While she had never been the type of person to be sentimental, seeing Gale after such a long time made her miss some of the other boys, even if it was just a little bit. Of course, she would never, ever admit such thoughts on pain of death, while was why she usually just ignored such thoughts until they went away on their own.
However, ever since she had that little conversation with Gale, she also remembered Dean - which led her to remembering how, if she did not contact some of the people that she actually missed seeing around and talking to - she might come to regret it one day.
Which was why, on the morning of Valentine's Day, she sent Bix a text and went down to the training field, a box of Godiva chocolates in hand; she had bought some over Christmas, but never really gave anyone anything - this, she figured, was a good time to get rid of the chocolates before they go slate... Or something. The rest of the boxes were in a bag.
She felt like Santa. Except instead of Christmas, she was giving out presents during Valentines. 8|iloveyouDIE Hey Bix. Up for a spar? Meet me at the Training Field asap.

Dragain No prob Boss! C yu there. Thankfully it wasn't the buttcrack of dawn like when Gale wanted to spar. Bix grabbed an extra X-men valentine and stuffed it in his pocket with a few hershey bars from the mix bag he'd gotten. He'd slipped valentines under everyone's doors but it was always nice to be safe (or give a girl an extra one... did Ariane have a boyfriend yet >,>?) Bix didn't take long to arrive and gave his old friend a cheerful wave as he approached. "Yo! Long time since we hung out!"

Nah, Ariane was still snoring like a pig asleep like a baby at the buttcrack of dawn.
"Yo? Who uses yo anymore?" She raised an eyebrow at him before grinning, "It has, hasn't it? And what better way to get reacquainted with each other than a friendly spar? Ah, before that..." She held out the box of chocolates, Bix's name written in what looked like black, permanent marker on the top right corner of the box, "Happy Valentines' Day?"

"I use Yo.." He stuck his tongue out at her. "If we can't even get real internet out here, than I can use Yo." He was surprised to get some candy from her and he did take it and actually pulled her into a quick hug. "Here you go!" He put some hershey bars into her hand along with a Valentine card. "Happy Valentines Day! No special dude? No Jerm?" he just assumed that her and Jeremy were a thing. He had since they'd woken up and saw her with him.

"Cyclops..." She actually accepted the hug, not that she returned the gesture. Staring at the card for a while, not sure if she should be happy, flattered or if this was a facepalm-worthy moment. After a moment, she settled on something in-between, giving him a smile - a genuine smile - before laughing, "Jeremy and me? Unless he suddenly became responsible overnight? Not likely to happen anytime soon... If ever. He's more like the not-nice-guy-friend trapped in the nice-guy-friend zone. Not all girls are attracted to the bad boys!"
Especially not her, sadly for Jeremy.
"Thank you. For these," She held up the hershey bars and card before putting them into the bag, "It doesn't mean that I'll be going easy on you though~"

"Well the only other card left was Rogue and Gambit making out and ehhhh.." Bix laughed a little and backed away, summoning his weapon and pausing a moment to wait for her to summon her own. "I don't even know him. Jeremy. Honestly I never even see him around much. I just assumed... You know what they say about assumptions though." Making an a** out of... blah blah. "You know girls say they don't like bad boys but then all the nice guys still end up last somehow." Bix gave her a nod and let loose with a few arrows in her direction. Warning shots, obviously, by the entire lack of aim involved. Thankfully her balls were on chains long enough where he could keep a bit of distance. HP: 50 / 50 Dmg: 0

"Sounds awkward," She laughed, summoning Kintama, her fingers wrapping around the chains tightly, staying still when he fired at her, flinching a little when some of the arrows got a little too close to her feet, "Maybe it's because nice guys are doing it wrong."
She waited till he was done, and then sped towards him, closing the distance between them and bringing on end of her weapon down on the back of his knee, "Only reason a girl will go out with someone? They caught her eye. See, if you're nice but don't make an impression because you're too nice?" She grinned and put some distance between them again, keeping a close eye on Bix's weapon.
"You'll be forgotten. The bad boys... They're like the class clown - causes the teacher grief and laughter... After the class graduates? It's the name of the class clown that the teacher remembers."

Bix 'oofed' and bent when the weighted chain hit him in the back of the leg. Thankfully he was a lot more quick on his feet than he was when they first began. He turned the trip into a forward roll and was up on his feet in moments. A few long strides took him far enough away to pin her with arrows, dotting up her right side. "Do you think I catch enough eyes? If I stand in bright enough sunlight, I can blind someone I'm pretty sure." He joked about his albinism with a grin. "So what guys have caught your eyes? Hmm? I know you look..." He was teasing now. HP: 40 / 50 Dmg: 8

Ariane winched when the arrows hit; while they weren't exactly real arrows, they stung the same way needles would, but a lot worse, "Very funny." She did grin though, at his little joke attempt, "Oh, I've been looking, alright... But not for romantic pursuits~"
Running after Bix, she spun her weapon above her, and then aimed for his shoulder, although Kintama barely grazed him that time, "If you win, maybe I'll tell you." Orrrr maybe she won't, "Yourself? There're a lot of pretty, capable women on the island, huh?"

"Now I have a little more incentive to win. I just love gossip." Bix laughed, thrwn to the side slightly as the flying weight winged his shoulder. He hopped backwards a few times, catching a quick breath and then lining up to fire on her again. "Maybe too capable?" Bix smiled. "None of them need me." Not to be their butler or their protector. Were the girls even looking for guys? Maybe he was just too clueless or inept to notice. HP: 38 / 50 Dmg: 4

"Really? Never knew that you were the gossipy type," She grinned, one hand momentarily letting go of the chains to rub at where she had been shot, although her eyes never left Bix, "Sometimes it's not about how capable you are." She took another swing at his side before trotting backwards, pausing to catch her breath.
"Sometimes, some reliable company's just nice to have," She shrugged, "And if it develops into anything more, congrats to you, I guess. Don't really know much about relationships, really... Just been in and out of a few." Mostly to gain the disapproval of her parents, "Someone once told me that everyone should marry their best friend though."
One of whom was already dead.

"Well theres not much outside entertainment, so I have to take the internal entertainment... DRAMA." Bix took a another swinging weight, spinning away as it clipped him once more. He unleashed another quick volley of shots at Ariane. "Well my best girl friends are either taken or uninterested. I'm okay with it though. There's more important things to pursue." Like not dying. It was easy, in the downtime, to worry about social lives but it went out the window when a dragon breathing icy fire was roasting you alive. "It would be nice to have someone to spend time with all the time though.." Bix nodded. HP: 36 / 50 Dmg: 6 Dragain I was under the impression we didn't get charges from sparring? @_@

"You sound like such a girl," She laughed, shaking her head with a grin as she tried her best to dodge, not that it was doing her much good; his aim had improved since the last time they were out on a mission, "But I agree... It can get rather dull around here."
She took another swing at Bix, but missed, although she paused ever so briefly to lean against his back, "I'll spend time with you all the time, but just so you know, you've been friend-zoned by me at this point in time~" With a chuckle, she pushed herself off his back, "I feel like I hadn't been spending enough time with anyone."

"Yeah I haven't seen you much." Bix swung his bow this time, since she was up close, attempting some hand to hand. He'd practiced and was getting better, landing a solid hit to her side. "Working? "Ugh," It was painful, but she was grinning as she took several steps back to try and minimize the force of the hit, "Not bad, not bad... Been working out?" Now that there was some distance between them though, she figured it was about time to shut Kintama up. The weapon was tossed in Bix's direction, but her own miscalculation had the weapon missing it's mark completely.
"That." She desummoned and summoned Kintama back into her hand, looking slightly annoyed yet amused at the same time, however she managed that, "Had never happened before."
