Title should be self explanatory. The car is a '04 Civic LX with 1036xx on the odometer. Got the car at 9xxxx. Don't know when the last change was. I picked up 4 quarts of high mileage 10w-30 if I remember correctly and a K&N oil filter.

A couple of days before the change use Seafoam. The Seafoam will clean out the engine and turn your oil pitch black which is why you only use it just before an oil change. Follow the link for more information.

make sure you dont double gasket
make sure the old gasket from the old filter comes off w/ the old filter
if not you can remove it easily
