Bix had just woken up when the phone went off and he grumbled to think it would be a mission. Thankfully it wasn't but Gale seemed to want to spar. At 7am? He usually at least ate his breakfast before fighting!!
The grumbling albino didn't take long to get dressed and get to the training field but he probably took his time out of spite. All he got to munch on was a granola bar on his way.
The training grounds were not deserted but it was the fewest people that would be out all day. As the day wore on the white coats would fill the fields but for now there was only a smattering of people, 3 at the most, and one of them was Gale.

When Bix got to the field, Gale was already there, ready and waiting. He supposed 7am was perhaps a little early to be fighting, but after his last loss to Marcus he was determined to get stronger. And for that, he needed to train as much as he could.
He even managed to crack a smile at the sleepy looking albino.

"Gimli." Bix grinned and summoned his weapon with a yawn. "What's the occasion?" He stretched a little, as much as he could get in before the fight. "Sick of my shenanigans? Ready to kick my butt?" He teased.

"Not Gimli," came the almost automatic reply. "Can't I be like...Aragorn or something?"
"And yes," he went on, summoning Jinhai, with a small smile on his face. "I am ready to kick your butt, as a matter of fact."

"If you want." Bix frowned. "Gimli and Legolas are the best though. They are the best battle partners and they overcame their differences, their racial sterotypes, to become amazing friends." Bix was still talking about it when he took the first attack. "Nice! Did you know Gimli was the first dwarf ever to go off to the Undying Lands with the elves?" NEEERD! He perked, the hit waking him up, and retaliated with his own attack. HP: 39/50 Damage: 6 Charge: 1/2

There was a slight pause. Then Gale, lifting his brows in amusement, said in a deliberately casual tone of voice, "So, what you're saying is you have some sort of racial stereotype against me."
"Also you're a nerd," he added, rather as an afterthought as he swung the rifle around and fired off a second shot, aiming for Bix's leg.

"I AM a nerd." He agreed. "C'mon you're supposed to be on board with Lord of the rings.. cause... YOU ARE BRITISH." Way to go for stereotyping! The second shot hit him in the leg and he staggered from the impact. Bix strafed to the side and fired again. Gale must have shifted, or perhaps he was off balance, but his arrow merely skimmed the other boy's arm. HP: 29/50 Damage: 1 Charge: 2/2

Sure Bix was being completely unreasonable about this whole thing but... STILL. Bix stepped back and unleashed a well aimed volley of arrows at his friend. "Alright.. forget it." He grumped. Grump grump. "Other than soccer.. what do you actually LIKE?" HP: 21/50 Damage: 11 Charge: 2/2

There was a slight pause while Gale tried to catch his breath again. The first thing that came to his mind was, of course, the name of a certain someone, but that would have been stupid and he was not about to admit that to Bix.
"I like training," he said, and grinned. "And kicking your arse."
Which he was doing a pretty, good job of, if he said so himself.

"Your life can't JEEZUS.." He was hit again, feeling his shield weakening. Mina was hissing angrily in his head. "..can't just be training though. You'll go crazy. I need to get you a girlfriend or something." Bix hopped to the side and less loose a few more arrows. "Being a nerd doesn't keep me warm at night but it's a good distraction. You ready for Vday? I got you something.." He made a kissy face at Gale. HP: 12/50 Damage: 4 Charge: 2/2 kuromeez just making this the day before Vday for convenience of the conversation lol

He dodged one arrow, but another snapped at his leg, and Gale stumbled, nearly falling. His face red, he turned back to glare at the albino.

"I'll probably need one after this fight." Bix flashed a smile but fought on. He wasn't very competitive with Gale. Marcus? Maybe. Robert? He'd love to beat that guy in a fight. But not with his real friends. He didn't stress about losing or getting beat up. Bix fired off another round of arrows, satisfied as he made Gale into a pin cushion.  HP: 8 / 50 Dmg: 9 Charge: 2 / 2

Gale hopped around in a very silly fashion, Bix's arrows raining down on him and making him quite pathetic.
"Ow - ow - ow - and yes, you will, because I'm going to win and - man this battle is cathartic - "
Except he missed his next shot, Gale still hopping around like an idiot.
