[This is set when Dara'moshra becomes pregnant with Hoth.] Upendo'mume sat within the center of the pride, more laying down then anything. Since their meeting at the edge of the pridal lands, he and Dara'moshra had become closer, a lot closer. It wasn't until recently though he had suddenly started to less and less of her which in turn had caused him to delve more and more into his work instead to supplement that time that he had used to spend with her.
Had her family found out about their meeting at the edge of the pride or that the two had become closer, more towards friends? Though there was that one time after a yearly festival... Maybe someone had told about it. The male frowned at the thought. While she was likely to be punished either way, it was he that would likely get the worse end of the deal considering he lacked any noble blood. There was no way he would get anything less then being beaten and exiled, maybe even worse then that if he was lucky. With a sigh, Upendo'mume laid himself down, out of the way and under one of the many trees with his chin resting on crossed paws.

Dara’moshra’s parents had indeed found out about her meetings with Upendo’mume. They were less than pleased that she had taken interest in a commoner. A marriage was arrange with a very nice male of noble blood, and they just could not see why she would want to dirty her paws mingling amongst such riff raff. Dara, on the other hand, had no interest in the male they wanted to set her up with. He was like the rest of them, though somehow worse. While much of the pride still viewed females as strong he seemed to think her weak, useful only for siring an heir. Why? Perhaps simply because she was a noble, believed to be sheltered and taught that children were where her life would lead, and that was it. She spat at the thought of him, a male she could not stand, even more so than the rest of the nobles within this pride.
However with her parents finding out also came extra guards, in the hopes that if she might be able to slip past one, but surely could not escape three of them. So now wherever she went so did her three shadows. She had managed to talk her parents in to at least letting her wander the inner parts of the lands, preferable to their plan of simply wanting to lock her away. So she moved slowly past those going about their business, her guards only a few steps away from her, hoping to spot Upendo’mume, but knowing that if she did she may not be able to speak with him with guards at side.

His tail flicked behind as his brain did nothing to stop thinking about her. Her. Dara'moshra. That's all he seemed to be able to think about to the point that work had been getting difficult despite his attempts to immerse himself into it. Upendo'mume sighed, rolling slightly onto his side as he tried to force her out of his but to no success, she was stuck there and he would just have to deal with it somehow. Pushing himself up onto his paws, knocking a pebble to the side as he did so with a sort of scowl on his face. Maybe time would help him since he was unlikely to see her again as it had already been quite a while since they had been in eachother's company.

The small group passed by many lions going about their business, and Dara could not help but notice the glances she was getting. Normally no one seemed to pay much notice to her. A respectful nod here or there, but not so many glances as she was garnering now. She knew why though, the guards. Dara usually was only in the company of one, at the most, but now with two more added on she was a lot more noticeably out of place closer to the commoner part of the lands. She grumbled lightly, glancing over her shoulder at the guards, who did not seem to notice nor care about the glances they were bringing her way.
Dara’moshra tried to ignore it as she tried to think of a way to escape the guard’s sight. If she could just get their attention elsewhere for a short time even she could slip away, lie in wait until they noticed her gone and left to search for her. Perhaps then she could move about more easily. Before she could even plan to put this in to action however she spotted Upendo’mume. He was getting up off the ground not too far away, and Dara wondered if she should chance going over to talk to him, or if perhaps she should try to slip the guards first..

As Upendo'mume turned to head back to his empty den to try to get some kind of sleep, something caught his eye. His head snapped back to try, ears forward and eyes hopeful to confirm what he had seen. Dara'moshra, with three sterner looking lions, most likely guards, trailing behind her at a bit of a distance. After almost a week of not seeing hide nor hair of her, there she was and under protection too. His expression sunk quickly enough though. They knew then since she had so many guards.
They needed to leave, there was no way they could stay in a pride that would oppress them in such a way. The male turned and moved down his typical route towards the outskirts of the pride, purposefully throwing his mane a bit more, hoping she would follow after him.

Surely he had noticed her, the male had looked her way. However as he turned to walk away she thoguht for a moment perhaps he had not, or maybe didn’t even want to any longer, however when he threw his mane it seemed a bit more..exaggerated. Perhaps it was some sort of message? Follow maybe? Dara glanced back quickly at the guards, wondering what he was planning, if anything at all. Whatever his plan she doubted it might work well with three guards tailing her. She noted where he had gone to and turned, quickening hew pace a bit as she trotted towards a crowd of lions and lionesses talking, seeming to argue about something. Then she sped up, charging at them, and before any could notice she had thrown herself bodily in to the lot. Chaos followed as the group all assumed one had started a fight, and so a fight followed. Roars and yowls of pain filled the air, and paws and claws zipped past Dara. She managed to dodge most of it, though took a couple smacks to her side and back. Luckily nothing too bad.
The chaos she created seemed to cause a good enough distraction, as the guards who had been instructed to follow and protect her now attempted to muscle through the fray to find her, and managing to make things worse in the process as paw was turned on them. Dara’moshra took the opportunity without hesitation, diving away in to the trees. She ducked and weaved around bush and tree until she had gotten far enough away from the commotion to right herself, and as soon as she did she sped up, making a bee-line for Upendo’mume, or at least where she believed him to have gone. "Upendo'mume?" She changed a quick call out to him, hoping the sound of fighting would drown out her voice should it carry back towards where the guards were.

Upendo'mume came out from behind a few trees, having come running at the sound of her voice as he glanced behind her to make sure that she wasn't followed before approaching her. "It's been a while since I've seen you. I assume your parents found out considering you seemed to have extra shadows." They needed to leave, the longer they stayed the more volatile the situation would be become for the two of them. He glanced behind him where the tree line was thinning. "Lets get out of here, lets leave to the rogue lands. Together." He turned and looked back to her, hoping she would agree with him. The male had nothing keeping him in the pride. His family was all but gone already and the situation now was only getting worse it seemed.

The male came shorty after she called out his name, and just as he looked around for any sign that she had been followed so did she. There did not appear to be any sign yet that she had, but it was highly likely that soon the guards would realize she was no longer back there and come searching. However his request, while what she had been hoping for, still caught her off guard slightly. Was there really anything keeping her here? Sure her family was here, but they were not much of one. Parents that would trade her off just so they could keep good ties with another family that would likely try to kill them either way. No. This place was no longer her home, never really was. It had never been the pride she believed it could be while she was growing up. Dara turned and looked hard at Mume, nodding. “Yes, let’s go.” She replied. There was nothing here, perhaps she could find a better life outside this place, in the lands she had always wished to see. “We should go quickly though, it is only a matter of time before they realize I am gone.”
Without another word she hurried past Upendo’mume, out of the trees and in tot he clear, open lands beyond. Hesitation slowed her for a moment as her paws fell on to land just beyond the borders of her home, however she forced herself to move forward, one paw after the other. Soon she found herself moving more easily again.

His heart was sent aflutter with her answer and quickly made to follow after her with the sound of yelling in the distance behind him. No doubt whatever she had done to slip her extra shadows was wearing off, likely realizing she was gone. Glad there was no compromise or discussing them leaving, he smiled. Upendo'mume ran out into the free lands, nudging her gently as he moved passed her, mane flowing with the wind as large paws hit the ground, knocking up grass while he ran towards the sunny horizon. He was free now.
They were free and that was a wonderful feeling.

Dara couldn’t help but smile as Upendo’mume ran past her. He seemed so happy, and she realised that she felt just as happy. She quickened her pace after him, bouncing slightly in each step. Free. It felt wonderful indeed. No worrying that another family would send someone after you, to kill you. However in the back of her mind she knew they were still not done with it. Her parents would surely send lions to look for them, to bring her back, however she pushed the thought to the back of her mind. Dara’moshra didn’t want such thoughts ruining this moment where she actually felt happy, like she could do what she wanted with her life. For now she intended to enjoy it, and they could deal with other problems later.
