Kohrisu - NovaCracker
&
Mori'earsira - Das Tor

Sira rarely left his mate and their charge for long these days. But this night...he found himself away from them, looking up at the star-filled sky. His demon was stirring again, wishing to make itself known. And he wasn't sure how to deal with it. His demon didn't pipe up often, but when it did...it demanded blood. And the blood of a prey beast wouldn't suffice. He sighed, shaking his head and closing his eyes a moment. He couldn't talk to either female about this. Aamira wouldn't understand, and Haramu was...her demon was very calm, very different from his.

Koh limped along, set on his path and trying to look as full of resolve as the male could, almost blind to his surroundings. He had to find her.

Of course, he was afraid, but she.. He couldn't figure his thoughts out and simply walked, resolute, almost not seeing another male nearby.

Sira smelled the other before seeing him. The older male sat himself up, frowning. He had hoped he'd be left alone. Apparently, that was not to happen. And...wait a moment. What was the fool doing walking around injured? Even demons knew better than to aggravate their injuries if they were smart. "You look like you're on a mission." No introduction, just a simple, monotone observation...as was usual with Mori'earsira.

Koh blinked, but looked over, nodding.

"That I am. Am I intruding?" Worry flicked on the male's face. He had no means to protect himself...

Sira shook his head. "No. This is no one's land, after all." He smiled slightly. "Perhaps I can help you find what you're looking for?" Unlike most born in the demons...Sira had found helping others was...rewarding at times.

"I'm looking for a lady named Moricorm. She's my mistress."

So doubted Ri would want to hear he called her mate!

"Have you seen her?"

Moricorm. That was a name he had not heard in more than a few seasons. He looked the male over, seeing how he could be taken as a slave. And he felt a bit of pity for the male. Moricorm, from what he remembered, was hard on her Na'artu and Na'artue. "I've not seen her in quite some time. I suspect she is out recruiting again, than? And you got separated from her." And knowing the lioness he remembered, she was likely looking for him. She was...possessive.

"I am." He nodded, smiling good naturedly.

"Twisted it sounds... She needs me."

Sira raised a brow. Moricorm? Needing anyone? That was new. "If she does, she likely will never admit it. Not if she's the same as I remember her." He hadn't known her WELL...but he knew her well enough. Enough to know she was vicious, often unpredictable, and...well, her rather strong dislike of leopons was well known.

"Of course." Koh shrugged his shoulders. "Still."

Sira shook his head. "You are odd, going back to her. I know at least one Na'artu of hers would have taken a chance like yours willingly...whether she needed him or not." Perhaps he had, if she had a new Na'artu.

Kohrisu shrugged.

"I can't explain it. But I can't leave her."

The former Aikanaro'hini lion looked Koh over, his gaze not betraying any emotion. The male didn't SEEM to be out of his mind. "Where did the injuries come from?" Be sure they weren't from Moricorm. He knew she did use punishment. But as severe as that...despite things, it didn't seem like her. Not towards what she considered 'hers'.

"I got into a fight. With a daughter of hers." He frowned quietly.

Sira frowned. She'd had cubs? Oh hell. It seemed at least one was more insane than her. "I see. Well..." He stood. "You're more likely to find her if you stay in one place. My mate, charge, and I aren't going anywhere for a couple of days. You are welcome to stay with us. Knowing her, she'll be looking for you."

"I'd appreciate that." Koh smiled tiredly, sitting. He hadn't considered Ri looking for him.

"Kohrisu. My name." He noidded.

"I am Mori'earsira." He bowed his head, one paw to his chest. "Moricorm and I hail from the same pride, though it has been a few seasons since I numbered myself among the Aikanaro'hini." He and Haramu had to. For the sake of any pale cubs they had in the future.

Kohrisu smiled, chuckling good naturedly. Oh! There!

"My home pride is the Matembezi'Wasakaji." But his smile for Mori was kind, even gentle. Perhaps both prides were wrong?

Sira nodded. He'd heard of the Matembezi'wasakaji before. He'd never BEEN there. But he'd heard. They were almost the same as the Mwako'bi'Giza apparently. "Ah. How did you end up a Na'artu?" He motioned for the other to follow him.

He chuckled, shrugging.

"I ended up following her on a whim and it sort of happened." Smile. "I guess fate has an odd sense of humour."

Ended up...following her. On a whim. What the hell? Sira's confusion showed. And he sighed and shook his head. "I see." She must have been acting nice. That the only thing he could think of. He knew the demoness was capable of acting like she was nice, it was how she'd snagged her first Na'artu, and how she'd gained so many of her contacts.

Kohrisu sighed.

"It was better than remaining amidst the unrest in my home." He chewed a lip.

Unrest? "There was unrest in your pride?" It was never pleasant to hear of unrest within a pride. A pride was supposed to remain strong, and solid. Unified. Even the demon-hunters, enemies as they'd once been of his, did not deserve unrest.

"Unfortunately my great-uncle is... Less than all there emotionally. So it wasn't an easy choice. I cannot return, now." Kohrisu frowned before looking away and down at his toes. His home, grandmother, family, friends....

He was in a way glad to be safe.

Sira nodded. "I know how you feel. I..." He sighed. "It was not an easy choice for Haramu and I to leave the Aikanaro. But we had to. Perhaps, one day, our dark cubs may find their ways there, and fill the hole we left behind." He missed having other demons around, however. How was his father doing? His mother? His almost-mother? And his less-unsavory siblings..."What is done is done. We can only move forward."

Kohrisu nodded.

"I can say the same if I ever had cubs. I suppose that is the curse of time however." He smiled, and sighed, looking tired.

"I think I need to rest here." He circled, laying down.

"Hopefully I would not be too far? I don't want to intrude."

Sira nodded and chuckled. "Just another couple of moments." He nodded to a gathering of rocks. "They're resting behind those. They make a nice protective ring."

Kohrisu nodded.

"That's good. I'll try to help with hunting, if that's alright." He smiled, yawning as he rest his head on his paws. His eyes fluttered.

Sira nodded. "If you are up to it. If not, do not worry about it." He moved towards his mate and charge, to let the male sleep. He needed it, obviously.

Koh... Merely curled up, and slept, peacefully.
