maybe Xun was right flickered across his mind - but why would it??

The thought, however, stopped short as Xun spoke out again and promptly went a lovely shade of purple, just as Glyph found the first branch growing from his head and looked rather comically surprised as he followed it up then winced as pain arced through his shoulders. It was then that the greenery fell across his shoulders and he reflexively turned, "Oh!"

"Ow!" He called as another spasm ripped through his feet and he hunched over from the pain in both as the fabric of his shirt tore. He stood there, breathing through clenched teeth as the remaining changes rippled through him. Wood grew from his shoulders and his toes elongated into roots and bark-like skin covered his back, the same as his shoulders. It took several moments and when he caught his breath, he cast a look at Xun, disbelieving, "This is hot??"

It wasn't finished, however, as his overlong limbs suddenly ached and his spine spasmed as he grew, and grew... gaining nearly two feet in height. The new vantage point - looking down at Xun rather the up for the first time since he'd been reborn - made him grin like a fool. Wearing nothing but rags, he hopped and stood with spread feet, pointing at Lifewater, "Ha! I won that bet!!"

Ascended, and the first thing he decided to do was announce his bet's victory? Why not?

Feeling good, he rolled his shoulders and looked himself over, running a hand over his face and found the goatee, "Hn... I don't remember this." He stroked it thoughtfully for a moment before smiling at Xun, "How do I look? I feel so much better!"

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Well, okay, the whole pain thing wasn't hot. Through, really, what could he do ? What was he even supposed to do ?!

His first reflex was to go to Glyph and offer to support him, but... Well, apparently he didn't need that. That... was really strange, through it was becoming more and more obvious that Forest was coming into his own and that this was meant to happen.

...Wait. Wait. HEY ! What the HELL ?! And, suddenly, for the first time in his rebirth, he felt short. Sure, Tian Yue had always towered him... But Tian Yue hadn't shot up two feet in front of his eyes.

"Not yet, you overgrown bonzai." He said, impish. Most ill-fitting nickname ever, that. "I seem to remember that we agreed on equal power."

....Still, he did look down at tail and wings. Nope. Nothing new there.

"Hn." Well, the annoying height factor aside. "Well, I believe I already voiced my opinion on the matter."

Really. Hot.

Glyph pouted, "Oh, right. Well, hurry up and ascend too!" He laughed, obviously in a good mood.

Feeling as though the boundaries of his existence had been flung back to the horizons, Glyph stretched hugely, the swaying of his hair a soft of whisper accompanied by the mild creak of moving wood and the dull thunk as his shoulder protrusions knocked against each other. He sounded of the forest, as was right, and felt as though he'd finally shed a skin that had become too restrictive.

Flexing his toes, they dug into the earth and grounded him, the cool moisture just below the surface soothing to the lingering ache of transformation. Regarding his hands, the god noted the whorls with satisfaction before removing the tatters of his shirt - he did not discard the material, however, but fashioned it into a make-shift bag to tote the precious items back to the Pantheon with.

His trousers, too, were irritating. Too tight and too short now that he'd grown and come into his own. He tried adjusting the fabric as he shuffled from foot to foot until he grew frustrated enough that he dragged a finger down the side of his pant legs and simply ripped the trousers off. Adding that fabric to the bundle, he straightened and grinned, "There, much better."

Unconcerned with his nakedness, he selected a fallen branch and tied the bundle to it before resting the impromptu carry-all on his shoulder. "Now..." Xun seemed to be in a daze, much to Glyph's amusement, and in the hopes of snapping him out of it, Forest stepped in, tilting Xun's chin up a little so the other met his eyes and kissed him gently on the lips.

"You going to be alright? I'm fine... I promise." A tender smile followed the words and he gestured towards the bushes, "I believe we were discussing stripping and a date night?" Mischief danced in his eyes as he waited, still bowed over a little, resting his forehead against Xun's.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."Sure, you just tell me where the handy dandy magic switch is, and I will get right on that." The dragon king stated, voice deeply amused.

...Really, he even sounded like a tree. How strange ! Really, the whole thing... Well, it had all seemed to happen to quickly that he still half-expected to blink and come to the conclusion that his mind was playing tricks on him.

That, or see squirrels and bird nests come out of that mass of greenery if he dared shake it. ..It was tempting, actually.

Thankfully, through, Glyph did distract him before he could put said mischief into action - and was a fine distraction indeed. Really, the dragon could very easily get used to this. Even if suddenly being the shorter one was... odd.

"I am fine. I just... Well, I didn't expect that !" Really. It didn't even look like Forest had been expecting it, either.

"Well, you already handled the stripping part for me. That's no fun." He pouted. "Through a date would certainly be nice. Who's Echo ?" He remembered that the name had come up.
